00:00Got my first victory of the year.
00:02Did you?
00:03Yeah.
00:04Who did I tell you I was betting yesterday?
00:06Oh, you bet the Cowboys.
00:07Yeah, you bet the Cowboys.
00:08That's right.
00:09Should have won outright with C.
00:12Lamble's stone hands.
00:13Oh, my goodness.
00:14I've never seen a receiver that you usually think of as being reliable.
00:21Miss some bunnies.
00:23Yep.
00:24But, like, I mean, and what gets lost in this is we're going to look back
00:30and say Dak only had 152 yards passing.
00:34But he was carving that defense up.
00:36No, he should have.
00:37I mean, they had two drives.
00:39You had the fumble, which they were steamrolling.
00:43They should have probably scored on that drive.
00:44I mean, that felt bad for him.
00:47And then, yeah, the pass to C.
00:49D. Lamb would have set them up pretty as well.
00:51I don't know Dallas – I'm sure Dallas – I don't know how you feel
00:55because you're just on the – you're on the road with the champs,
00:59but you're also going to be sick with yourself for not winning that game.
01:02But here's the deal, and here's what I like to tell people
01:06about higher levels of sports.
01:10You have the ability to do something great.
01:16Everybody that's in the NFL.
01:17What separates you is the closer that best gets to your normal, right?
01:29A Hall of Famer does that every time, no questions asked.
01:34You can count on it.
01:35He going to make great plays, right?
01:37And it's just different levels of it.
01:39So, yeah, you're in the league.
01:41Like, you can be great at times, but what separates you is your ability
01:47to be able to do it over and over again.
01:48And I say that because Dallas, in moments, looked like the best team on the field.
01:55But when they tried to sustain it, then Dallas poked its head out.
02:01Yeah, I mean, their defense wasn't very good yesterday either.
02:04They got bowled over.
02:05Oh, and Saquon.
02:08Saquon going to give you something every game where he just does something.
02:11You go, really?
02:13Yeah, it's ridiculous.
02:14He's a moose.
02:16And then Jalen Hurts is like, he's so elusive.
02:19How is – and I asked this when the list came up,
02:24so I'm not asking this after the fact.
02:27How is Jalen Hurts the 10th best quarterback in the league?
02:32It's crazy.
02:33No, I don't understand it.
02:34It's – it's wild to me.
02:36Like, I know it wasn't – I get it.
02:38The game wasn't, like, the most impressive passing game.
02:40But, like, any time he was in danger yesterday,
02:42he was just as elusive as anybody else in the league.
02:45And then you know he's a moose.
02:47So –
02:48As Spoh would say, he makes winning plays all the time.
02:54So a quarterback who knows when he needs five yards and can run and get it
03:01or knows when he needs 15 yards and throws a dart, right?
03:05You keep adding those together.
03:07That makes you a good NFL quarterback.
03:10I know somebody who likes it because that's what his favorite thing is
03:12with a quarterback.
03:14Mobile, dude.
03:16Mobile.
03:19So, what did you think of – we talked about it, obviously, in the first –
03:24That's a whole spit gate, dude.
03:26I'm going to tell you all the story.
03:28Now, I can come over there and punch you in the face.
03:35And you'll be like, what the hell?
03:38But if I spit on you, that's a whole other level of disrespect.
03:43I was playing with the Vikings and Corey Fuller, who went to Florida State.
03:49Corey Fuller was playing cornerback.
03:51And you remember Eric Winter, who was known as a dirty player?
03:55He was a center.
03:56He pulled out, blocked Corey.
03:59They get into it.
04:02Winter spits on Corey.
04:06We lose him.
04:11He's had this new computer he's trying, Marcos, and it's been like –
04:14it's been yakking up.
04:16Like, I don't know what's going on with that, but it was – it's great.
04:20I love the position that he – he always seems to get stuck in the most compromising position
04:24whenever he's freezing happens.
04:27It's so great.
04:28Man, that's unfortunate.
04:29All right.
04:30There we go.
04:32They got suspended, and so be it.
04:34And once –
04:35You got suspended for like 30 seconds there.
04:38Like, what happened?
04:38So you said Corey –
04:40Corey poked him in the eye like three stooges.
04:43They both got kicked out.
04:46Both got suspended.
04:48And every single player in the NFL said, if you spit on me, it's go time.
04:57It is the most disrespectful thing you can do to another grown man other than open-hand slap.
05:06Open-hand slap is pretty disrespectful too.
05:08I think spitting is more disrespectful.
05:10Yeah, but yeah.
05:11What's a backhand slap?
05:12I feel like a backhand slap is like – I don't even want to give you my palm.
05:17I feel like that's even more –
05:19What is it when you challenge somebody to do a duel?
05:21Is that slapping with a glove?
05:23Yeah.
05:24I don't even want you to touch my hand.
05:26I tell you what.
05:27You ever watch those slap fights?
05:30Yeah.
05:31Oh, they're crazy.
05:35People – like, doctors legitimately say that's the most dangerous thing that we're
05:39allowing people to do, the slap fight.
05:42It's like there's no defense.
05:43You're literally just sitting here openly allowing yourself to be slapped.
05:48Yeah.
05:49And then you get the countdown.
05:51One.
05:53Yep.
05:54Two.
05:54It's like, oh my –
05:55The visual they have of the chalk, the chalk that hits the face as well because they
05:59chalk up their hands.
06:02It's – I mean, look.
06:03I'm sure it's going to be – it'll be around for a while.
06:06It has been around for a while.
06:07It's just Dana White's invested in it now.
06:09But the Russians have been doing it for a while.
06:12The – we got some of these – the culprits.
06:16We have the parties of B when it comes to this.
06:18Marcos, can we hear first from – let's hear first from Jalen Carter on – what the
06:25hell was he thinking?
06:26Jalen, when it happened, were you like in a fit of rage or what was your –
06:30No, I was calm.
06:31You know, I walked off the field calmly.
06:32I was not mad.
06:34You know, that's pretty much – I couldn't really do nothing else.
06:36You know, the rough decision is the rough decision.
06:40What?
06:42That was a calm spit.
06:43Yeah.
06:44I don't think you can do that.
06:46I don't think that happens calmly.
06:47Can you – you can't disrespect somebody in the worst way possible as a man and just
06:55say, I was calm.
06:56I was calm.
06:57I was calm, guys.
06:58I was calm.
06:58All right?
06:59I said – you said we couldn't hit each other.
07:01You didn't say we couldn't not spit on each other.
07:03Were you – like, how did you watch yesterday?
07:05Because I was – we were talking about this in the – like, I was confused.
07:08I had to wait until, like –
07:09I was watching it, and I was like, did he spit?
07:13And sometimes because of, like, if the screen is – it looks like they're facing each other,
07:19but they could be off to the side.
07:21So I didn't really –
07:23Yeah, like, we saw he was, like, over the line of scrimmage, and he was John –
07:27I guess Dak was saying he was trying to talk to the rookie to try, I guess,
07:33intimidate him or something like that.
07:34And then Dak and him got a – like, Dak, they showed he spit, but, like –
07:39Dak, he spits over to the side.
07:40He spit on the ground.
07:41He claims he's a spitter.
07:43Spits all the time.
07:45But then, of course, it got up to level.
07:48Here was Dak Prescott on the whole situation.
07:51Probably spit a thousand times throughout the game.
07:53I mean, especially game day, maybe even in general,
07:56and something I guess I'm not proud of.
07:57But in that case, he was trolling, I guess you could say, trying to mess with Tyler Booker.
08:01I was just looking at him.
08:02I was right here by the two linemen.
08:04And I guess I needed to spit, and I wasn't going to spit on my linemen,
08:07and I just spit ahead.
08:08But I would say he was back there where Jory was in that sense.
08:10And he asked – or he goes, you trying to spit on me?
08:13And at that point, I mean, I felt like he was insulting me.
08:15Like, I don't – I wouldn't spit on somebody.
08:17I'm damn sure not trying to spit on you.
08:18Like, we're about to play a game.
08:19I'm wondering why you're trying to mess with the rookie.
08:21And so when I step through, I actually say the words, like, what the hell would I –
08:24excuse me, but I'm probably even more colorful.
08:26What would I need to spit on you for?
08:27And he just spit on me in that moment, and it was more of a surprise than anything.
08:31Refs obviously saw it through the flag.
08:32I was like, hell yeah, we get 15 yards to start the game off.
08:35Didn't realize he was getting ejected.
08:37Unfortunate that he did.
08:38Hell of a player.
08:39Changed our plan and our blocking scheme.
08:41As I've told you all right before the week, that we're going to protect against him.
08:44So, helped in that manner.
08:45But I don't wish for anybody to get out of the game.
08:47I'm sure he probably regrets that to some extent.
08:49I'm pretty sure he knows that didn't try to spit on him or wasn't even aiming to spit on him.
08:53Something that's probably going to get a lot of coverage and a lot of attention that I feel sorry for him.
08:58In the sense of, yeah, I mean, I know how excited each and every one of us are, right,
09:02to kick off the season and the season opener.
09:04And a hell of a player like that doesn't even get a chance in the first play.
09:07Yeah, unfortunate circumstances.
09:10And then as he leaves the podium, he goes,
09:12That's what, see?
09:17Can I just say this?
09:18How many times did he call the hell of a player?
09:20How many times?
09:21Can I just say this, Tobin?
09:23Hell of a player.
09:23Too much.
09:24You would be the reason why melees start in every sport.
09:29That's not fair, dude.
09:30Really?
09:31Listen, if we took the situation with Van Gundy holding on to the leg, right?
09:39Somewhere Tobin's behind there instigating that.
09:41Oh, yeah.
09:42It's really unfortunate.
09:43We lost their most intimidating defender on the line.
09:46Shame about that.
09:47Hell of a player.
09:48Hell of a player.
09:49It'd have been something if he just said, shouldn't have spit.
09:53Sorry.
09:54But this is the problem.
09:55Is Jalen Carter, a little immature, you know, he's trying to say, I was calm.
09:59I was calm.
09:59But then you have Dak Prescott, who's basically like a mayor.
10:02He's probably going to run for like the governor of Texas one day.
10:05And he's just so polished.
10:06And he's got QB, you know, just like, oh, yeah.
10:10Well, you know, I'm not proud that I spit all the time.
10:15Right.
10:16Hell of a player.
10:18He's a hell of a player.
10:19By the way, come down to Arlington Chevy.
10:22We have all the best Chevys.
10:23You know, like I could just.
10:25He's just.
10:26This is a dapper veteran that's up there.
10:29Right.
10:29He's got no shot.
10:30Hello, Blair.
10:31Hello, Blair.
10:31Hello, Blair.
10:32Here's Nick Sirianni, who I still can't stand his face, his champion face.
10:35I still can't stand it.
10:37Here is he on the incident.
10:40I keep all our conversations and all my disciplinary things in house.
10:45But we got to do it.
10:46We have to fix it as coaches.
10:47Is this something where you might take disciplinary action against Jalen?
10:50Again, I will keep everything in house and we will.
10:53We will.
10:54You won't ever get that from me.
10:56We will.
10:57We will.
10:58Everything will always be handled in house, just like private conversations I have with
11:01players.
11:02None of that.
11:03None of that will ever be out to you guys.
11:06I'm sorry.
11:07All right.
11:07There you go.
11:08I mean, even when he says that you just want to.
11:12Right.
11:13Fade his face.
11:14And you know what?
11:16He's just got like this.
11:17The fact that we feel that way is an us prop.
11:20It ain't.
11:21It ain't his problem.
11:23I don't know.
11:24I don't know if it is.
11:25He's been coaching for what?
11:26Four years.
11:26He's been.
11:27What?
11:27How many Super Bowls?
11:28Two Super Bowls.
11:29Two Super Bowls.
11:30Nobody's denying he's a good coach.
11:31Right.
11:31So like if you have a problem with his antics or his just look, that's the you problem.
11:39That's a me problem.
11:40I guess.
11:42It doesn't feel like a me problem.
11:44It feels like a him problem.
11:45Like Marcus, do you like him?
11:50No, dude.
11:50No, I really think no one likes this guy.
11:52I don't think anyone likes this guy.
11:54And it's just how he handles himself.
11:59It's not anything particular that he does.
12:02But it's like, you ever talk to a guy and you go, can't trust him.
12:08Right?
12:08You just get that feeling.
12:10I think that's what.
12:11And so when he does do something wrong, it's magnified.
12:15And when he does win, everybody's like, they underplay it.
