00:00We're here at St Licks, celebrating 10 years as a music venue and a bar, an important place
00:08for the city. Michael Woods is here, he's the owner, and we're going to find out some
00:13of his favourite places in Glasgow. So Michael, your best at Glasgow, what would you say are
00:16some of your favourite restaurants?
00:18Favourite restaurants? I love the Gannet. The Gannet's been fantastic over the past
00:23for 10 years as well, is that right? 12 years, Jesus Christ. So the Gannet is a staple as
00:28well for me and my wife. Peter's a fantastic chef and he runs a great shirt.
00:34Yeah. What about other bars for a pint when you're not in one of your own?
00:39Well, that's hard to see another. Best bar, I love the pot still, it's a great repub. The
00:49vibe in it, it's great. The whiskeys are fantastic. It's, I think it's, again, another favourite
00:54place of West regions is to pick up there and get a dram.
00:57Where would we go for a wee coffee?
00:59This side of town, I think, Spitfire. Great place, great people at run in Spitfire, a lovely
01:09family. And you get a nice family feeling in the place, I think. The coffee is beautiful.
01:14What about outdoor spaces in Glasgow? Outdoor spaces. I love the Necropolis. I think it's
01:22a great, great place to walk the dog. Beautiful. It's a bit morbid at points, but it's still
01:28a beautiful part of Glasgow, I think. That and everybody walking about Glasgow University
01:32is pretty stunning. There's so many, so many of these places.
01:35What about some of your favourite areas in the city, neighbourhoods? I love the East End,
01:39I love the Kelton, I love what's been created in here, so it's a great vibe. Melton City
01:44for me as well is a beautiful part of Glasgow. All the beautiful buildings, it's just stunning.
01:49It's stunning to walk about. Tell me about your Glasgow music. Who
01:52are your Glasgow musicians or bands that you like? Favourite band, Glasgow band, Blue
01:57Nails, Blue Nails. What, what, what, what? They're Clyde Bank. That's true, isn't it?
02:04That's so many people, I would tell you what he's praised lately. Any band that's come
02:10through from Glasgow has always got a soft spot in my heart. Favourite East Go Bride band?
02:16Oh, God's sake. It's Aztec camera. Aztec camera, I don't know.
02:23Okay, thanks, Michael. Perfect, folks.
