00:18are going to say, oh, well, James, that's ridiculous. I'm not saying that the Bengals
00:22should pay him that. I know that bridge has been burned. I know he's not coming back. I've accepted
00:28it. I think some of the fan base needs to accept it. But three years, $99 million. If teams are
00:35lining up to do that, give him two years guaranteed, guess what they're going to do? They're going to
00:39be willing to give up something for him if you franchise tag him. They're going to be willing
00:43to. They're going to be willing to give up something in a trade to get Trey Hendrickson on their roster.
00:48And Trey doesn't want to be tagged. Of course he doesn't. He wants to go get his three years,
00:51$99 million and pick his destination. But if you're the Bengals, you cannot let him do that.

01:01with the franchise tag window officially open, go to the combine, have conversations,
01:06get a deal done from a compensation standpoint, tell Trey's agent, hey, we have this deal done.
01:11You're going to talk and negotiate with them to get this. And maybe it's three or four teams,
01:17right? Where you get two different teams have third round pick offers, two different teams have
01:21fourth round pick offers and to sweeten it for Trey, to give him some incentive because he wants
01:26to be a free agent. I get it. You say, talk to any of those teams, figure out which one
01:30works best,
01:31and we'll do a deal with any of them based on the compensation they're willing to offer.
01:35The bottom line is, is Trey is an elite asset and you're part of the reason why the bridge is
01:41burned.
01:41And you cannot just let him leave in free agency because you won't get anything next year
01:45because you have to sign a bunch of guys in free agency this year to field a Super Bowl contending
01:50team this year, which is obviously the goal. It's sort of that simple. Trey Hendrickson has a ton
01:56of value. Three years, 99 million. I think if he actually gets the free agency, it could be far more
02:01than that. Maybe he gets three for 105 and gets that Max Crosby deal, that extension that Max signed
02:07last year. Maybe it goes higher. Maybe it gets three 115. And so that's why Trey wants to get the

02:14agency. You just don't know what you're going to get until you get there. Meanwhile, if you're the
02:18Bengals, you have to make it clear, be crystal clear communication-wise with his agent. And I get
02:24it. It's been weird. And his agent's going to throw a fit and all those things. Let him know today.
