00:00Good morning. Winds will be lighted today and therefore it should feel quite a bit warmer than it did on Saturday.
00:06And temperatures are set to rise even further in the next few days.
00:09Meanwhile, we have got this wiggling weather front moving towards Northern Ireland and Scotland through Sunday night and Monday.
00:14That will bring a little bit of rain in places, but it's all about the temperatures over the next few days.
00:18High pressure building bringing increasingly hot conditions to many southern and central parts of the UK.
00:23This area of low pressure might just spark a few thunderstorms though, particularly on Tuesday and on Wednesday.
00:27Back to this morning though, and any shallow mist and fog that we did see form last night will quickly clear in that strong August sunshine.
00:35So blue skies across many parts of the UK through the course of today.
00:39A bit of fair weather cloud bubbling up, but lengthy spells of sunshine through this afternoon too.
00:44Any early morning showers across the north of Scotland will generally tend to fade away.
00:48So a dry and much warmer day to come across many parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Northern Ireland compared to yesterday.
00:53Lighter winds and temperatures potentially into the low 20s quite widely too.
00:58But the peak of the warmth today will be generally across the Midlands, eastern and southeastern parts of England where, well, mid-20s seem quite likely widely.
01:06And in the London area, we could even see 28 degrees Celsius today.
01:10With the light winds and the strong sunshine, it will feel very warm indeed.
01:14Out across Northern Ireland though, you'll notice that it will be turning cloudy through this afternoon with some patchy rain.
01:19And that area of rain will spread its way into western Scotland early this evening, turning fairly persistent overnight.
01:25So a pretty wet night to come for all parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland as well.
01:29Quite cloudy, breezy as well around the coast and areas of low cloud developing.
01:34So quite a lot of mist and murk over the high ground and even turning quite misty at sea level in some places too.
01:40Further south across England and Wales, well, largely clear skies and not quite as chilly as it was last night.
01:46So temperatures generally holding up into the low teens Celsius for many.
01:50Certainly a very north-south split in the weather as we go into Monday.
01:55So quite a lot of cloud across Northern Ireland, Scotland and the far north of England.
01:58Outbreaks of rain off and on, but the rain tended to move northwards gradually.
02:02So it tended to turn a little bit dry for Northern Ireland and Northern England with the rain most persistent in northwest Scotland through the afternoon.
02:10Further south, largely sunny conditions across many parts of England and Wales.
02:14There will be a bit more in a way of cloud compared to on Sunday.
02:18That cloud, fairly high in the sky though.
02:20So still expecting some hazy sunshine for many of us.
02:23But maybe just watch out for one or two isolated showers or thunderstorms later in the day across the southwest of England.
02:30Look at these temperatures though.
02:31Widely in the mid to high 20 Celsius and some spots will exceed 30 degrees.
02:35So feeling pretty hot across the heart of England and Wales and the southeast as we go into Monday afternoon.
02:41And even across Northern Ireland and Scotland, temperatures higher than they have been, 22 to 24.
02:46And that will feel quite humid with all that cloud and patchy rain around.
02:50So if you are interested to know just how high temperatures are going to get through the early part of the coming week.
