00:00so you love to travel you have a phone or a camera love to take pictures and

00:06videos so how do you make money from this thing and not waste your time what

00:11do you shoot well that well that's a great great question and what we're

00:15going to talk about in this video is I want to give you a bunch of ideas so 10

00:18big tips on what to take photos and videos of when you're traveling to make

00:24money from microstock okay so the number one is why capture these moments when

00:30traveling and make extra cash number one is this it's a lot of fun it really is

00:35it's like hunting but you don't have to kill anything plus you're already

00:39traveling you already have you know a good camera or maybe a phone so why not

00:45right it's really a pretty cool thing to do so the number one tip is you want to

00:51shoot both photos and videos okay photos sell faster but videos sell for more

00:58money okay why not do both double your chance of the sale maybe somebody wants

01:03both and a great another tip too is when it comes to both of them you like a video

01:08should be 6 to 15 seconds right and a horizontal is better this way okay for

01:16videos this way is better okay it also depends on what you're shooting if it's

01:22like a skyscraper then obviously this could be be better but generally speaking

01:26horizontal is better okay all right next one it really comes down to supply and

01:34demand okay like most things in life so you want to shoot things that other people

01:41don't shoot okay for example a lot of people are shooting you know land uh landmarks

01:47like the eiffel tower right so it's gonna be hard to get noticed if there's so much

01:50of the eiffel tower on on these microsoft platforms so you want to be something

01:55different okay uh and that's gonna be better so you want to think outside the box and

02:01that's what we're gonna give you this well i'm gonna give you in this video all right

02:04number one is everyday street scenes right uh capturing normal people going

02:09throughout their daily life sells better than stage stuff uh it could be people

02:15walking shopping uh if you're listing the photo or the video uh and there's people

02:21in there and you can recognize them then with editorial photos and videos you don't

02:26need a release but if the person is recognized and it's for commercial you do need a release

02:32that's how they both work hopefully that makes sense so if there's like a brand or a person

02:37in there then just do editorial or you have to get them a sign a release which is trickier

02:43there's an app on your phone where you can do that you can ask somebody if you want but

02:46it's more work but generally commercial sells for more money i hope that makes sense um all right

02:55so you want to think outside the box so some great things at a park right uh job site you know those

03:02are great for business a hospital doing something strange like street yoga if you're you know

03:08traveling you see that you see something strange take a photo of it take a short video of it boom

03:13upload it you never know eating exercising getting off the bus stuff like that okay

03:20uh another great tip is off the beat places i love doing this when i'm traveling is going

03:27like you know strange alleyways you know not at dark time of course you don't want to be safe when

03:32you do it but like less visited temples right you know some small rundown towns unconventional

03:40travel methods you know close-ups of exotic flowers you know like family-run businesses like bakeries

03:47and tailor shops you know everyday life in small villages you know something like that anything

03:53strange like this video this is pretty strange look at this cat what the hell is he doing and

04:00now obviously i gotta point this out you don't want to overdo this and go crazy this is just a fun

04:05little hobby that we can do and make some cash out right this is not like every second taking a

04:10photo or video going nuts at this okay you just want to space it out you see something kind of cool

04:15you take a photo of it right you take a video of it that's it you know it's not too complex

04:20lifestyle and travel concepts are great ideas too a couple holding hands a travel with a backpack and

04:26a camera someone fishing you know someone's setting up a tent or cooking a meal boom while camping

04:33these just give you some ideas that kind of get you know brainstorm on what you should take photos

04:37and videos of when you're traveling you know a close-up of hands holding a passport uh ticket or boarding

04:43pass you get the idea all right um next up is architectural detail yeah like uh vintage street

04:52signs uh unique old-fashioned mailbox in fact i just discovered something today of a really cool

04:58mailbox with some art on it and bam i took a photo of it you never know right it's pretty cool um old

05:05water fountains uh alone lamp pot lamp posts on dusk or dawn uh you know iron balconies with some

05:14unique flowers a street graffiti is great i took a lot of street graffiti uh photos as well videos i love

05:23that stuff uh okay cultural festivals and events these are great because it gives you an excuse to get out

05:30the damn house right um and it's sexy you know anything different and unique that people aren't used

05:35to you know a little while ago i went to a pirate festival and of course there's a lot of stuff content

05:40right there boom pirates street parades music festivals uh garden festivals you know sports tournaments

05:49uh religious proceedings and pilgrimages all that kind of stuff it's all real cool go and check it out

05:57take some uh photos and videos of it okay nature and landscape here we go just like you know when

06:04you're a kid you ever do this when you have the scavenger hunt you have the fine weird crap you know

06:10uh but with this we can make money from it there you go uh unique things in nature right uh give me

06:17force you to go out there and take a hike uh back a long time ago i did the pacific crest hike through

06:23oregon that was such a painful experience i walked across oregon

06:27one time i ran out of water on a mountain you know i saw some couple i'm banging them that's the

06:35water man because i'm the water it was so painful my first day i sprayed my ankle on that thing i just

06:43kept going i just lived in a hammock just lived on outdoors but here's some ideas right you know like

06:50uh you know mushrooms are funky in the forest right you know cool stuff uh i feel the grass

06:59powerful waterfalls you know uh rivers you know the details of a spiderweb covering in the morning

07:06dew close-ups of insect life you know stuff stuff like that you can kind of mix it up what you want

07:12to do with these platforms and what my goal is is you want a variety of content out there so you have a

07:18lot of fishing hooks like fishing but you don't want to spam the same thing over and over again to

07:23these platforms like the same exact tree like just from a different angle right you want to mix it up

07:30a little bit so you have more variety out there and you have more of a chance to make and sell

07:35all right uh business settings are great it's something i need to work on

07:40you know uh and they have a lot of appeal more appeal than other things so when you're traveling you

07:47know be on the lookout for you know a stylish dress business person a local vendor at a market

07:54interacting with somebody you know uh close-ups of currency credit cards person at the atm you know

08:00when appropriate right you know a delivery person on a moped right stuff like that uh here's some ideas

08:08all right uh another one too which i even talk about is medicine that's the one very weak area

08:16of mine which i would love to take more i was actually at the hospital you know uh i had a family

08:21member go how all this content all around me in the hospital i could easily captured it you know

08:28and i was learning about like the ekg monitors and i was like reading about it wow that's crazy shit

08:34how this thing works you know boom you're gonna look out for it just some you know as you're going

08:40up throughout your day right so the hardest part about all this is really just uploading the content

08:46and the cool thing is is what i do is i do like 10 at a time because you want like batches to make it

08:53easier and i use ai to do all the heavy lifting you know it'll come up with tags for you and stuff

08:59you can steal what i'm using and i've been uploading to these platforms here and there's more

09:03but i don't try to go too crazy at it and there's services where you can pay to upload as well but

09:09they get a cut of it um and what i've been doing is when i upload it is i've been just you know

09:15listening to some rock music or a good podcast or somebody's this this youtuber has these scary

09:21stories so it's not too bad you know a little bit now and then you could do it and the time flies by

09:27and one last thing i want to talk about is equipment and i've had the shittiest phone in the world and

09:33i still made money at this thing so i mean obviously some of my works got rejected because of the light

09:38quality so a better phone or a better camera is still a good idea if you can do it but don't let

09:45the perfect equipment be an excuse not to do it um and there's that and uh you know microstock photos

09:54and videos is a great little hobby where you can actually you can earn some extra cash but just

09:58remember you know keep your standing it should be fun if you're not having fun doing then don't do it

10:02right uh so don't go too crazy don't get stressed out that you missed a shot or you know whatever uh

10:08you know travel enjoy life upload photos and videos and i kind of killed two birds with one stone

10:16so if nothing sells i still i still have a blast doing it okay that's my mentality all right so
