00:00The fastest horse of the week brought to you by the fast sires at Windstar Farm like Nashville.
00:05He's not only obviously fast, he's got the Keeneland six furlong track record after all, 107.89.
00:13But he's apparently pretty smart as well.
00:16There will be 30 of Nashville's first two-year-olds that will be at the OBS Mart sale in a
00:21few weeks.
00:21And already consignors like April Mayberry are giving them rave reviews.
00:25She credits them with an exceptional ability to learn, and she thinks their intelligence will transfer over to race results.
00:34We don't talk about intelligence very much on this podcast, probably because we're not very smart.
00:38But apparently, Nashville is very smart, and he stands at Windstar for a fee of $12,500.
00:45Now, the fastest horse of the week.
00:48Ran at Gulfstream Park on Saturday in a one-mile allowance race.
00:52It was his comeback.
00:54His name is Grande.
00:55He was the four-year-old who was second last year in the Wood Memorial and then was a scratch
01:00the day before the Kentucky Derby with a foot problem.
01:03Grande was making his comeback in that race at Gulfstream and won with a buyer's speed figure of 1.05
01:09after a battle pretty much from start to finish with a horse named Prater from the Chad Brown Barn,
01:16who was also coming off a long layoff.
01:19Prater hadn't run since finishing third in the Lexington Stakes.
01:23So these two four-year-olds hooked up in a very fast race.
01:27Grande with a buyer of 1.05.
01:29Prater with a buyer of 1.03.
01:31They are horses to watch in the handicapped division, the older male division.
01:36And Grande getting the slight edge as our fastest horse of the week, owned by Mike Rapoli, trained by Todd
01:42Buncher.
01:44Prater with a boy with a married, for a one- מג herzlich and a male division.
