01:07Venezuela's acting president Delcy Rodriguez called for national cohesion to confront the
01:12aggression perpetrated by the United States.
01:15The president leader denounced that the country is facing a savage and criminal aggression
01:19by the United States following the attack perpetrated against Venezuelan territory.
01:24She also emphasized that the country is resisting an asymmetrical confrontation with a nuclear power,
01:31but remains determined and maintained its historical moral superiority.
01:36Rodriguez also calls for strengthening national unity with three objectives, preserving peace,
01:41rescuing president Maduro and first combatant Celia Flores, and conserving political power to defend the people.
01:48Acting president Rodriguez affirmed that this battle corps is the Bolivarian revolution.
01:54And we have to proceed with patience and strategic prudence, with very clear objectives, brothers and sisters, clear objectives.

03:56And we stay in Venezuela. The United Socialist Party of the country urged the Venezuelan people to move
04:01forward in the development of the country together with Acting President Delce Rodriguez in the face of
04:06the kidnapping of Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro. The Party Secretary General de Estado Cabello
04:12asked the Venezuelan people to focus on peace and reiterated that the government is doing what it
04:18must to ensure the return of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Celia Flores. Cabello emphasized that
04:24the Bolivarian government continues to operate under the guidelines left by the constitutional head of state
04:30before he was kidnapped. In this sense, Cabello urged Venezuelans to continue the Bolivarian
04:35revolution and express the support of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela for the decisions
04:40of Acting President Delce Rodriguez.
04:47Also in Venezuela, the Ministry of the People's Power for the Penitentiary Service announced the 116
04:54new releases of people accused of disrupting the constitutional order and threatening the stability
05:00of the nation thanks to the coordination between the institutions that make up the South
05:04American country's justice system. The Ministry emphasized these actions followed the comprehensive
05:10review of cases voluntarily initiated by Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro Moros. This process has
05:17continued under the direction of Acting President Delce Eloina Rodriguez Gomez within the framework of a
05:24policy geared towards justice, dialogue and the preservation of peace. This review procedure will be maintained on a
05:32permanent and continuous basis always in strict compliance with the legal system in force.
05:38Finally, the statement highlights the Venezuelan state thus reaffirms its institutional strength
05:44and commitment to delivering justice in the exercise of its sovereignty with measures that contribute to
05:50consolidating peace for the entire Venezuelan people.
05:53On Monday, Venezuela began the second half of the 2025-2026 school year with complete
06:05normality despite the recent US military attack against the country. The Ministry of Education informed
06:12that children and young people across the country are returning to classrooms after the December holiday
06:19period. According to authorities, the country's educational institutions are in optimal condition thanks to a
06:26rehabilitation and preventive maintenance plan promoted by President Nicolás Maduro. In addition,
06:32all educational institutions are guaranteed the school feeding program which provides breakfast,
06:39lunch and snacks to students as part of the Bolivarian government's social protection policies.
06:50In this context, the Venezuelan Acting President Delce Rodriguez attended the start of the second school term of
06:562026 after the recent US attacks against the country. From a newly inaugurated school in La Guayra, Rodriguez
07:04highlighted the progress evidenced in several educational centers throughout the country following renovations
07:11to their infrastructure in order to provide higher quality to the teaching process. In this regard,
07:17the President also referred to the school feeding program as an important factor in the growth of
07:23enrollment. Delce Rodriguez stated that education and food are two of the highest priority sectors
07:30for investment in Venezuela guaranteeing daily care for two million children throughout the country.

07:46Claudia Sheyman referred to a telephone conversation she had with her US counterpart Donald Trump.
07:52The head of state mentioned the work of the joint Mexican-US Commission aimed at implementing
07:57actions against drugs and organized crime groups on both sides of the border. In this regard,
08:04Sheyman highlighted the decrease in fentanyl seizures in the United States,

11:00Welcome back to From the South. And we go right away to Cuba. President Miguel Díaz-Canel denied any
11:06ongoing negotiations with the United States following Trump's statements on the matter. On his social
11:12media, President Díaz-Canel said, there are no talks with the US government except for technical
11:18contacts in the area of migration. We have always been willing to engage in serious and responsible
11:23dialogue with various US administrations, including the current one, on the basis of sovereign equality,
11:30mutual respect, principles of international law, mutual benefit without interference in internal affairs,
11:37and with full respect for independence. The origin and extreme tightening of the blockade have no
11:43connection with Cubans living in the US who were driving there by that failed policy and by the
11:50privileges of the Cuban Adjustment Act. They are now victims on the change in policies toward migrants
11:56and the betrayal of Miami politicians. As history shows, for relations between the US and Cuba to move
12:03forward, they must be based on international law rather than hostility and threats and economic coercion.
12:16In this context as well of US threats and intimidation attempts given Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez
12:23highlighted the importance of a new world order. On X, the Foreign Minister stated that there is an urgent
12:29need for a new democratic and equitable international order that guarantees peace, the right to development,

13:15In response to the recent offensive statements by the US President against Cuba,
13:20the people's response has been immediate. Rejection, indignation, and reaffirmation of national sovereignty.
13:28We, Cubans, remain firm. We are not intimidated by Trump's position or the measure he takes.
13:34We are truly committed to our land, and we will defend it to the last drop of blood with all the courage
13:39and dedication that we show the world, and the example that we set for the world with all our
13:45exemplary behavior, which means that we, as Cubans, must defend this land to the very end.
13:56We totally disagree with all of Trump's nonsense and lies.
14:02And he needs to know that we, as Cuban,
14:04are the heirs of Antonio Maceo. We are the heirs of Fidel Castro. Not because we are related to him,
14:14but because we share and defend their ideas. And really, the only thing we said, as Maceo said,
14:23is whoever tried to take over Cuba will only collect the dust from its blood-soaked soil if they
14:29don't perish in the struggle. And as Fidel said, homeland or death, we will prevail, socialism or death.
14:39The main war is to avoid war. And that is what Venezuela, the people of Cuba, Nicaragua, all the
14:45countries of Latin America and the Caribbean are doing, avoiding war. Today, Cuba and Latin America
14:51demand that Venezuela no longer be attacked, that the world no longer be attacked. And Cuba will fight
