00:57Cuba and the world celebrate the legacy of the historic revolution leader Fidel Castro
01:14on his 99th birth anniversary. Fidel was born on August 13, 1926 in Iran in the province of
01:22Olguín, which today holds the main commemorative acts in his honor. From there, authorities
01:28from the Cuban Communist Party highlighted the revolutionary leader's struggle against the
01:34imperialist interest of the United States on the island. Tributes to the revolutionary
01:39strategist are also expected across the world as he became a symbol of global resistance,
01:45whose political and ideological legacy continues to guide Cuba's defense of sovereignty and
01:51independence.
01:58And in this context, the photographic exhibition All the Glory of the World by Alex Castro Soto
02:04del Valle was inaugurated at the José Martí Memorial in Havana. Our correspondent Fabiola
02:10Lopez with more.
02:10There are 50 photographs that, according to experts, transcend the documentary to become
02:19visual poetry. These are images that move many people. His son, a photographer, captured them
02:24in the privacy of their homes. This show Fidel doing what he loved most at the end of his
02:27life, researching, reading, talking with young people, and sharing his knowledge. Alex wants
02:32people to see not only the work of the leader as a statesman, but also the man who wanted to
02:36transform the world. He never stopped working, never stopped researching, never stopped teaching,
02:47and never stopped enjoying that time with people, sharing his experiences. He did this
02:51practically until the last days of his life. All the glory of the world shows a Fidel free
03:03of artifices, without poses. He converses, reflects, thinks. The boundaries between the epic and
03:08the everyday are erased.
03:13This also shows us that very important side of the commander, which connects with all audiences,
03:18which is his humanity.
03:23The extraordinary human being that the commander always was, in that relationship, is that friendship
03:27with world leaders and personalities, also with that connection with the people.
03:34And it is that uninhibited Fidel of those moments that Alex, also managed to capture,
03:39as the great artist that he is, and I believe that it is an exhibition that everyone will enjoy.
03:42A bridge between public history and personal experience. Alex's photographs show Fidel in
03:52dialogue with the past, present, and future. Perhaps that is why this six-year-old boy,
03:57also named Fidel, did not want to miss the opening.
04:01My name is Fidel Antonio Guzman Carrillo, and today is my birthday, so I came to see the photo of
04:09Fidel Castro-Ruz. And the photo I like the most, is the one of Fidel with a child.
04:20These are images where gestures speak louder than words. Through his lens, Alex shows the
04:27leader and the authentic human being experiencing moments of solemnity, introspection, and even
04:31fragility.
04:31The best tribute, is to read Fidel, to return to him. He was a head of everything in every field,
04:42he left us an exceptional legacy. It is up to us to decide whether that legacy will become
04:47something for museums or another mystery that accompanies us.
04:49Lezama said that Mart is a mystery that accompanies us. I could paraphrase Lezama and say that Fidel is
05:02another mystery that will always accompany us, and this exhibition helps to do that.
05:05It invites you to reflect, it calls for a moment of spiritual concentration, of spiritual dialogue
05:17with that extraordinary man who continues to be with us.

05:30lies in what is authentic, human, and uncompromisingly honest, a bridge between myth and man.
05:38And Venezuela joins the international celebrations on the anniversary of the historic leader
05:45of the Cuban Revolution. Through an official statement, the Venezuelan government highlighted
05:49the legacy of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro, stating that he forged a legacy that unites generations
05:56in the struggle against domination and for a more just world, adding that the Bolivarian people
06:02remember with special affection the Fidel who found in Eternal Commander Hugo Chavez a brother
06:08in cause with whom he made possible the materialization of Latin American and Caribbean solidarity
06:14integration. The statement of the Bolivarian government closes by stressing that Venezuela

07:01invasion. The diplomacy of the Asian country ratified its support for the Caribbean island in the face of

07:53Nicolás Maduro, announced the beginning of a crusade against disinformation in view of the
07:58discrediting campaigns against the country undertaken by sectors linked to imperialism. During the act of
08:04strengthening the peace quadrant's plan, the Venezuelan president warned the disinformation seeks to
08:09manipulate the public opinion. In this context, the president defended the country's progress in the

09:41in order to defend their countries from U.S. threats. The Colombian President requested the meeting in light of the possibility
09:48that the United States might deploy troops to Latin America under the pretext of combating criminal groups.
09:55Petro also emphasized that, as president of Colombia, he has been fighting drug trafficking relentlessly,
10:02even though he does not agree with the methods implemented by the U.S. government.
