Education Library Management System (ELMS) launch event at Killicomaine Junior High School, Portadown

00:29for school libraries began at Kilokamane Junior High School with the Education Authority
00:33launching ELMS, the Education Library Management Solution, an innovative system designed to
00:39enhance school libraries and inspire a new generation of readers. Delivered through our
00:44EDIS programme and developed in partnership with global technology leaders Softlink, ELMS
00:49will bring cutting-edge tools to all schools across Northern Ireland, including statutory
00:54nurseries, special schools and EOTIS centres. Opened by Principal Jane Murphy, the launch
01:00event featured a demonstration of the new system from Softlink's Barney Jenkins, along with
01:05contributions from EDIS Director Francis Meehan, EA Assistant Director Seamus Bradley and UK
01:11Patron of Reading Geoffrey White, who emphasised the lifelong positive impact libraries can
01:16have on young minds. With advanced reporting, seamless integration and a vision to improve
01:22and connect the school library network, ELMS is set to empower and support school library
01:27staff and the EA's Education Library service, as well as reinvigorating how students access
01:32books and digital resources, promoting lifelong reading and learning for all.
