00:00Flu is much more serious than you think. For some patients and they're required to be admitted into
00:09hospital and for some patients actually go to intensive care. Some people die with the flu.
00:13It floored me for a couple of weeks and if you're unsure if you've had the flu then you probably
00:17haven't because if you have it you certainly know you have it so it's really important to be
00:21vaccinated and for yourself as a staff member as a nurse I'm a nurse just been vaccinated so I'd be
00:28encouraging everyone please come get your vaccine and the team are here they're out and about they're
00:34across sites both in hospitals and in community we'll come out and see your teams it's for you
00:39it's for your family and it's also for the people we care for. Well I think it's really important to
00:43protect myself and also to protect my colleagues and protect my family. Flu is a really serious
00:49problem and we want to ensure that as many people and as many staff as possible take up the opportunity
00:55to take their vaccine and because it is so important to protect themselves especially if you're out and
00:59about in the community you're going into families homes especially social workers where I work and
01:04so going into families homes meeting with children meeting with families it's really critical
01:08to ensure that you're protected and that you're able to protect others. Get your job done.
