00:00And now for the Fastest Horse of the Week, brought to you this week by Life is Good, one of those fast sires at Windstar Farm.
00:07Life is Good is into mischief's fastest son to date as a racehorse.
00:13Life is Good ran nine triple-digit buyer speed figures, including a 112.
00:18As a stallion now, with his first crop of yearlings now hitting the auction rings,
00:22Life is Good, if you recall, had that pair of $550,000 yearlings at Saratoga we told you about last week.
00:29And shortly after we taped that podcast, Life is Good had a yearling filly.
00:34A half-sister to Preakness winner seized the gray that sold at Saratoga Tuesday night for $1,025,000 to Mike Rapoli.
00:44Life is Good, of course, was raced by Windstar and now stands at Windstar Farm.
00:49Now the Fastest Horse of the Week comes out of the Sword Dancer on Saturday at Saratoga, a mile and a half.
00:57We'll be talking about that race a little later in the podcast.
00:59The winner was El Cordovas, making his first start in the United States, owned by Goodolphin, trained by Charlie Appleby.
01:06Appleby said El Cordovas handled the travel, he handled the firm turf, he handled the tempo of the race, he handled the sharp returns.
01:14And as a result, El Cordovas' last surge earned a buyer speed figure of 1.04,
01:20which ranks pretty favorably with the top buyers of the year so far in the long-distance turf category.
01:26And it makes El Cordovas our Fastest Horse of the Week.
