The last documentary Rob Burrow CBE made with his family, which was released following his death, has been nominated for a National Television Award.

00:00Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow CBE made it his mission to fight and campaign for motor neurone disease following his 2019 diagnosis.
00:09Together with his wife Lindsay and their three children, he allowed BBC cameras to document the toll the disease takes on those with MND and those closest to them,
00:19in three documentaries, the third of which was broadcast following his death on 2 June 2024.
00:26Now, there's only one Rob Burrow has been nominated in the authored documentary category of the National Television Awards 2025,
00:35with Rob's wife Lindsay reflecting on how proud Rob was of the impact the documentaries had on the public's awareness of MND
00:42and how the nomination provides another chance to bang the drum for the MND community.
00:47Rob's passion and advocacy for using the platform he had to help raise the plight of the MND community sparked the nation's attention
00:55and alongside his former teammate and best friend Kevin Sinfield, the duo captured hearts and imaginations with their fundraising efforts,
01:04culminating in the current construction of the Rob Burrow Centre for MND in the Seacroft area of Leeds.
01:11Rob's first two documentaries, My Year with MND and Living with MND, were both nominated for National TV Awards 2,
01:19but lost out in the popular vote to Kate Garroway and Lewis Capaldi, respectively.
01:23It could be third time lucky for Rob at this year's awards, which are due to be broadcast live on ITV on Wednesday the 10th of September.
