00:54It represents, for many, a breach in the trust that we place in the systems that are designed to protect us.
01:02And so it's really very natural to feel a mix of sadness, anger, fear, injustice.
01:10And all of this is part of something that we know as collective grief, which is when a loss impacts an entire community.
01:17Grief, as she notes, typically moves through five stages.
01:31Denial, guilt, depression, anger, and eventually acceptance.
01:36But when a loss occurs suddenly or under unusual circumstances, the pain can be compounded by confusion and mistrust.
01:44They need additional support.
01:47If they can't handle it on their own, recognizing that professional support is necessary and important to speak out,
01:55to avoid the development of grief turning into any serious mental health disorders.
