00:00Hello to all you ghouls and ghosts out there. The second season of Wednesday is

00:05about to crawl back onto Netflix like a disembodied hand creeping through a

00:10morgue after nearly three years. I'm TV and tech writer Matt Monahickson and I'm

00:15here to give you a quick remedial course and go back through what happened at

00:20Nevermore Academy and what you need to remember for season two. The first batch

00:24of episodes are arriving on the 4th of August and the second half of the season

00:29comes a month-ish later on the 3rd of September. First up you might have

00:36forgotten that Tyler who was one of the love interests for Wednesday played by

00:41Jenna Ortega in the TV show that he turned out to be the Hyde the monster that

00:47had been on the murderous spree across the town of Jericho and the school of

00:52Nevermore Academy. He was secretly being controlled by Miss Thornhill who was an

00:58army teacher at the school and she was played by Christina Ricci who was Wednesday

01:04Adams in the 90s films which is a really fun bit of casting there that they pulled

01:09off but she was secretly the sister of Garrett Gates who died in an accident at

01:18Nevermore School involving Morticia and Gomez Adams when they were there years ago.

01:23She was presumed dead but secretly she had changed her identity, came back to get

01:28revenged, used Tyler to kill people and she was setting about to destroy the Academy.

01:36Fortunately, Wednesday Adams was there to put a stop to it. She managed to take her down and stop

01:44her evil pilgrim zombie guy crackstone from destroying the school. Although he did do

01:52quite a bit of damage so yeah the Academy had to shut for the semester at the end of

01:57season one because quite a lot of it burned down and also the principal, principal

02:02Williams had been killed by Miss Thornhill so there was no principal and half the

02:07school had burnt down. So yeah it was quite a dramatic end to season two. However it was

02:12not all doom and gloom. Enid, the roommate of Wednesday, she had finally managed to use

02:20all of her wolf powers. She turned into a full werewolf for the first time, wolf out as she

02:26called it and she was able to take down Tyler while he was in hide mode using her werewolf

02:32form so that was a good end. Her and the character Ajax were, you know, on good romantic footing as

02:40opposed to other characters in the show so that's something I'm sure they'll delve into

02:45in season two. But the big thing that sort of teased into season two at the end of the

02:51first season of Wednesday was that she has a stalker and they're keeping an eye on her

02:57and probably going to get out to some nefarious stalkery things, you know. It's a mystery show.

03:03So there's a stalker, there's going to be plenty involved in season two. But that was our quick

03:09remedial look back through Wednesday season one and some of the important plot points that

03:13you're going to need to remember before season two starts on Netflix. So adios.
