00:51The fastest horse of the week comes to us from Fat Tuesday in New Orleans.
00:56On Tuesday, the 17th at the fairgrounds, the Mardi Gras Stakes, five-and-a-half furlong turf sprint for fillies

01:02won by a future star, maybe a current star.
01:05Her name is Shining Star.
01:06She's bred in Chile, owned and bred by the Samaya U.S. Stable.
01:10She began her career in Chile, ran one race on dirt in California, was sent back east to trainer Brad

01:16He moved her to grass.
01:17And since then, she is a perfect three-for-three.
01:20The Mardi Gras was her very first stakes start.
01:22She won drawing away by four-and-a-quarter lengths in Shining Star.
01:26Got a buyer speed figure of 103, her career best, and it makes her the fastest horse of the week.
