00:08So you've written with Jessie Jo Dillon before,
00:11and what is that like, and what did you learn about songwriting?
00:14My God, every time I write with her, I learn something new.
00:17But I think Jessie's strong suit is she's always listening to the artist
00:20and knows how to say what they're trying to say,
00:24if they don't know how to say it sometimes.
00:26You're right. That's what makes it true. They're almost like a therapist.
00:28Totally. She's definitely my therapist.
00:30Yeah, for sure.
00:32So your debut album, Cherry Valley, comes out in October.
00:36Congratulations.
00:37Are you so excited?
00:38I'm so excited. It feels surreal, honestly.
00:41And what does this album say about you?
00:43Oh, gosh. I think it says that I have a lot of different sides to me,
00:47a lot of emotions, a lot of influences.
00:49But, yeah, I'm so excited.
00:51Okay, well, I love that. I think that's really exciting to show.
00:54That's brave to show the different sides of yourself.
00:57Yeah, it's vulnerable.
00:58It is. It can be scary.
01:00Very scary, but it is what it is.
01:02And also, another congrats, you just released a video, I believe, today?
01:06Yes.
01:06Right? A music video? Okay.
01:08And it had Billy Bob Thornton in it because you love him.
01:10Yes, I do.
01:11Okay, how was that working with somebody like Billy Bob Thornton
01:14that you're a fan of on a set?
01:16It was so crazy.
01:18He's such a great guy, obviously such an amazing actor.
01:21And now we've written some songs together.
01:24He's an amazing songwriter, too.
01:25So it was just awesome.
01:26Yeah.
