00:00How has it been having Trey here? Obviously, he's not participating in practice, but he's been around and talking to the young guys.
00:05Trey's been great. Trey's been a leader. Trey's been unselfish during this whole time.
00:09He's communicating to everybody. He's really trying to be a role model for the young guys and really give everything he can in terms of teaching them.
00:19So he's been great. It's part of the business. It's unfortunate, but I'd love the opportunity to coach him, obviously.
00:30And so we'll see how we'll see how it plays out. But again, that that that side of it is just it's an unfortunate part of the business.
00:36From a football standpoint, obviously, he's going to say, oh, I'm ready to go whenever that happens in the business side happens.
00:42How do you approach that coaching wise getting him on? Is it plug and play for a guy like that?
00:47I hope so. You know, I think obviously his his play, his resume, you know, warrants that.
00:54And, you know, he's working on his conditioning with Joey and the staff and he's doing a great job with the playbook and everything.
01:02And obviously, if we can get him out there, we can transition him onto the field, you know, fairly quickly, given his expertise and experience.
01:09It's appeared Trey's been super engaged at practice. What can you share just behind the scenes, meeting rooms, what he's brought?
01:15Same. He's been he's been great. He really has.
01:18And, you know, again, it's it's it's part of it's part of our business.
01:23So it's it's always difficult for coaches to talk about it, because obviously we're supportive of both sides.
01:30But they they have to, you know, they have to obviously come to a conclusion.
01:34But but he has done everything that we've asked and more.
01:38And he doesn't want to be a distraction.
01:40I know that's important to him and he hasn't been.
01:43And we're very appreciative that he's given us this opportunity to work without that.
01:47And I'm grateful personally.
01:49Quietly, do you have a practical deadline in the back of your head in terms of how much he would have?
01:54I don't. I don't. And I don't want to pass the buck on that.
01:56But like, again, like I'm coaching the guys that are here that are in front of me.
02:00And and that's my job, you know, because that's a reality of our business that, look,
02:04we haven't had the same two lineups for two weeks, three weeks straight right now.
02:08So forget about during the season.
02:10So but hopefully we'll get BJ back.
