00:09You know, Takario Davis in the third round here is an outstanding pick for us.
00:15He's a guy that we targeted just kind of through the draft process.
00:18When you look at big, long, athletic corners, and that can absolutely fly, he checks the box.
00:26You know, we felt good about going through the process with him, about having a guy on the outside that
00:33has high, high upside as a press corner,
00:35that can play man-to-man with elite receivers in this league.
00:39We feel like we got an outstanding prospect, and we were definitely excited to get him off the board there.
00:48How did you evaluate kind of the consistency in the tape and weigh that with, obviously, the athletic upside he
00:54brings to the table?
00:55Well, when you look back, he's someone that actually has played a lot of ball in terms of started at
01:03Arizona, then transferred to Washington.
01:05He came in and played right away.
01:08You know, probably threw him out on the fire just in terms of high-end athletic traits,
01:13and then somebody that over the course of his career has gotten better and better and better.
01:17And we feel like with our staff, with Al's vision for the guy, he was the perfect fit.
01:22Like I said, he was a guy that when we stacked our board, you kind of have guys you've got
01:27your eye on that you're targeting.
01:29And, you know, to come out with him in the third round, a lot of these guys go really early
01:33in the draft when you put it all together.
01:35You talk about the position, which is a premium position.
01:38You talk about the size and length.
01:40The guy's got over 33-inch arms, and he's running in low 4-4s.
01:45That's just hard to find, and, you know, we were lucky to get him at this point, and we felt
01:50great about it.
01:51How versatile is he?
01:53Can he play inside?
01:54Is that something?
01:55I guess, Al, maybe this is a question.
01:57Yeah, I think Trey already hit on it, but when you get these size guys on the perimeter, they also
02:04give you match-ups, right?
02:06So if you're playing a Metcalf or you're playing some of the more athletic, you know, tight ends in the
02:15league, he can match up inside, too, on third down.
02:18So he gives you a lot of varsity.
02:19We did it with Trey Flowers the last time I was here for some more athletic tight ends.
02:25But he just gives us great versatility, excellent press, jam, player, lateral quickness, and the long speed to match.
02:35I know you guys will be talking to Zach, but, you know, he spent a lot of time with Jed,
02:40and obviously it says a lot about Jed bringing him with him, you know, from Arizona to Washington and then
02:49ultimately him starting.
02:51So we think he's an impact guy and really excited about him.
