00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday morning where I can promise
00:05you a little more sunshine in the mix but still a cool breeze coming down the eastern
00:09side and a bit of a cool start across Scotland. Here's your bigger picture, this is the cold
00:14front which will deliver more clouds across southern areas through the first part of the
00:18day. High pressure though building from the south so a settled day for most, mostly dry
00:23as well with some sunnier breaks coming through but notice cooler air just lurking towards
00:28the North Sea and that's a reason why it will feel a little fresh along the eastern side
00:32through Wednesday as well as Thursday. But elsewhere, yes we are chasing clouds a little bit through
00:38the latter part of the week but there will be some sunshine around and in fact that's the
00:42case through this morning. Brighter skies across many areas, still that strong wind for Shetland,
00:47Aberdeenshire borders down across that east coast. The cloud will break across Northern
00:52Ireland as well with some sunshine and brighter breaks just emerging across the northwest of
00:58England. Now we're seeing more clouds across central and southern parts of England and Wales
01:03even with the odd spot or two of rain. This is that cold front which will gradually sink southwards
01:09as the cloud erodes on its northern edge through the morning. So it's an improving picture for the
01:15skies across many areas. Blue sky coming through as we head through the morning into the afternoon
01:20as that cloud slowly breaks up. So a fine afternoon for many but notice the strength of the wind along this
01:27eastern side here as well as the far north east of Scotland. Inland though a lighter breeze helping
01:33temperatures up to 19 or 20 across Scotland and Northern Ireland, 22 to 24 across England and Wales.
01:39Probably the mid to high teens along this eastern side. So that's the picture through this afternoon.
01:46Through this evening pleasant for many. Again some late sunshine to end the day. Still a little cloud
01:51coming and going across much of central and eastern areas of England as well as the north east of Scotland.
01:57Clearer skies inland and that means a colder night. In fact through the early hours of the morning in rural
02:03spots we'll see temperatures dip down to mid single figures. A bit of a chilly start to the day come
02:08Thursday morning. But yes again it'll be a mix of that sunshine and the cloud. The cloud could be a bit
02:13stubborn in places southern Scotland and the far north of England but breaking up as we head through the
02:18morning into the afternoon across many areas. So yes again that mix just continuing through Thursday
02:25as temperatures arrive around 21 in the north, 21 to 23 further south and the wind yet again will be a
02:32feature of the weather across the eastern side of England and the north east of Scotland. Into Friday
02:38things will be slightly different. We'll see more cloud arrive across northern and western areas
02:44and with that the chance of one or two showery bursts never really amounting to very much
02:49in shelter towards the south. Some sunny breaks coming through and there could be some sunshine
02:53further north as well. I'll see you later. Have a lovely day.
