00:00Hey everyone, what's going on? Greg here again from Team Blast. If you're looking for ways to
00:03get more phone calls, potential leads for your business, get into Apple Business Connect. I'm
00:08going to walk you through a few ways you can optimize your account a little bit more so you
00:12can get better rankings and hopefully get more customers as well. To start is your about section.
00:17This is a small ranking factor within Apple. The reason why I'm calling this out is that I work
00:21with a lot of clients that are actually multi-language. So they'll do things like we speak
00:26English and Spanish and Portuguese or English and Spanish and French or something like
00:30that. What you can do is go to the other languages over here and you can actually type in. So
00:35if I type in the word Spanish over here, you can actually then take your description from
00:39English and then put it into this box for Spanish. So this is huge. If you are a doctor and let's
00:45say you work with a population that's, you know, again, English, Spanish, Russian, take
00:50your description, translate it right there with an Apple. That's a ranking factor. That's
00:55pretty easy to do. So next is your photos. So photos, Apple actually has within their
01:01insights section that they can actually display. How many times people have clicked on your
01:05photos? Apple is very visual. So you want to have photos of both the outside of your
01:09location, you working on whatever the services you provide, regular photo updates. They can
01:15increase the engagement. I think Apple uses dwell time like Google. So if you're a mover, share
01:21photos on a regular basis of the team moving, you know, residential or commercial properties.
01:26This is a small ranking factor as well. So update photos. That is great. Let's go back
01:30into the profile. Next is your hours. So be sure when you click into the hours, you want
01:36to manually check off the ad special hours. So as special hours are things like 4th of July,
01:42Christmas, Thanksgiving, anything else like that. So be sure to check off if you are or are
01:46not open. Uh, it's a small ranking factor. Uh, next you want to have, um, actions on your
01:54profile. So over here, when you click on this, my actions are to get basically a free local
02:01SEO audit. So I have a link to my, um, free local SEO audit page on my website, but I also
02:06have a schedule link as well. So you can get in contact with me. So I do this with all my
02:10clients. If you are, um, let's say you have like a booking link on your website, I'll add
02:15that as an action. So somebody who comes to my profile using their Apple device, or they're
02:20using Apple maps on their browser, they can then, you know, click on services or they can
02:24click on schedule and then they can get, um, either in contact with my client or at least
02:29get a booking the actions tab. It's not so much a ranking factor, but it's way to get
02:33more, uh, potential leads for your business. Next, you want to look at the showcases section
02:38down here. So showcases are things you want to kind of call out. Uh, so what's the, what
02:43does this kind of look like? So if you go to Apple, uh, maps beta, this is that showcase
02:48that's a free heat map scan has a photo of me and it has click see services. So I do this
02:54also with my clients. So I will have different showcases, whether it's like a promotion we're
02:58running. So it might be like 10% off your first move from, you know, July 1st through
03:03July 30, you know, July 31st or whatever. I'll have that as a, uh, showcase to kind of
03:08highlight that again. I'm trying to increase the click through rate, get more people to
03:12kind of, you know, see the standout as a showcase. Cause again, what I noticed a lot of times
03:16competitors will just create an Apple business connect profile and then they never go back
03:19into it. So creating showcases, it's active, gets users to click on it. And also you can
03:24potentially get more, uh, leads from that as well. Uh, finally, the categories is a ranking
03:30factor. I'm going to share this in one second, but your primary category is most important.
03:34So for me, it's a marketing agency and I've advertised an agency and business, um, consultant.
03:39I share this because, uh, category search is a big part of Apple maps. So if you are, let's
03:45say a, um, let's say you're a mover, there might be categories like mover as the primary
03:52category, but then secondary services are like piano mover or something else. So if you are
03:57really struggling to get more leads for the term mover, because if you run your local Falcon,
04:01heat map scans and you're like, man, I can't really rank better for mover. There's so many
04:05movers in the area. Maybe try to niche down into a secondary category, like piano mover,
04:11make that the primary category, see what that does. If that gets more phone calls, uh, for
04:15your business. Um, the good to know section over here, this is also, now this is not so
04:20much a direct ranking factor, but it's a, it's an indirect ranking factor because when
04:24you're on Apple maps, you can actually, um, sort by different features. So as a wheelchair
04:30accessible appointments only, do they accept Apple pay? Um, I noticed this actually when
04:35I was in ocean city, Maryland last year, I was, um, I was working on a free local SEO
04:40audit and I, and I looked at, um, just in general, what was out in ocean city. And I
04:45realized that there was a, uh, a filter section, which was, can you accept Apple pay? Um, so
04:50obviously on Apple, you can have Apple pay as a, as a feature. So if you are, you know,
04:56let's say a locksmith or a mover, um, and you're trying to rank a little bit better on
05:00Apple, except Apple pay, cause it's a feature that people can filter directly within Apple
05:04maps to find businesses that connects up that, uh, for payments. So that's a small
05:08ranking factor as well. Uh, let me go back into the info section here. And the last thing
05:14I wanted to talk about was, uh, oh yeah. And if you also have an app, you can add this
05:19over here. So the app store URL, this is a great place to kind of, you know, show. So if you
05:24were like a business, um, that offers, uh, like an app, so I'm making up, uh, uh, uh, an
05:31example over here, but let's pretend you're an HVAC company and you have an app that allows
05:34users to log in, or maybe like you're, you're a lawn care service that has an app. So people
05:38can then stick the schedule of like how often you're going to come to their location to service
05:43their lawn. You can put the app directly in here to the app store. Again, it will kind
05:48of feature that directly for users. So now they're, they're able to not to kind of navigate
05:52to the app store to either check out your app or to download the app as well. Finally,
05:56let's talk about insights. So my profile is going to look so different than my clients.
06:00So this is not the best example, but I want to just go all the way down over here, change
06:05this from week to 12 months and hit save. So for my account, no one really calls me as
06:10you can see, or website, cause no one's really on Apple maps looking for a marketing agency,
06:16for example. But for my clients who are locksmiths and HVACs and plumbers and movers,
06:21you really want to go into this section over here. You'll get all the data of how many phone
06:25calls you get, how many website clicks you get, how many directions you get. So if you're
06:28a doctor, directions might be a KPI that you're tracking. You can even change the heat map over
06:34here. So I'm going to change this to 12 months. Again, it's probably no data that shows up for
06:37my business, but I do this a lot. So my clients, they're running Google ads and Bing ads. I'll look
06:41at the heat map to see exactly where people are clicking on directions to then get to the
06:45location because those might be areas I really want to target directly with a Google ad or Bing
06:50ad as well. So anyway, those are just some ways to optimize your Apple business connect profile to
06:57potentially improve your rankings, but also make your profile stand up more. So you get more phone
07:01calls, more leads from your business for people who choose to use Apple maps to search. Also duck,
07:06duck, go uses Apple maps for their results. So anyone that's searching on that who searches for a
07:11local business, that's Apple maps and they're not Google and not Bing. Anyway, thanks for
07:17watching this video. Let me know if you have any questions about Apple business connect and as
07:21always have a good rest of your day.
