00:00Releasing more mascots? That's not just good, that's great!
00:04Here's a look at the Jaded Toys Kellogg's Frosted Flakes Tony the Tiger!
00:24Bring the iconic mascot of Breakfast Champions to your collection
00:28with the Kellogg's Frosted Flakes Tony the Tiger 1-12 scale action figure by Jaded Toys.
00:33This highly detailed collectible captures the larger-than-life personality of Tony the Tiger,
00:38the beloved serial icon who has been inspiring generations with his great attitude and unstoppable energy.
00:44Alright Tony, let's show them that you're a tiger and show them what you can do.
00:47I guess before we show what he can do, let's take the tape measure and see how tall the figure stands.
00:52I have really been looking forward to getting the Tony the Tiger mascot,
00:55having already collected the Count Chocula, Frankenberry, and Booberry,
00:58which I would have loved to be able to bring in to compare them, obviously,
01:02because they're all serial mascots, but I had put them away in storage.
01:06Oh no.
01:07So I'll be bringing in another mascot, not linked to cereals, but linked to cats.
01:11You probably already know who that is.
01:13In the meantime though, as promised, the tape measure is going to tell us
01:16that Tony the Tiger is going to stand at about six and three quarters of an inch in height,
01:20translating to a figure that's 16 and a half centimeters tall.
01:24I can't imagine this guy's ever sat down for breakfast cereal,
01:26unless though his bowl is made of shredded cheddar.
01:29Still though, he knows a little something about what it's like to be a cat,
01:31so here's the Frosted Flakes Tony the Tiger, along with the Cheetos Chester Cheetah.
01:35Everybody, everybody, look at the lay of the land,
01:37and all the accessories that come in clue with Tony the Tiger.
01:39First, a little bit of brand messaging, if you don't mind.
01:42This is, after all, the thing that keeps the electricity going at the Tiger household.
01:45The figure does come in clue with a box of Frosted Flakes.
01:48I mean, it looks just like a box of Frosted Flakes, just a little bit smaller.
01:52Down to the fact that even they put the spines on there as well.
01:55Nutritional information.
01:56I mean, good luck even finding any nutritional information,
01:59even printed on the box or actually in a bowl of Frosted Flakes.
02:02On the back though, it looks like Tony the Tiger is surfing.
02:05I thought cats really didn't like water,
02:06but apparently Tony the Tiger is fine just to take out a surfboard.
02:09The thing about the box though is, I do like that they included it.
02:13He does technically come in clue with it as well, a hand to hold it.
02:16My one real issue though with this is that the hand grip is smaller than the box.
02:21Haven't not yet done this.
02:23I would certainly recommend heating this first with hot water
02:25before you move further doing what I'm doing right now.
02:28This sits in his hand, but it sits so awkwardly.
02:32And you're probably asking yourself,
02:33well, Humberd Reviewer, Magic Storyteller,
02:36why wouldn't you have taken the liberty of first heating this up
02:38so you didn't have to suffer through all this?
02:40I suffer so that you don't have to.
02:42Why I also did bring this to your attention as well
02:45is the first time I didn't choose to heat this,
02:47it's now worn away the paint on the inside of his hand.
02:50So cautionary measures, please heat this though up in hot water first.
02:54Then you'll have the much easier time of getting the Frosted Flakes into his hand.
02:58He holds it, but he would hold it oh so much more nicer
03:01if you would actually take the time, spend the time to heat the hands first.
03:06Let's put that off to the side.
03:08The figure does also come in clue, speaking of Frosted Flakes,
03:10not only does he come with a bowl of Frosted Flakes,
03:12but he also comes with a spoon to serve that.
03:15I don't know if it's just me though,
03:16by adding this clear finish on the top and painting it the wet look that it has now,
03:22does it not look less like Frosted Flakes
03:24and it looks more like a big bowl of mac and cheese?
03:27Chester T is like, wait, wait a minute, did you just say mac and cheese?
03:30Yeah, I don't know.
03:31I think it looks a little less resembling that of Frosted Flakes.
03:34It certainly looks a lot more like just a big thing.
03:37Not that I would be disputing.
03:38I'd be openly fine to eating like a big bowl of mac and cheese,
03:43although that's a pretty big bowl.
03:45I can imagine that that's going to sit well later.
03:47But yeah, the actual spoon is removable technically.
03:50It also can be turned, so you can get it just in the right position.
03:54You're probably wondering though, can he hold the Frosted Flake bowl?
03:57Yes, he can actually.
03:58If you look at the bottom of the bowl, there's a hole.
04:00Now the figure does actually come in clue with two hands that have pegs.
04:03Well, that's not true.
04:05One finger has a peg, if you want to really be more exact.
04:08The other palm has the peg right there.
04:10So you basically just take yourself the bowl of Frosted Flakes
04:13and you just plug it onto the peg.
04:15That's all that's really required.
04:17You want to make sure that you don't lose the illusion.
04:19Make sure it's all the way on there.
04:20And then basically you're just going to take the figure's hands,
04:22which I kind of find ironic that he has a close fist,
04:25but he doesn't really have a mere flip to that.
04:28Like there's no other hands that he has.
04:30Like just if you wanted to decide to display Tony the Tiger,
04:33not holding anything, not doing anything.
04:36He doesn't really have hands for just not doing anything.
04:40Doing something though, at least.
04:41Let's go ahead and just take his hands off.
04:43We're going to go ahead and...
04:44I did do this at the beginning of the review.
04:45You're just going to attach the hand by peg.
04:47And now he's got the bowl of Frosted Flakes in one hand.
04:50And of course he has the pointing hand in the other.
04:52They're great.
04:53They are great.
04:54I love Frosted Flakes as a kid.
04:55But if you want to go, go ahead and just take the hand off the other side.
05:00Just like that.
05:01Take the spoon of Frosted Flakes and plug it in just like that.
05:05So now it looks like Tony the Tiger actually...
05:07I don't know if he's actually eating these things himself.
05:09He probably just can't stand the taste of Frosted Flakes.
05:11But he's like, hey, try some kids.
05:13Buy my box of cereal.
05:14It's just over there.
05:15Make sure though you heat your hands first before you...
05:17No, no, no.
05:18Don't heat your hands.
05:19Your hands are fine.
05:20Your hands have give.
05:21Plastic hands though.
05:22That's a different story altogether.
05:24Anyways though, you can display the figure like that if you so choose.
05:27The other options available for hands before we look at the basketball.
05:30Wait, he does come with a clue with the basketball?
05:31Yeah.
05:32He does have a thumbs up.
05:34And he also comes with a clue with just a regular pointing hand.
05:36He does technically also have...
05:38Where's the other hand?
05:39Right here.
05:40He has the same pointing hand.
05:42So it doesn't look like it's different at all.
05:43Other than this one just has the peg on the end.
05:46And you're asking, what's that peg for?
05:48Well, you already gave it away.
05:48You said you had to come with a clue with a basketball.
05:51Yeah.
05:51The figure does also have a basketball.
05:54As we've certainly seen in some of the commercials, there's a hole on the bottom of that.
05:57And already knowing what he does with the bowl of cereal, you already know that this
06:01just attaches onto the peg like that.
06:03So now he can spin the ball.
06:05Giving you at least the illusion that he's spinning the ball.
06:07What they actually smartly chose to include was actually just spinning effects.
06:12So basically this just goes over top of the basketball.
06:15I mean, you can really choose whereabouts you want to have that on the ball.
06:17But the crucial thing to include is just making sure at least it looks like he's actually
06:22spinning it.
06:24That's pretty cool.
06:25Again, if you want to do, you just go ahead and take the hand that has the spoon.
06:29Just detach it from his forearm.
06:31Take the hand that has the basketball.
06:32Don't worry.
06:33That thing's going to fall off.
06:34It falls off a lot.
06:35And then that just plugs in place.
06:38Just like that.
06:39And now you can have Tony the Tiger looking like he's spinning the basketball.
06:42I'm looking around right now.
06:44I think I've actually dropped that on the floor.
06:48Biscuits.
06:49You're going to have to come back to that a little bit later.
06:51So yeah, there's a couple of different options available when it comes to displaying Tony
06:54the Tiger outside of just defaulting them with the regular human, regular tiger hands.
07:00I think really when it comes to displaying the figure, I'm likely just going to go back
07:03to the idea of the bowl of cereal, whether it does actually look like Frosted Flakes or
07:06not.
07:07Let's move everything though out of the way.
07:09I'm going to have to come back and find that thing in a second.
07:12Anyways, we're going to take the basketball off right now.
07:14Maybe what we'll also do too is we'll just remove the bowl.
07:17Makes things when it comes to rotating the figure's parts around a little bit more easier.
07:23This just doesn't look right.
07:24Hold on a second.
07:25Let's just replace the hand first.
07:27There we go.
07:29Getting a closer look at Tony the Tiger's face.
07:31Like though, Chester Teeter, we've already had a look at.
07:34The one thing that two figures have in common outside of being felines is that they also
07:37have real whiskers.
07:39Not that they actually plucked these from a cat's face.
07:41Meow!
07:42That probably would hurt quite a lot.
07:43But they actually have added these little wires for whiskers.
07:46I think that's really cool.
07:48Head Sculpt though certainly does look like Tony the Tiger.
07:51I think it's fun also that they actually added a fabric.
07:55What would that be?
07:55Like a handkerchief?
07:56Not a handkerchief.
07:57Scarf.
07:58Scarf?
07:59It's going to come to me.
08:01Somebody's going to tell me down below in the comments.
08:03I'm drawing an absolute blank.
08:04I now keep thinking about mac and cheese.
08:07No, it's going to come to me.
08:09Anyways, he does have this done in all fabric.
08:11You can actually see here that it does say right on the top there.
08:16It's a little harder to make out.
08:17Does it say family?
08:18I think it says family.
08:19No, it says tiger.
08:22Stupid idiot.
08:23I like that they actually included that.
08:25That's fun that they actually chose not to do that in plastic rather doing in fabric.
08:30Face looks painted really well.
08:32Of course, you've got the stripes down the sides of his arms.
08:34I think the orange for the most part looks pretty good.
08:37There are a few little areas.
08:39Like I can't help but think like the hands aren't really quite the same color as like
08:42the forearms.
08:43But I think that the orange is still pretty close.
08:45That they would have then gone in there and painted the palms look good there.
08:48Like the paint generally is well handled.
08:51I don't have really any issues whatsoever.
08:53Funny though enough, he also has lighter areas here on the back of his body.
08:57He also has it down below here and is behind.
08:59I don't know why they choose those two places not to have additional orange.
09:03It almost does kind of look like wear marks.
09:05Like the guy's been sitting down a lot, which would be next to impossible just by the way
09:09his body is built.
09:10But surprisingly though, this area here and down below, especially in his tush, everybody
09:14look at the tiger tush.
09:16It's a lighter color of orange.
09:18Not really sure why.
09:19The figure does, by the way, have tail articulation.
09:21So you can make use of that certainly as well if you want.
09:23For the figure's articulation, by the way, Tony the tiger's head is going to be on a
09:27bulge wing.
09:27Despite having this in the way, which really it isn't, the figure easily can still rotate
09:32his head up, down.
09:34Technically, you could turn it all the way around.
09:36We want to be though careful as you're turning it because that's going to also turn this
09:39around as well.
09:41Up and down, like I said, back and forth as well.
09:43The arms rotate all the way around.
09:44No issues there.
09:46You can take Tony the tiger's arms and you can also hinge them out.
09:48Now, I've noticed already, getting this guy out of the box, his arms shoulders at least
09:54were really tight.
09:55I haven't actually heated these up.
09:57That would probably have been a smart part of my part, a smart thing to do on my part.
10:00But yeah, the figure does have overly tight shoulders.
10:03So you just want to be careful there.
10:06Like right now, I'm noticing, yeah, that joint is really, really tight.
10:10Just before we actually beeline it over to the turntable, I'm going to go in there and
10:14heat that up with a hairdryer because I don't want that to break.
10:17There we go.
10:17Now, bicep is on a swivel, so that's nice to see.
10:20The figure does also have a double hinge on the elbow.
10:22Again, tight joints there.
10:24And whatever hands you want to use for Tony the tiger, they rotate all the way around
10:27and hinge back and forth.
10:28First torso, Tony the tiger.
10:31Look how much this guy can do.
10:32I mean, he's got energy after all.
10:33The sugar and all the other ingredients they add to frosted flakes gives this guy the fuel
10:37he needs.
10:38Don't be eating frosted flakes on a regular basis.
10:41Upper torso is on a good bowl joint, so you can rotate it fully there.
10:44Waist is on a swivel, so yeah, you can turn it back and forth or turn him back
10:47and forth that way.
10:48And then he's got these tiny, tiny little tiger legs, which, by the way, are actually
10:53on ball joints.
10:54So you can hinge those legs out.
10:56You can move them forward and back.
10:58There is no leg swivel, but I mean, again, like, look how long his legs are anyways.
11:02He does, however, have a knee bend.
11:05The knee bend does give a little bit of extra allowances when it comes to what you can do
11:08with his legs.
11:09And of course, his pads underneath, there's some ankle pivot.
11:12You can rock them back and forth that way.
11:14And I know I said this already.
11:15The figure does also have tail articulation.
11:17There's a hinge joint right there where you can bend the tail and you can rotate it all
11:20the way around.
11:21Tony the Tiger, man, oh man.
11:23What a nice looking figure he is.
11:25Again, like, when it comes to displaying the figure, it's entirely up to you.
11:29I'm still going to have to find that spiraling effect piece.
11:31It's on the floor, as it always is.
11:33I think likely, though, I'm still going to not display him with a basketball, even though
11:36I'm probably going to be looking at that at the end of this review.
11:38I think, if anything, I'm going to be bringing back in the bowl of mac and cheese.
11:42Does it not look like a mac and cheese?
11:43Big bowl of mac and cheese.
11:45And he also comes, of course, with a spoon.
11:46That likely would be the way I'm going to be displaying the figure.
11:49And then maybe, if anything, put the box of cereal next to him.
11:52For those that, again, are looking to pick up this figure, just, again, be careful.
11:55This hand certainly would recommend high on your priority list.
11:59Heat this up, though, with hot water.
12:01I always really kind of say, like, Jada Toys does really good plastic when it comes to their
12:04figures.
12:04Sort of that works against Tony the Tiger.
12:06The plastic is that good quality, but it's the kind of plastic that is unforgiving.
12:11So, again, to get the box of cereal into his hand, you can see, like, there's not much
12:15to really work with when it comes to leeway.
12:17Heat the hand, though, first in hot water.
12:20Or, again, run the hair dryer a few passes with that.
12:23Because you don't really want to have these marks on his fingers.
12:25I still think it's going to happen no matter what.
12:27Because just the friction of having plastic running against the fingers of the plastic,
12:31no matter what you're going to do, no matter how you try to avoid it,
12:34I think those wear marks are still going to end up happening.
12:37Tony the Tiger, though, is a nice-looking figure.
12:38I really kind of wish, though, I could have had the opportunity to bring my cereal mascots in,
12:42having already, again, looked at Count Chocola, Frankenberry.
12:45I don't think they did anyone else other than Booberry.
12:48Those three, those top three.
12:49Fruity Yummy Mummy.
12:51Also, Fruit Brute.
12:52I wonder if we're ever going to be getting versions of those as well.
12:55But, yeah, if you're a big fan of collecting cereal mascots,
12:58Tony the Tiger certainly is a must-have to add to your collection.
13:01I found it!
13:01I found it!
13:02The little swooshing effect shurn up was on the floor.
13:04I also found the name for the thing that goes around Tony the Tiger's head.
13:07It was a bandana.
13:08People, I'm sure, frantically tell me down below,
13:10you stupid idiot, it's a bandana.
13:13No need to name-call now.
13:15One thing I will say about Tony the Tiger,
13:17and this could be just being a biased 80s kid,
13:19I loved Tony the Tiger as a kid.
13:22I love him as a figure now.
13:24I mean, one thing as a kid, though,
13:25you could go down the breakfast cereal aisle,
13:27and it would be hard-pressed to find anything that was generally good for you.
13:29You had oatmeal, yeah.
13:30I mean, oatmeal, I'm sure, was finer.
13:32Cream of wheat.
13:33Anybody really remember cream of wheat?
13:34And there was always that puffs of wheat.
13:36Buying big bags of frosted wheat about the size of a kid.
13:40The thing about Frosted Flakes, though,
13:42Frosted Flakes was delicious as long as you added the milk and you ate it right away.
13:45The little cereal barrier that it had of sugar frosting
13:49was the only thing that was keeping those cereal bits from becoming a mushy mess.
13:53The moment that sugar barrier was gone, forget about it.
13:57If you walked away, first of all, as a kid,
13:59you would know you would never walk away from a bowl of Frosted Flakes.
14:02If you went to the goal of the washroom,
14:04or you wanted to go change the channel for the TV,
14:06because back then you'd have to walk up to the TV to change the channel,
14:09just know, though, you were coming back on borrowed time.
14:12The moment that sugar barrier was protecting the cereal was gone,
14:16so was the chance of enjoying a bowl of Frosted Flakes.
14:19What do you guys think of Tony the Tiger?
14:20Let me know down below in the comments section.
14:22Have you guys at all been also collecting the Jada Toys cereal mascot figures?
14:26Again, we have Count Chocliffe, Boo Berry, Frankenberry.
14:29I'm wondering if we're going to be getting any other cereal mascots.
14:32I mean, I think they've also got Planned Toucan Sam,
14:35Come Follow My Nose.
14:37Good time to be a kid was growing up in the 80s.
14:39I mean, we didn't have the healthiest things to be eating,
14:41but from a mascot standpoint, there were tons to go around.
14:44But what do you guys think of the figure?
14:46Let me know down below.
14:47If you guys also did enjoy this video,
14:48hey now, hey now, you can do it a solo and throw it a like.
14:51You guys want to stick around for more so?
14:52I hope so.
14:53Hit the subscribe, turn on the bell,

14:59And I can also tell you too, the Magic Storyteller,
15:02that there are in fact more videos going to be coming your way
15:04for the rest of this week.
15:05So hoping you're coming back for those.
15:07As always, thanks for watching.
15:08See you guys next time.
