00:00the rest of the cars just moving into place now as we get all set for the second touring car race
00:12of the day from brands hatch it's rob collard versus luke hines on the front row with dan eaves
00:18and sean watson smith on the second then colin turkington out to try and make up for a slightly
00:22disappointing race one which he started from pole he's got ivan muller alongside him then it's james
00:27thompson and tom chelton and then we've got rob huff in the set all alone on row five where matt
00:32neal should be with him green flag from the back this could be a real topsy-turvy race coming up
00:39here as we get all set to go the red lights come on as they go off who's going to make the best start
00:44oh and dan eaves is stationary on the grid luke hines gets away dan eaves is missed by everybody
00:49and luke hines makes a superb start from the outside of the front row and he's got away from colin who
00:56now is trying to hold off second place he's trying to keep off one of the i think it's thompson
01:00as they head up towards the hairpin it's thompson trying to go around the outside of collard and
01:05turkington on the inside great start by luke hines he got away perfectly just got the traction now he's
01:10got a clear track there's a great opportunity in this race to have a brand new british touring car
01:15winner with depleted grid reverse top 10 who's going to win this race it's going to be fascinating
01:20well thompson will be determined to get past collard as quickly as possible but collard will hold on
01:25he's an experienced racer he will not let anybody through easily whether it's a works car or not he's
01:30out for his own glory here and it's not going to be easy for thompson meanwhile further back you can see
01:35that thompson didn't make a brilliant getaway he's down in eighth place and now under pressure from charlie
01:41butler henderson butler henderson on the inside as they head up towards batter gilbert still side by
01:45side and charlie butler henderson is he going to have it chilton's trying to go stay with him and
01:49the outside a little bit of contact paul wallace trying to come up through as well and if he's not
01:53careful chilton's going to lose another place yes he has yeah and right behind him there's that man
01:58anthony reed we know how aggressive he can be in traffic remember he started right at the back so
02:03reading's made a fantastic first lap yes he had fastest lap in the last race looks like they've cured that
02:08that misfire that they had in that first race they've changed the loop they've changed all sorts
02:13of bits and pieces on the engine to try and cure it collards in second place thompson in third
02:17turkington in the mg in fourth place we're on board now with rob huff he's running in seventh place he's
02:24got ivan muller immediately ahead and a lot more weight on board this say it than in the first race one but
02:29luke hines is just getting away great drive this from the youngster so far and sean martensmith goes down the
02:35inside of turkington good move that but can he hold it tight enough to hold on the place turkington
02:40will come back on the inside classic brand's hatch racing and turkington now the inside what's
02:45it's trying to muscle him but no turkey does not having it squeezes him out wide and that's great
02:50stuff well that was brilliant uh sean watson smith showing that he really does he may not know brand's
02:56hatch but he's certainly learning the lines quickly it's a really difficult maneuver to pull off that dive up
03:00the inside unfortunately he's ended up losing a place to muller as well who's now past turkington
03:05and if sean watson smith doesn't get across the inside he's going to lose one to robert huff as well
03:10he's got to get back inside which he's done now dan eaves who was left stranded on the
03:14on the grid did get the engine fired up and did get out although obviously he's running back in 16th place
03:20oh team dynamics what a miserable second race this is for them as thompson continues to attack for second
03:26place from rob collard remember collard it is a voxel astra but it's a car that's several years old
03:32now he's running on a restricted budget he's not able to throw lots of money at it and keep all new
03:36parts on it he's had a few problems this weekend mechanical problems things just letting go on him
03:41but at the moment he's running in a good second place behind him thompson then it's muller and
03:45turkey to make a mistake through graham ill benders behind them and you can see he's on the grass in the
03:49background turkey to making a mistake and he's lost a load of places including to teammate anthony reed well
03:54poor old colin turkington this was his dream circuit last year where he won his first touring
03:59car race he got pole for the first race but slipped back and now a disaster in race two so
04:05not a good weekend so far for um colin turkington but anthony reed still pushing along hard in the
04:10other mg tom chiltern really struggling in this race makes me wonder whether they've got a problem
04:15or whether it's just the added weight on the car but chiltern not going that quickly he's down in
04:19tenth place thompson here quick out of paddock let's just take another look at the start the orange car
04:24of danny's just stationary rob huff got away reasonably well you can see muller just ahead
04:28thompson made a good getaway this is on board with thompson let's see what happened yeah great start
04:33from thompson he went straight to the outside uh with the bunching on the inside of the circuit into
04:38paddock and you can see it's paid off handsomely for him he's got all the way around the outside of
04:42sean watson smith and turkington that was a really good start by by tomo but he needs to get past collard if
04:49he's to have any chance to put some pressure on he's got a good run here got a good run here and
04:53uh this is a works engine against the privateer's engine he should have an opportunity into paddock
04:58let's see if if collard opens the door or not there's the opportunity oh very late on the brakes
05:05but we're collard running wide collard running right they well held rob yeah well held he's an
05:11experienced racer as i said uh ex uh short oval racer as well hot rods and that sort of things
05:17when he started on better this time surely thompson but now collard's got the inside line for the left
05:21hander of grail ben and thompson can't do anything about that so he has to slot in behind and now he's
05:26going to run into all 30s this time thompson should be okay as hughes gets uh out into the gravel i think
05:32there was a collision with somebody there and thompson this time is through now he's into second
05:36place how quickly can he catch luke heinz who has a lead of well i think it's up to about a second and
05:42a half now as they come out of clearways well rob was under massive pressure there and you could see
05:47him running wide it was always going to happen as soon as he ran wide he was going to give tomo the
05:51opportunity and now the floodgates are open muller's down the inside and this is classic stuff the works
05:57cars bullying the privateers but uh muller and thompson forging their way to the front and they're
06:03taking sure what's and smith with them good driving sure get up the inside when the doors open and you
06:08can't lose he will he'll gain that place good yeah that's good stuff from the pros coming back though
06:13down the inside could be contact could be contact oh you're right tim there was contact but they both
06:20survived it onto the grass slightly but collard gets his place back impressive run though this from
06:25watson smith hit the proton he's certainly a racer he goes for every opportunity but now he's got to
06:29watch out because rob huff is immediately behind him and as that one didn't quite come off he's now
06:35got to attack collard once again and in fact watson smith set the fastest lap last time around so
06:41that's a very impressive run from the proton of behind him rob huff coming out a bit of pressure from
06:46reed anthony reed looking to make a move down the inside of the paddock didn't come off so reed is
06:52currently in seventh place behind him and then turkeyton well this is exactly what the new btcc rules
06:59were designed to provide some close side-by-side door handle to door handle racing this time we've
07:04got away with the second race reverse group without the carnage we had at thruxton and it's proving a
07:09great race and sean watson smiths up the inside as they get to sterling 13s he must have this
07:15to try and go around the dirty side of the track oh this i hope this doesn't let him tear on his
07:20tires now he's been on the outside the track sean watson smith cuts back rallycross style to the
07:25inside now he's got him yeah and look behind him because anthony reed uh is getting alongside with
07:30rob huff oh the body's come open the body's come open on rob collard's car and he hasn't lifted off
07:36he's still going down rob he's looking underneath the car here comes reed reed's having a go and
07:41sean watson smiths oh watson smiths off into the gravel of paddock he'll bend oh what a shame he's
07:46going so well reed got down the inside of him into paddock i don't know whether there was contact but
07:51he's lost that chance collard's still driving around with the bonnet up i don't know as he said he didn't
07:57lift off at all initially so what's happening up front well luke heinz still leads this race from james
08:02thompson but what action we're watching muller now in third place and uh let's take try and let's
08:07take another look at what happened there well we couldn't see whether there was any contact between
08:11reed and sean watson smith that's something we'll have to find out afterwards but what a shame to
08:16lose both rob uh collard with that bonnet oak believe me that's very frightening in car when that
08:21happens um but we've lost him and we've lost uh sean watson smith great shame here comes anthony reed on
08:27the attack once again with rob huff immediately ahead in the seat and three really charging now
08:33we've got a black and orange flag being shown to rob collard well there's no surprise there
08:37that's uh a warning and he's going to have to come into the pits and sort that bonnet out because the
08:42officials are not happy so let's take another look at the car there was contact yeah it was the old uh
08:52show the nose on the inside of the rear wheel and inevitably on the front wheel drive car that goes
08:57off and well sean watson smith did very well to hold that and get back on the track but we saw it
09:02detach the front bumper and that will have destroyed his race um and there he is getting repairs uh a lot
09:08of damage that gravel does when it catches the front lip of the spoiler and rips it underneath uh rob
09:13collard's been also is also in the pits is still receiving attention to that bonnet and trying to tape it
09:17down here comes reed here comes reed he's got the inside this time on huff and this time he's through
09:23unless he runs too wide huff comes back up the inside up towards the hairpin side by side seat versus
09:30mg reed trying to keep him in tight huff meanwhile trying to squeeze him out wide and here comes
09:35turkington now joining in the fun and games as reed has the inside line for graham hillbend
09:40robert huff is so impressive um really calm and cool in inside the car nice attitude outside
09:47he really deserves his place as the seat champion now in touring cars he looks like a good driver
09:53um and he's really showing the old master anthony reed that he's not prepared to just lay down and die
09:57no that was great fight back from uh rob huff so he holds on to fourth place for the moment
10:03and remember he's carrying maximum ballast in on board that seat so it's a pretty impressive
10:07performance it's a very impressive performance and uh just to remind you at the front we've got a
10:11vx racing one two three with heinz thompson and muller and interestingly heinz is keeping the gap
10:17they're all doing exactly the same lap time 50.4 so heinz maintaining a one and a half second lead
10:23over thompson yeah the voxelles are up there they were pretty happy after the first race they had just
10:28the results they needed not too much ballast the reasonably good grip positions for race two
10:33and now they've put themselves in ideal position for race three still the battle going on though
10:37here for fourth place huh then it's reed and then it's turkington and then tom chilton's still in
10:42that battle he's now up to seventh place with butler henderson up into eighth place james k
10:46running ninth and that's not a bad effort remember he had to join from the back so that's pretty good
10:50from him danny's still running despite stalling on the grid he's now in tenth place but there are the
10:56two voxelles of thompson and muller second and third and it's a battle for fourth we're keeping an eye on
11:00absolutely robert huff once again oh that's sean watson smith i i would suspect he's had gravel go
11:06through the uh the timing belts in the engine and and maybe it's caused a problem it certainly makes
11:11a hell of a mess under the car but uh robert huff still holding on to this fourth place but uh i sense
11:17there's a bit more to come in this in this battle but uh great driving by robert taking neat tiny lines
11:22i see thompson in second place has put his headlights on the old intimidation trick but i don't think that's
11:27going to work at the moment um we've got uh luke hines maintaining his lead and my won't here comes
11:33reed here comes reed he's up the inside into clearways rob hoff left the door open little bit of rubbing as
11:39they come out of clearways and reed now has the inside as they come up towards panick hillbent this
11:44time i'm not sure that robs is going to be able to fight back this time side by side as they come down
11:48the straight fast in a straight line that say but the brakes on the ng shouldn't be better as it
11:53built to british touring car race reed can break a bit later huff's trying to get back a little bit
11:58of contact there and he's still up on the inside what a dice this is between these two turkington
12:03trying to join in as well immediately behind and huff's back ahead again well what fantastic
12:09racing i'll tell you what that seance got some motor in it because as you say he's carrying maximum
12:13ballast and that will hinder it but that car was flying down the straight and he outboxed anthony
12:19reed with the old switchback of paddock judged it by millimeters fantastic stuff this what a great
12:25challenge as reed keeps the pressure on rob huff and turkeyton's right there tom chilton's joining
12:31the party as the voxels might be running away up front but what a battle for fourth place absolutely
12:37fantastic what a great sight to see a new young driver battling it out not giving up we saw this last
12:44year with paul o'neil sadly we've lost paul o'neil for the moment but what a replacement we've got
12:50with bullet huff he is fighting tooth and nail oh reed he's getting naughty he's gonna try everything
12:57every trick in the book is anthony reed and he knows a few i think he wrote the book probably because he
13:02knows just about everything there is to know especially here at france hatch a track that he used
13:06to race and formula ford used to keep his car in the pit garage here when he was racing his
13:11in his formula ford days and he knows this place like the back of his hand but rob huff is giving
13:16him nothing at the moment holding on to four yeah you can see just on the entry to the corners on the
13:21braking was where the uh the mg's are slightly quicker but they get onto the straight and the
13:26seat we can see can stretch his legs a little bit but uh anthony's got to be careful he's already in uh
13:32on a penalty notice really i think over the shore watson smith incident so he's got to be careful yeah
13:37absolutely i'm sure they'll have another look at that one later on sad to see sean watson smith out
13:43of this because he drove brilliantly as well and uh it's great to see another strong racer charger in
13:48the championship this year meanwhile up front let me tell you that look at the battle up front because
13:53luke hines has been caught by james thompson yeah we didn't well we didn't see why maybe uh luke made
13:58a mistake but james is now within attacking range he's all over the back of him well i can imagine luke's
14:04heartbeat will be at a million beats per minute at the moment and probably that of his uh mentor and
14:09sponsor um uh martin hines of zip karts fame he had a one of his drivers gary paddock win at dtm last
14:16we're gonna lock up into paddock but he'd love nothing better than see luke hines win this one
14:21his uh his son well i know as a father it really gets you so come on luke let's see if we can do it
14:27well as you say there was that was a slow lap from luke hines so he made a mistake somewhere
14:31he did a 51.8 second lap and he had been consistently lapping 50.3 50.4
14:37and thompson's taken advantage of that to close right up but is he going to take a gamble here
14:42of course this would give thompson an outside front row start for race two and it would keep
14:47muller of race three rather to keep muller back on the second row so that might suit him a little bit
14:51as we look back to rob huff still leading from reed and turkeyton in the battle for fourth position
14:57no change there at the moment chilton's still there charlie butler henderson not far off but
15:01henderson's going well in the privateer voxel astra as well learning the trade making up for
15:08missing the waybridge yesterday in qualifying and losing his best time as we look back towards
15:13our race leader luke hines versus james thompson
15:15still the battle ranging i think anthony reed's taking a few laps just to regroup
15:22he's found a real adversary here in robert huff and he's just uh taken a few laps back a breather on
15:28his tires and we can guarantee he'll be attacking again before the end of the race as is james thompson
15:33yeah luke hines just lost a little fraction of time through graham hillbairn
15:37muller seems quite relaxed to sit back in third place and just keep an eye on what's going on ahead
15:41of him as the three teammates remember all three of these guys driving for the works vx racing team
15:48and here they are running one two three with the youngster the new boy leading at the moment he knows
15:54this track well he was a southern formula ford champion a lot of the races in that southern series
15:58held here at franz hatch so he certainly knows the track well he knows how to defend in a single seater
16:03and it's much the same story when it comes to touring cars yeah they're driving hard they're
16:08using all of the road you can see on the exit of the paddock they're over the curb and nearly out
16:12in the gravel so they are pushing very very hard but so far luke's just managing to maintain a steady
16:18rhythm keep it neat and tidy you know one mistake and that's all it takes for the car to go past so
16:23he's maintaining a a steady steady rhythm 18 and a half laps have been completed completed out of 24
16:30thompson needs to find something a little extra special
16:36british touring car championship in association with seatt
16:39out of clearways it's still luke hines that leads so and uh barry caravan now in trouble
17:04so it looks like both protons have had a pretty nasty time in this second race of the day obviously
17:10being in contact there with somebody or something i think he's been through the beach that psp team
17:15are going to have more gravel in their garage than down on the beach and reed finally down the inside
17:19and turkington all right down the inside of huff so he's lost two places to the mgs on that lap
17:24that's a great shame because rob had defended so resolutely and so well but now he finds himself
17:31down two places very noisy car going past that's charlie butler henderson i'm afraid he's been
17:36having a great race but he's uh he's got a very sick sounding engine and he'll be lucky to make it all
17:40the way around also notice rear bumper flapping about and jason hughes his car so there's been all
17:45sorts of uh incident going on around of the last lap or two but luke hines is still our race leader
17:50there's butler henderson and that car sounding very very sick as it came past our commentary position
17:55and he's about coasting around in fact he may even look to be pulling off i'm not sure he's really
17:59going very slowly indeed of course all these drivers desperately get their cars back to the
18:04pit so they can have prepared for the next race so where normally you'd probably see them pull off they
18:08will try everything to get back to the pits and give their team as much time as possible to fix
18:13whatever's wrong but it looks like looks like charlie's pulling off in the back of the pits that's a
18:17sneaky maneuver um there we go he's pulled into the back of the pits along cooper straight
18:22uh hopefully they'll push it in from there but uh up front still hines holding that narrow lead
18:28over a james thompson yeah still holding on meanwhile rob huff has dropped further back and i think he may
18:33have a problem because he's been passed by james k now so i think there's some sort of mechanical
18:38problem with huff he's down to eighth place and he's about to lose that to dan eves
18:43up front still hines uh still thompson i wonder if thompson's going to make a
18:48a last minute lunch there's only three laps to go now so he's definitely running out of time
18:54once more muller's driven a canny race yeah moved up to third place to uh extend his points lead he's
19:00driving with one on the championship that's paul wallace so uh lots going on and lots of repairs
19:06for the uh team sure term team to sort out after this race uh another rear bumper that was jason hughes
19:12one falling off but let's concentrate on this battle for the lead has thompson got something left
19:16in his last few laps and will hines keep his cool yeah will he keep him cool will he make a mistake
19:20will he head for his first ever touring car victory in the main touring class he won a number of races
19:26last year in the production class as he became the production class champion but this is quite a
19:32different step hughes still going past harriman is still going despite the other damaged front end on
19:38that car he's probably too embarrassed to call in the pit lane i think he's uh he's going to finish the
19:43race if he can rather face the wrath of his team no it's not been a good time for them a number of
19:48teams today really have been up against it uh bentwood not out in this race as well he had damage
19:53earlier on after missing out and starting from a front row position with a starter motor that wouldn't
19:59operate and then he ended up involved in that accident on the start so i think that's wallace's
20:05bumper isn't it yeah that's definitely a an astra bumper but it looks like it's uh it looks like it's
20:10wide enough that it won't cause any problems um thompson just lost a little bit of ground on that
20:15lap he's not really ever got right on the bumper has he of uh of heinz and heinz has driven impeccably
20:21hasn't made a mistake uh shades of mr plato in the second race at thruxton under pressure not making
20:26mistakes so so far so good for luke heinz indeed he's only got so one more lap to go i think this time as
20:33he comes across the line 23 laps completed luke heinz could become another new winner in british touring
20:40cars here today and that would be uh another major step in terms of him for his career but can he
20:46fend off the 2002 champion james thompson over the last remaining corners thompson won't want to take too
20:52many risks he needs the car in one piece for the third race of the day he knows that ivan muller is still
20:58going to be scoring well and it's muller who leads the championship so he can't afford to make a
21:02really risky move what he's trying to do is put heinz under pressure force him into a mistake and
21:06this is all heinz has to do now is get round clearways safely and he will rack up his first win in the
21:12british touring car championship thompson's had a great run out of clearways but it's not going to be
21:17enough luke heinz has done enough in the number 57 car it's heinz who takes victory thompson who takes
21:23second place muller who takes third and the voxel team could celebrate a one two three rob huff
21:30struggling round as anthony reed takes fourth colin turkeyton takes fifth and tom chiltern finishes in
21:36sixth ahead of james kaye and uh then i think dan eaves will be next and poor rob huff still limping
21:42around with that seat that's not running right at all uh just coming across the line is justin keen
21:49and we're just waiting for there is wallace and now rob huff just crosses the line there he is
21:54a greatest shame after a brilliant run up front defending that fourth place for so long
21:59but it sets things up pretty exciting way for the final race of the day i have to say with those
22:04voxels all going well but they'll be heavy next time out and the mg's of reed and turkington not so heavy
22:11they'll be just behind them absolutely great result for luke heinz another young driver winning his first
22:17british touring car race a brilliant team effort as well for px racing with one two three
22:22that race was one on the star line he got a perfect start got ahead of collard and then drove an
22:27impeccable race under pressure from the last two champions
22:35so luke hines pulls into position in pit lane script nearing checks take place and uh the 22 year
22:42old son of many times world karting champion martin martin was a superstar on the 250 cc gearbox
22:49karts for so many years the super karts and uh young luke started his career in karting of course
22:55second in the british cadet karting championship when he was just 12 years old and then went on to
23:00race in the european junior karts championship up to formula four 2000 and then won the formula for
23:06sudden series championship in 2002 before going on to win the production class last year of course
23:11in that far well honda civic well he took six wins last year but this is his first win as a touring
23:18car driver and that's a big achievement well done to luke hines for fending off two champions of british
23:25touring cars in even matched cars he did have the advantage of no weight on board that car so that did
23:32help him there's no doubt that it was still very cleanly driven and no mistakes seen at all
23:38so luke will be celebrating that one and of course it will give him another front row start it will
23:43give him pole position for race number three here this afternoon he started on the outside of the front
23:49row for that race converted it into the win this time he'll have to start from pole position but that
23:55will be coming up just a little bit later on i'm just uh waiting for luke to jump out of the car
24:01trying to unplug undo the belts get everything sorted james thompson and ivan muller though they'll both
24:08be pretty happy with what they achieved there muller in particular just uh protecting that points
24:14advantage that he has over james thompson there's luke hines hey well done and he looks well pleased with
24:23that one and i think vicky's down there with him so we should be able to get a word over to congratulate
24:32him is james thompson who pushed him all the way but there were no slip-ups from luke hines and there's
24:38vicky luke turn around this way because i'm sure everyone at home wants to see your face absolutely
24:43congratulations did you think that you you were going to win today um that's my wishes that was
24:50definitely my wishes but you know to the last that i had tom you know thompson behind me for five
24:55six laps and it was a tense stuff but even when i crossed the line i still didn't sink in so how
25:02much pressure did james put on you towards the end there yeah lots um it just felt like he was uh
25:09waiting for the last lap so it was a tense stuff in the last lap did you think that you learned a
25:15lot during that race yeah being in front that's uh the most i've learned what did it feel like
25:22oh the best thing in the world now your father isn't here today but the terrific uh mr heinz senior
25:28what do you think he'll be thinking at the moment he's probably jumping the joy and uh screaming and
25:34everything i'm sure oh brilliant well well done and uh go and enjoy yourself for a few moments thank you
25:39back to ben thank you very much vicky and uh a very happy luke heinz a shame martin's not around to
25:46see the the victory here today but well i wonder how he's going to get on in race three there's
25:52confirmation of the results then james thompson just two tenths of a second behind but luke's the winner
25:56ivan muller making it a voxel one two three but mg will be there in race three not far behind tom
26:02chilton i didn't think that car was running quite as well as it might they may make some changes for race
26:06three james k did brilliantly to come up from the back of the field in the end dan eves also making
26:11up for that stalled engine on the grid with justin keen and paul wallace rounding out the top 10.

26:20the brand hatch marshals are doing a splendid job to clear up after a number of cars flew off into
26:38the gravel trap in that last race let's go down to vicky now that was a terrific start and then a
26:44lovely dice with collard sort of early on and then quite a nice easy run to the end well it wasn't
26:49quite as easy possibly as it looked um yeah i mean to be honest with you know the way the rules are
26:55now i'm starting so far back for that second race you know after last weekend's disaster of uh
27:00a non-finishing thought definitely better get some points on the on the board but so yeah tough tough
27:05you know to start with i'm particularly pleased we managed to get from uh you know from wherever we
27:10were on the grid of the second so uh gives us a shout for the last race i know that you were
27:15reeling in luke heinz there towards the end and you put on your lights was that to scare him
27:19well you've got to use every trick in the book haven't you to try and it's hardly the most frightening
27:23thing in the world is it a dim a dim headlights did you do a gentle roar under your helmet as well
27:28yeah there's a little bit of aggression going on but you know i don't think voxel would have
27:31thanked me too much if i'd put two cars in the uh sand trap so uh yeah great one two three and
27:37hopefully we can uh tie things up for the last last race now i know last weekend you were actually
27:42racing in the marathon which i think is absolutely where i was i wasn't really racing i was just
27:46trying to get to the finish but um how different is that basically to racing a car what does your
27:52body go through because well i wasn't quite as red as i am now really not to say oh god no no no
27:57well it was shocking day so um but uh horrendous and has your athleticism helped in the racing at all
28:04yeah it stops me sweating well thank you very much james and see you after race three all right
28:11thanks thank you now we have ivan muller here bonjour ivan bonjour now did you have um quite a lonely race
28:18yeah yeah it was a bit exciting in the beginning uh my style was good for the last first five meters and
28:24then um i was a bit disturbed with uh dan eves with which is missed his start and then i just tried to
28:32follow the rhythm um i was struggling a bit uh with uh with the on the chair uh the format of the
28:39race is a bit different than last year and i still struggle a bit to find the the right setup with this
28:44format were you playing a tactical game at all in race one because you finished six so you know well you
28:50you finished though that you would start six in race two was there any tactics going on you know you
28:55can do a tactic on the first race when you play for just a victory but when you play for a championship
29:01you have to score as much points you can uh it will be too risky to to make any any any any play or
29:07any game no no i was flat out and i done my best lovely thank you very much for that now anthony reed
29:15who's uh first independent home hello there the mg's are famous for for doing very well here and uh today
29:22is no exception really yeah i mean the car the mg was flying in that second race as you could see and
29:27i started from the back of the grid but that was a legacy basically of having done no winter testing
29:32we had an electrical gremlin i think which was traced to the battery for the first race which meant i
29:36couldn't finish i still got fastest lap which shows the strength of the car but uh delighted but
29:43i have to say um robert huff held me up really sparked my race when i caught him up it took me quite
29:48a few laps to get past so i know i really felt that the mg could have won the race and do you think all
29:54the gremlins are ironed out now yeah i mean we've got some great guys on the team dick bennett's and
29:58wsr john judd and they've done a great job they changed everything on the car for the second race
30:03and look how well it went lovely well well done you look forward to race three thank you back to ben

30:12anthony reed for a while well uh the wheeled motorsport of different types taking place here at
30:17brandt hatch this weekend and we've got plenty more to look forward to as well we've got the formula

30:28come of course this afternoon we've got another round of the renault clio cup and the second seat
30:34race as well as the second porsche carrera cup of great britain race that will be the final one of
30:38the day in fact and then we've got our uh chat show as well we'll be bringing drivers over to our studio
30:44and finding out how their day went what they think uh might happen for next time and generally
30:49discussing the events of the weekend you can join in on that of course and uh text your messages to
