The Fastest Horse of the Week ran at Monmouth on Haskell Day, but it wasn't Haskell winner, Baby Vino. Instead, the honors went to Knightsbridge with a 122 Beyer in the Monmouth Cup. That was the fastest Beyer since the 2022 Pacific Classic, won by Flightline. Fast, indeed!

00:00The Fastest Horse of the Week brought to you by the Fast Sires at Windstar Farm, including Life is Good,
00:08and Life is Really, Really Good for this brand new stallion at Windstar.
00:12Thanks to a lot of horses who are now just being unveiled his first two-year-old, such as the
00:17Good Life, who was a very impressive winner of his debut at Saratoga to give Life is Good now his
00:22third TDN Rising Star.
00:24He's had six winners already from his first crop. Three of those have been Rising Stars.
00:30Life is Good himself, obviously extremely fast, four-time grade one winner with a 112 buyer.
00:35Based on the buyers, he's into Mischief's Fastest Horse at Stud. Life is Good stands at Windstar for a fee
00:41of $60,000.
00:44Fastest Horse of the Week, no drumroll needed here. We've already talked about it.
00:48Obviously, it's Knightsbridge with his 122 buyer in the Monmouth Cup.
00:53We've said pretty much all there is to say about Knightsbridge, but I can tell you a little bit just
00:58from a buyer perspective.
01:00His 122 was the fastest buyer speed figure since Flightline's 19-length win in the 2022 Pacific Classic, in which
01:09he got a buyer speed figure of 126.
01:12And if you want to really wow your friends with a very hard-to-come-by trivia question, okay, here's
01:18one for you.
01:20Beyond Flightline, who was the previous horse before Flightline that ran a buyer of at least a 122?
01:27That one you're going to have to think about.
01:29And the answer came in the four-go stakes at Saratoga, won by Midnight Loot in 2007.
01:39Midnight Loot racked up a buyer speed figure in that race of 124, his second 120-plus buyer speed figure
01:48of his career.
01:50Two-time Breeders' Cup Sprint winner.
01:51So there you go, Fastest Horse of the Week, Knightsbridge at 122, and a little history to go with it.
