00:00The Fastest Horse of the Week, brought to you as always by the Fast Sires at Windstar Farm.
00:04Ever heard the term Nashville hot?
00:06That's some pretty darn good chicken.
00:09But in this case, it also applies to the Windstar sire, Nashville,
00:13whose first two-year-olds were definitely spicy at the March OBS sale last week.
00:18For example, how about an eighth in 9.4 seconds?
00:22That would be hip 71, a filly who topped the first session at $550,000 going to William Werner.
00:30Hip 671, a Colt, brought to $525,000 from Vinnie Viola's St. Elias stable.
00:37Other Nashville two-year-olds at the sale went for $335,000, $275,000, $260,000, $210,000.
00:44You get the message.
00:46Nashville is hot, and you can breed to him this spring for a fee of just $12,500.
00:53Nashville holds Keeneland's six furlong track record, 107.89.
00:57Our fastest horse of the week just broke the fairgrounds track record.
01:01You may remember the Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners Colt, Built,
01:05as being on the Kentucky Derby Prep Trail at the fairgrounds last year for trainer Wayne Catalano
01:10until those pesky distance limitations got in his way.
01:14Well, Built is back as a four-year-old one-turn specialist.
01:18Last Friday, the fairgrounds managed to fill a non-winners-of-three-other-than allowance,
01:24and he did the rest, running six furlongs in 107.96, the first-ever sub-108 clocking at fairgrounds.
01:34The track was very fast, but that still gave Built a buyer's speed figure of 106,
01:40making him easily the fastest horse of the week.
01:43Built may not be as good as Bookum Dan-O, there you go, Bill,
01:46or Ben Tornado or Imagination, but that 106 at least puts him on the radar
01:52as being potentially among the best sprinters in the country.
