00:01The planning application that was put in by developers to demolish the majority of the listed buildings at Hildon Mill here behind me has been rejected by our planning department. This comes as no surprise, it was highly predicted.
00:15So when we return from our summer recess here in a couple of weeks, I intend to redouble my efforts at this very important site.
00:23We must build on the motion that I passed in recent months, unanimously at the council, that compelled responsibility, heads and voices around the table, and that we get serious, that we get real, and that we see delivery for the local community, which I'm proud to be a part of, and which we have waited far too long to see this sorted out.
00:46The history and the heritage is enormous here, we need a development that respects that, and that looks to the future and sees delivery for all in our local community of Hildon Mill Road.
