00:00All right, hi people, it's Sheiks here, I'm here to do, and I'm broadcasting for you guys today,
00:05and I guess, a mini-review of the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller. So, yeah, these things went up
00:11in price by, like, five bucks for reasons, because Nintendo want to try to, uh, not, like, suffer as
00:20much, I guess, from the tariffs, and, uh, yeah, it's why we elect better people than the person
00:26who's president of the United States right now. Anyways, so, um, yeah, it was, like, tariffs are
00:32not great. Anyways, so, yeah, um, so I bought one of these when it was still 85, 86 bucks on Amazon,
00:41and, yeah, like, it was a few days before it was supposed to go up in price, so, yeah. Then they
00:50had, like, a discount thing that kept it at the price that it was originally for a bit, so, yeah,
00:56well, I was gonna get one of these anyways at some point. But, yeah, so, yeah, it was a Pro
01:02Controller. We got the front right here, looks pretty cool, you got the Switch 2 logo on it and
01:06everything, Switch 2 logo right there, Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, and then it in, uh, French
01:12and Spanish, and on the side right here, you got a picture of it in someone's hands, Nintendo Switch 2
01:19logo, and the back of it, and, yeah. Then we got the back of the box with a thing for the controller
01:31that talks about the features and everything, and then how to charge it, basically. So, yeah.
01:39I did not originally get the Switch 1, um, Pro Controller, because I just didn't care, and
01:55I don't really, I didn't really have any Switch games that I needed it for, and I really wasn't
01:59playing the Switch at that point. But, yeah. So, we got the USB-C to USB 2 or 3 to USB-C cable,
02:09for charging. So, I'm assuming it's a similar cable to the one that came with my GameCube
02:16controller that Nintendo was selling on their website. Uh, so, yeah. Yeah, similar length,
02:28and I'm pretty sure it's just, yeah, with Nintendo's branding on it. And so, here we go with the
02:36controller itself in a, uh, styrofoam bag. So, here we go. And this, honestly, looks pretty
02:49good in terms of, like, how it is. It's obviously, I think, a refined design from the original
02:54Pro Controller, from what I've seen of it. Yeah, you can click these down. Button presses feel a little
03:01weird. Same thing with the, uh, D-pad, but they're fine. Otherwise, you got these two, uh, buttons,
03:09the plus and minus, so you can press the, uh, screenshot button, the home button, and the C button
03:14to bring up the chat. And then, up here, you got a sync button, the USB-C port, and the lights for
03:24indicating the battery life. You got the R and L, the R and ZL buttons, or just the triggers and the
03:32bumpers. Um, then down here, you have GR and GL, everything, and that's actually pretty good. Then,
03:41down here, you have a headphone jack, in case you want to use this to listen to your game audio while
03:48playing. But, yeah, so, let me see. Um, so, yeah, in order to use this, I'll just use this USB-C cable
04:05from my, uh, GameCube controller. Uh, we're just gonna connect it to Switch 2, as you can see right here.
04:18Uh, I don't like the thing so well, so...
04:48And there we go. I just paired it.
05:01And there we go.
05:04See, that was pretty good. In order to, like, set these to any buttons you want, you just, I think,
05:08go to the, um, settings on the console. But, yeah, that's actually really cool. Um...
05:21Okay, so it has the thing for using the GL and GR buttons.
05:25Uh, so, uh, just putting that in the sleep mode so that this controller turns off. I'm just gonna
05:36leave it plugged so it charges. But, yeah, so that's pretty good. Let's compare it to the only
05:42other pro controller I have, which is the Elite Series 2. In terms of size, they are very similar.
05:50The Elite Series 2, I would say, is a little bit bigger. It also feels heavier, um, because there's
05:55more in it, um, for what it is. Um, this just feels like a normal controller. Feels the same way,
06:03just about, as a, uh, DualSense. So, yeah, just to give you guys that. Um, they have a similar button
06:11configuration layout and everything. Also, kind of a similar color scheme. Yeah. And I did replace
06:20the, uh, the black, um, uh, sticks and d-pad on this with the, well, I think, I think actually,
06:29maybe this was great, I don't know, with blue ones because I needed to buy new ones because the
06:33other ones, I think this fell on the floor and the other ones, or the sticks just broke. So, yeah,
06:38in terms of the magnets and the, uh, the nubs that keep it, or they keep them from, uh, being
06:47stupid. So, yeah, and like twisting when they don't need to. But, uh, yeah. Um, so, yeah. So,
06:56otherwise, um, I think this is an okay controller. I'll definitely be testing it out as I play more
07:04Switch games that are not Pokemon games. Um, but, yeah, we'll see how that goes. Um, I've heard from
07:12a lot of people that, um, from other people's videos that, like, it is a very good and comfortable
07:17controller for the Switch, too. So, that's always good to hear. So, yeah. So, yeah, and it's just a
07:26regular controller as opposed to, um, and like based on, it's a controller based on, like, the DualSense
07:33and the Xbox controllers. So, yeah. Um, more leaning towards the Xbox side of things because
07:39the original Switch Pro controller was designed before the DualSense was. And again, this is just
07:48a refinement of that design. So, yeah. Um, so, really, I don't have much else to say about this
07:58other than, um, yeah. Excited to play some games with it. I think it is a little overpriced for
08:03what it needs to be. Like, uh, the Elite Series 2 is like over 100 bucks, but like,
08:08I can easily recommend it if you're looking for a good pro controller for either your, uh, PC or your
08:15Xbox. The, um, Switch 2 pro controller, it does feel like it's overpriced. Um, I don't understand why
08:23it is so much. So, yeah. It was 85 bucks, now it's like 90. So, yeah. And again, it's only 90
08:30because of the tariffs, but that's still a little bit much. I think, like, controllers being at like
08:3560, 65 bucks was fine a little bit much, but at least I could understand it. But not, not 85 to 90.
08:43I really don't understand that. But, yeah. So, yeah. So, that's basically it. So, links to the
08:50description of my share. Subscribe for once. And I'll see you guys in the next one.
