00:00Leeds Rhinos legend Kevin Sinfield is making great strides on his latest
00:04running challenge which is raising awareness of and funds for motor
00:08neurone disease. He started in Liverpool on Sunday and the route is taking in
00:12Wrexham, Gloucester, Belfast, Glasgow, Hull, Northampton and Manchester and Kevin is
00:18making good progress by running more than 50 kilometres a day to complete the
00:22230 mile run called Running Home for Christmas. Each day will also include an
00:28extra mile event when Sinfield will be joining members of the MND community in
00:32completing four laps of a running track. The 44 year old has said his fifth
00:36annual challenge was part of a legacy for his former teammates Rob Burrow who
00:40was diagnosed with MND in December 2019 and who died in June. In December 2023
00:46Kevin ran seven ultramarathons in seven days across seven cities. With Rob being
00:51part of the first four challenges Kevin said it's pretty tough not to have him
00:54around this time but it means a lot to him that he represents Rob and his
00:58family in the right way.
