00:00All right, hey people, it's here, I'm here to do an unboxing interview for you guys today of the

00:11memorial edition Boon Boon Changer from Bakuage Sentai Boon Boon Jer, I believe I said that right,

00:20and the memorial edition Boon Boon Jer keys, I do not currently have the newest version of the

00:32Movirates because, well, there was a manufacturing error on those, for some reason there have been

00:41quite a few manufacturing errors on the last several things that they have produced for some

00:49reason, whether it's, do, or from a mix between the Go-Kaiger stuff and even one of the Kuryuger

00:58things, um, so yeah, on that, where the sticker on this is, this is facing the right way, but on the,

01:07um, one that has recordings for, um, how was it, uh, after Zenkaiger to, um,

01:19so, uh, Dawn Brothers, I believe, to, uh, Boon Boon Jer, um, and I think there's, I think there,

01:29there is actually one for, uh, Go-Ju-Ju in there, which is nice, um, the sticker is instead flipped

01:36upside down, um, no idea how that happened, no idea how they were able to do three different

01:44versions of the Movirates with the stickers right, that being the original release, the, um, which

01:51then that was used for the Bandai Asia release, the 2011, no, 2012, uh, version, which was a recolor,

02:00but the same mold, and the sticker was different, then the Memorial Edition release in 2021,

02:07um, which is this one, um, and whatever, no idea how they were able to do those and have them turn

02:17out fine, but then, um, the newest one, no idea how they just had the stickers upside down and

02:26whatever, but yeah, so they're fixing that, and I think they're gonna send out more to the people

02:33who ordered ones, so, as soon as the fixed production wave hits, like, either Tobolek

02:42Bulls or Big Bad Twister or whatever, I will order one of those and do a new review for that,

02:47um, and I will then unlock the sound for the Boon Boon Jer Keys, but yeah, so, yeah, and because,

02:54uh, I didn't want to wait to have to do a review of the Boon Boon Jer Keys, I'm just gonna do those

02:58now, and then, like I said, I will do a separate review of the new, I think it's the best

03:03selection of pirates and how the sounds come out during that, so, yeah, um, and since we have

03:12the Boon Boon Changer, anyways, I figured that that would be completely fine, so on the front here

03:17it says Memorial Edition, should say probably Boon Boon Jer on here, I can't read Japanese, but yeah,

03:22we do have this in English, everything is just like all the other, uh, Memorial Edition packaging

03:29things, so, yeah, so you open it up, you get a box wrapped in tissue paper, um, for the

03:41changer, which is really cool, so yeah, I've done a few different, uh, um, Memorial Edition

03:50changers over the last few years, so, yeah, so you have the picture there, I do have the original

03:57release, so we will compare it to that in a moment, but yeah, so on the front, you have

04:02it right there, which is really cool, Boon Boon Changer, Memorial Edition, Bandai, Bandai

04:08Namco, and the side right here with Boon Blue, the other side with Boon Pink on top, Boon Red,

04:18but it's just a bunch of legal information and whatnot, um, so, yeah, and in the back, you

04:24have what it comes with, which is what, which is the, uh, the van or whatever it is, I haven't,

04:31I've only seen the episode of the show with, uh, Joe from Gokai during it, so, yeah, um,

04:39but, yeah, so that activates sounds, and if you do have the other ones that plug into the original

04:45version of the changer, you can use those with this to get those sounds, so, yeah, and I think

04:52there's even extra sounds put into it in terms of the activation sounds, so, yeah,

05:01um, so I just have to open that, because there's a, there's a piece of tape keeping it closed,

05:10there we go, um, so I think, this is something about a thousand yen, so I don't know what that

05:21is, but, yeah, um, okay, so that is upside down, here we go, so, yeah, so after we get that

05:46off, there we go, all these things, you got the brace, the wrist strap,

05:56all in plastic bags, I forgot to get the wrist strap for the original version of the changer out

06:21before I started recording this, I'll get it in a second, but, yeah, this is much longer than the

06:27original, uh, wrist strap, because the original wrist strap was made for children, and I didn't

06:34expect anyone older than probably the age of, like, 12 or so to get this, so we have the, uh, brace,

06:46which, um, from what I can tell, most of the molding for this has been unchanged, they just changed

06:55some things on the changer itself, like a lot of other memorial edition stuff, where they add buttons

07:02and whatever, and cover up screw holes, so here we go, I'm assuming...

07:09Okay, so let's turn it off, because, uh, the batteries in this are actually watch batteries,

07:20so you don't have to put any in, because it comes with them, which is cool, so, yeah,

07:28so, yeah, you got a couple buttons right there, one's for background music, the other is for voice lines,

07:33so, yeah, and there's a bunch of different things that you have to do to get the various voice lines,

07:39so, yeah, and I had to watch a review video from Japan several times, uh, because they have stuff,

07:53they have, like, text that they translated to English on the bottom, which is nice,

07:56um, and, yeah, uh, just to get everything down, for the most part, what you need to do to get a bunch

08:06of the sounds, because it's a little stupid, but, yeah, and here we go with this thing, um,

08:16um, so, yeah, it has this little thing that you hook up onto the bottom to unlock sounds, um,

08:26all right, I had to pause the recording, because I needed to find this, which is the original

08:50wrist strap, I think it's a little, it might be a little color faded, I'm not sure, because I'm

08:56assuming it's supposed to be black, but it looks more brown, um, at least to me, I don't know if

09:00it's showing up on camera, but, yeah, so, see that color difference, so, yeah, this is just a straight

09:08up black, but, yeah, the, this half is mostly the same, it's just a little bigger, whereas this is

09:16longer, and a little bigger as well, so, the original, well, Toca Electables was selling basically just a

09:24piece of velcro, um, for, like, 15 bucks, which, way too overpriced, but, yeah, the, for a velcro wrist

09:36strap, for you to wear, if you're an adult and you wanted one of these, so, yeah, which is fine,

09:47I think it, I think it actually kind of works better, in some ways, because, um, you know, um,

09:55hmm, because, uh, yeah, it just, it just works better,

10:05oh, there we go, it just works because, like, it's a bit more comfortable of a fit, but, yeah,

10:15so, uh, in terms of the changer itself, let's just take a quick look, so, in terms of the molding,

10:27I don't think much is different, in terms of this, the base thing is, uh, roughly the same,

10:32this feels a little heavier, I think they put, they probably put, like, a bigger sound chip in it,

10:37maybe a few other things as well, uh, I know that they put some more lights in it, and you can actually

10:42kind of see it, this is just a sticker in here, whereas this is more of a molded piece and

10:48everything, this might be a little bigger, but I'm entirely certain, eyeing it, like, I could tell

10:55that the original, or that the Memorial of Irits was a little bigger than the original one, so,

11:02yeah, um, because they needed to, I guess, more better adapt the mold to what they were putting in it,

11:10but this, I can't really tell if it's slightly bigger or not, if it is, then yeah, the, uh,

11:18the lettering and everything is gone from everything, all the screw holes are gone,

11:26this, uh, this looks like it has a different way to pull that out to replace the batteries,

11:32this is a bit different, this doesn't have the clear plastic, it's just black plastic,

11:39so, yeah, the, uh, even this thing has black plastic instead of clear, and silver instead of clear,

11:50so, yeah, you can see the two buttons were just put in there, and, yeah, this has a blacker plastic

11:57than this, as well, granted, this is new, so maybe that's also why, but, yeah, basically,

12:05what you'd expect out of a, um, a Memorial Edition version of this, so, let's hear the sound

12:13difference, this is the original, oh, yeah, I think the, I think the LED on the top is different,

12:20too, yeah, and also this lights up where this doesn't, and I think this might have a better

12:38sound chip, in some ways, um, this is quieter, but also louder, whereas this just has a, whatever

12:46sound chip it has in it, um, which, this isn't bad, this is just better in terms of sound quality,

12:53I think, but, yeah, so, yeah, let's compare these, the thing, I think, yeah, this looks exactly the

13:02same, so, they did not really change anything, this has just a blacker plastic, like I said,

13:10though, um, it probably is just the fact that it's newer, um, versus, uh, the original, which I've had

13:23for around a year, can't remember when I got it, but sometime late last year, I want to say, yeah, and

13:33that is roughly the same, so, yeah, just a more black plastic for the original, or for the newer one,

13:49all around, so, yeah, and just to show you guys, in terms of the wrist strap, um,

14:01I can't even, I have very thin wrists, but I can't really even get that all around my wrist,

14:14um, just because of how, um, how thin that one is, um, not thin, small, whatever, whereas this,

14:31yeah, yeah, longer wrist strap, so, I can be able to, put it on my wrist, which is nice,

14:51you know, so, yeah, so, yeah, there are a bunch of things that are kind of unintuitive about this,

15:07but, yeah, so, right up here, you use the switch right here to choose the character you want,

15:16or if you want what's in the bass one, which is just no voices, but the sound effects,

15:33then you spin this to, um, confirm. Down here, uh, this button, I believe, is for background music,

29:09But next up, the thing that I'm pretty sure a lot of people watching this video were probably

29:13waiting for, the Memorial Boom Boom Selection, Baku Akei Sentai Boom Bunger Memorial Ranger

29:23Keys.

29:24So yeah.

29:26Instead of doing five teams a year that end in the number of the current team, I chose

29:33to just do one team.

29:35And I'm assuming that's because of the QC issues that were on some of the keys that people complained

29:41about last year.

29:42And I did complain about some of them.

29:45I think some of them were overblown.

29:47But considering that it was on the Die Ranger keys, people were expecting the hinges to be the

29:55colors, I think, or maybe they're supposed to be white, but no versions of those keys have

30:01ever had that.

30:02Only the ones in the show did.

30:05The renders did, but no versions of the actual, like, physical keys for the toys have ever had

30:13that.

30:14I think outside of the Gashapon versions, where you had to put on the legs.

30:20So, yeah.

30:23But the King Oger keys definitely had QC problems.

30:29I think the Kiryuger keys might have as well at times.

30:34But yeah.

30:35To the point where they had to send out replacement King Oger keys, unfortunately I could not get

30:41replacement King Oger keys because I would have to have sent back the ones that I had for

30:46some reason to collectibles for them to be able to order me some.

30:54I was okay with paying for shipping, but why did I have to, I don't know, why did I have to send back

31:00the keys that I bought and I should have been able, I don't know, it's really stupid.

31:06So is, or so goes being an international buyer of these things.

31:13But yeah.

31:14But this is really, really cool.

31:16Bandai Namco, Bandai, Memorial Boom Boom Selection, the Boom Boom Jer logo.

31:22Side right here, with that in Japanese and English.

31:25The tire on the front, or on the top and bottom.

31:28This side just has the same thing.

31:29And on the back you have a bigger, or a different angle of Boom Boom Red.

31:34The key right here, with the hinge thing.

31:37So yeah, you know, tells me about using it in the Memorial of Pirates.

31:42There's a QR code for I think instructions, but I don't really need that.

31:46I think this is saying like, intended for people 15 and up or something like that.

31:50But considering it has 15, well that says 14, so I don't know.

31:54But yeah.

31:56For some reason this is upside down.

31:59But here we go, with the Boom Boom Jer keys.

32:04They basically advertise these in the show.

32:08When they had Joe from GoKaijer show up, like I mentioned at the beginning of this.

32:14When I was talking about these keys, and he took the changer for Blue, because Blue had

32:20temporarily resigned from being a Boom Boom Jer because of the fact that he was part of

32:25I think either the police force or an organization, something like that.

32:29In the show, and they forced him to resign and be part of them.

32:35So, yeah.

32:37So, he transformed it into, which is something we've never really seen any of the GoKaijers do.

32:43Only, like I think the original owners of the Powers.

32:46But he transformed it into the Boon Blue key, and used it to fight alongside the other Boon Boongers

32:54in his usual style for a second, which was really cool.

32:57So, yeah.

32:59But, let's take a look at these keys.

33:01So, we got Boon Red here.

33:05And that is very nice.

33:09I do like that.

33:10I do like that they captured that he would have the changer on his left hand and everything.

33:19They got the texture on the tire just right with a bunch of divots there, which is really cool.

33:26And I like the way that it looks.

33:28It just looks really, really cool.

33:30I love Ranger Keys.

33:32Again, I'm sad that they didn't do the other Ranger Keys that end in 8, like I was expecting them to do.

33:40But, yeah.

33:42So, yeah.

33:44The arm's a little loose.

33:46I don't know what's going on there.

33:50But, yeah.

33:51So, then you have the side button right there to flip it up.

33:56I'm just going to show you what happens in the 2021 Mobirates.

34:00But, yeah.

34:09Because this was made several years ago, it does not have the key carving for the Boon Boonju keys programmed into it.

34:20Just like every other team key that came after Zenkaiger.

34:25So, yeah.

34:26Again, as soon as they, as soon as one of the secondhand sellers over here gets the fixed version of the Mobirates from this year, I will order that and do a new video on it.

34:50Okay, his arms feel better in terms of not being as loose.

34:56But, I like this.

34:59It looks really cool.

35:01They got everything just right.

35:03I do like that their helmets are different kinds of hubcaps.

35:07Unlike sports cars.

35:10And we get orange.

35:13Which, first team, I believe, in Sentai history to have orange as a main team member color.

35:21Which I really like.

35:25So, yeah.

35:29No QC problems with this as well.

35:31That's probably also why they did it, so they didn't have to worry about so many QC problems.

35:34Then we have Violet.

35:36I do like his suit.

35:41It's like a track suit for when there's a race and it's a pit crew for a driver in a, for a racing car kind of thing.

35:53And that is pretty cool.

35:55And he has the Boom Boom written on his outfit.

36:01But...

36:02So, yeah.

36:05So, we have pink.

36:12And this is just really good.

36:14I do love these keys.

36:17And the fact that we got all six is really nice.

36:19I didn't expect any less.

36:21Granted, though.

36:22The two of your keys, they're missing out on about...

36:25Or they missed a few of them.

36:27Actually, I think they got all of the main ones.

36:29It's just...

36:30They're missing out on, like, I think three.

36:32So...

36:34In that set.

36:40And I do like that they gave him gold trim.

36:42They even gave him gold trim on the key visor.

37:15Definitely, if you want to get the Boom Boom Changer, I can recommend it.

37:20It's a good upgrade over the original.

37:22Not too much different in terms of the molding or anything.

37:24It's a little heavier, like I said.

37:26They changed, uh...

37:28Or they added more so buttons.

37:30They covered up the screw holes.

37:31They changed some of the plastic.

37:33They added sounds and everything.

37:36So...

37:37Yeah.

37:38If you don't have any of the little car things like this from the toy line, they will work in that because they were programmed with sounds for them and extra sounds at that.

37:49So, yeah.

37:50Not sure what Champion Mode does.

37:51I'm assuming it's for, like, their, um...

37:56Their upgrade form.

37:57But, yeah.

37:59Again, have not watched all of, uh, Boom Boonger.

38:11Most of the time, it's very good.

38:19When it comes to these Ranger keys, I will do a review of the newest Small Pirates so I can, uh, get the sounds and everything for, uh, the last five teams that were released after Zenkaiger.
