02:01First, these are not coercive measures and they are not against China
02:05that is very important they are not measures against a country
02:10we have a very good relationship with China and we want to continue having a very good relationship
02:17with them so it is not against a particular country far from it these are decisions we take for all those countries with which we do not have a free trade agreement so we are not violating any international rule there are many countries in this condition it is a decision taken to strengthen our economy
02:39And in this context the president also said that Mexico continues to be open for dialogue for countries that do not have a free trade agreement right now
02:46We had already talked with the Chinese government a few months ago a commission went there and here we talked with the ambassador who recently presented his credentials
02:54and next week we will talk with them particularly South Korea also approached our foreign minister to have a dialogue and we will always be open to talks
03:01There is nothing against any country it's a decision that we consider important to strengthen Mexico
03:08and we will always be open to talks
03:10There is nothing against any country it's a decision that we consider important to strengthen Mexico
03:16Mexico's economy the dialogue with all of them is open to talks
03:23The dialogue with all of them is open
03:28So the decision is not discriminatory coercive or anything like that
03:33It is for all countries with which we don't have any trade deal and the objective is to strengthen the national production

08:45Universities and workers from the healthcare sector at the Garahan Hospital in Buenos Aires
08:51are holding a 48-hour strike in protest against the vetoes of President Javier Milley
08:57After his party's defeat in the Buenos Aires election last Sunday
09:00the Argentine President decided to reaffirm his economic policy
09:04by vetoing funds to public universities and the Garahan Hospital as well
09:09On the other hand, the Federation of the University Teachers, FEDUM
09:12began a 24-hour strike in all educational institutions in the country

09:30and throughout the country in rejection of these government vetoes
09:35And we stay in Argentina because the governors were also denouncing the government's vetoes
09:46on the Treasury allocation for provinces' law
09:49According to President Milley, the law undermines fiscal balance
09:52and distorts the fund's emergency purpose
09:54insisting on executive discretion to address federalism-bearing needs
09:59The executive order was forwarded to the Senate for review
10:03where lawmakers can override the veto with a two-thirds majority
10:07The law is a congressional measure aimed at allocating emergency funds from the Treasury
10:14to all the provinces in the country
10:16The governors emphasized that the provinces expect concrete answers
10:21and not just pictures for electoral purposes
10:28And in Brazil, after former President Jair Bolsonaro was convicted for attempted coup
10:34hundreds of citizens took to the streets to celebrate
10:37across the South American country
10:39squares turned into festivals celebrating the Supreme Court's verdict
10:43and defending democracy, citizens asserted that this conviction marks the end of a threatening and authoritarian cycle in the country
10:53Supporters of President Luis Ignacio Lula da Silva viewed the conviction as a necessary measure
10:58to protect democracy and ensure that no one is above the law
11:03So, today's conviction reflects what we're feeling
11:13not only a sense of justice, but also hope for a sovereign future for Brazil
11:17Above all, it shows that by defending democracy
11:20starting from the defense of democracy
11:22we can achieve a truly beautiful national project for our country
11:25And we go now to Barcelona as thousands went out into the streets
11:31in defense of their independence in the Autonomous Communities National Day
11:37The demonstration was attended by more than 20,000 people
11:41who waved banners and chanted independent slogans calling for cessation from Spain
11:46Despite the large numbers of participants, the separatist movement faces internal divisions
11:51due to the controversial proposal by the far-right party Catalan Alliance
11:56This mobilization comes amidst a wide-ranging debate within Spain on the independence of Catalonia
12:02divided between those who insist on self-determination
12:06and those who call for the strengthening of dialogue with the Spanish state
12:10And in other news, in the Philippines, university students went out from their classes
12:22to protest against recent measures taken by the government of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
12:28Precisely hundreds demonstrated in the capital Manila against budget cuts
12:32and poorly executed infrastructure projects
12:35A few days ago, two senators were implicated in a corruption case involving flood control projects
12:41which is currently under investigation by the Philippine Congress
12:45In the scenario, professors and activist groups supported the students
12:49and called for transparency and accountability from the government and also from other politicians
12:56And we go now to Nepal because the death toll from the social unrest in the country has risen to 51
13:08while more than 1,000 have been injured
13:11According to local authorities, three security agents, one Indian national and dozens of civilians were among the dead
13:18while there are still 36 unidentified bodies at the Tribuan University Hospital in Kathmandu
13:26Nepal faced the social crisis after the government blocked 26 social media platforms last Tuesday
13:32a measure which ignited the frustration that had built up after corruption scandals that were spread by destabilizing groups
13:41The protesters set fire to symbols of power such as the Parliament building, the Supreme Court and the Presidential Office
13:50as well as storming the private residence of several prominent political figures in the country
