00:00It's the grade one Diana, $500,000 up for grabs, and it's one of those really prestigious races that they run every year at Saratoga.

00:11Roberto, one of the best horses in training right now, Philly, mare, older, younger, doesn't matter, is the number one.
00:18She feels pretty for Cherie DeVoe, and when you talk about trainers who feel like they're going to have big meets,
00:25Cherie DeVoe is a fantastic trainer, and it just seems like all of her horses are running well.
00:30She feels pretty, has now won four in a row.
00:33She's won seven of ten, and she's won grade one races, the highest level, when she was a two-year-old, a three-year-old, and a four-year-old.
00:42She's just fantastic, and she's tough to knock, but from a gambling standpoint, she's going to be a short price,
00:48and in a race that's competitive, there are a couple other horses in here who are probably tougher than some of the horses she's been facing recently.
00:56I think if she remains on training, she can equal rushing fall to be a grade one winner at two, three, four, even five years old.
01:05I don't know if that is going to happen right now and agree with you.
01:10She's, to me, her and Sovereignty are the two best horses in the United States right now, but it's Saratoga.
01:17You have to try to be the favorites.
01:19Trust me.
01:19Yep, she's going to make the third start of her form cycle.
01:24She's tough.
01:24We don't have many knocks on her, but we're, this is a gambling show, too.
01:27We're bettors.
01:28We're always looking for the value any way we can find it.
01:31Roberto Shwazia, the two, she had a really good win, two starts back in the Jenny Wiley.
01:37Then she raced in the Just a Game.
01:39She may not have liked the turf course that day.
01:41It was yielding.
01:42She was also a little bit wide.
01:43You could just tell early on she was not running the same way she was running in that race at Keeneland, right?
01:50Definitely.
01:51And we go back to the prior race that, you know, we made comments.
01:55I think it was the ground.
01:56I think she's going to run better this time.
01:59Yeah, and she's certainly classy.
02:00And if you look at her form before she came to the U.S., she was winning back-to-back group stakes races over at May Dawn.
02:07So, very, very nice one.
02:08But she's going to have to improve on some of these horses in here who beat her last time out.
02:14We have a shipper that comes out for Richard Baltus from the West Coast.
02:18Lady Claypool is in really nice form right now.
02:20She had won three in a row before she finished second in the Grade 1 Gamely.
02:25But she was behind Be Your Best, Roberto.
02:27So, she's going to have to deal with that same rival.
02:30And then, I think, some other really tough ones that are a little bit tougher than some of the horses she was probably facing out West.
02:36Well, on her favor, this is a really good combination.
02:40Best late base and also Joel Rosario, which is, I'll call him the Mariano Rivera, the best closer.
02:48Absolutely.
02:49That's a really good combination.
02:51Yep, for the baseball fans out there, they know Joel, he's the strongest finisher.
02:56If you're close with Joel and he's coming late and he's got that horse, he's going to get you.
03:01He just is.
03:02He knows where to time it, and he's got that incredible touch and feel for how to finish the races off.
03:08The next few to talk about, I think, are major, major players.
03:12You like the four, excellent truth.
03:14I've been a little bit unlucky in the two starts here in the U.S.
03:18First, in the Jenny Wiley, she should have won that race, Roberto.
03:22She got in some trouble.
03:24There was a disqualify.
03:25They were looking at an inquiry.
03:27I thought they were going to disqualify the winner who was the two, Shwazia.
03:30They didn't.
03:31They left Shwazia up, but I could have seen that going either way.
03:36I really thought they could have taken her down and put excellent truth up.
03:39And then in the just a game, she finished second, and she didn't have the best of trips either.
03:44She was kind of inside.
03:45She got shuffled.
03:46Then she had to go wide.
03:47And she didn't even really look like she was running all that great, and she still finished second.
03:52So I think that shows how much talent she has.
03:54And she was on the outside of the Nightmare President.
03:57And I can bet you Flavian Pratt wishes to be in the inside, you know, to say ground, but it wasn't possible.
04:03And also, you see, you mentioned something.
04:06It's the terror of the cycle, which is one of my favorite angles.
04:09Yep.
04:09And also Flavian Pratt and Sha Brown in the last nine times they have, you know, team up for this type of races.
04:18Greatest state races, Saratoga, four, you know, females on turf.
04:22They are 44%.
04:23I think this is a good number.
04:25I think she has pretty good chances.
04:27And Sha Brown have won this race night time and eight from the last eight, eight from the last nine.
04:33So I think she's a player here.
04:35That'll get the job done.
04:36And I try to think of it, as you were pointing out, like in sports, when you have a really good hitter and they get the chance to see a pitcher repeatedly, third time, they kind of figure them out.
04:47I feel like we're going to get a really good ride from Pratt here with this horse that he's kind of got her figured out now after being aboard her the last couple.
04:54But we can't really knock dynamic pricing, Roberto, four-year-old Philly.
04:58She just vaulted kind of towards the top of this division with this really big win.
05:02And she's now won two in a row and she wasn't really one of Chad Brown's top tier horses before this race.
05:10She was 10 to one going in, but she's looking like she really improved now as a four-year-old.
05:16She stepped forward.
05:17And I mean, she seems like she's live right back.
05:20You have to consider Chad Brown has won in the last five seasons, at least 20 states with 20 different mares.
05:27It's just unbelievable.
05:31And she's one of them.
05:32So, I mean, you have to consider this feeling.
05:34Dynamic pricing, another major player in here.
05:37And then we round out the field with Be Your Best.
05:40And we were talking in our earlier segment about the trainer, Southie Joseph Jr., as we watched Be Your Best's most recent win.
05:47This was out at Santa Anita in the grade one gamely.
05:50He, Southie Joseph, the trainer, does such a fantastic job of finding the right spots for his horses.
05:58He did it with Skippy Longstocking over the last few years.
06:00And he sent this one out west in a race where there was no speed.
06:05Be Your Best got the lead.
06:06And I don't know if she's as good as some of the other horses in here, Roberto.
06:11But she found a great race to try to use her speed as that weapon.
06:15Again, there is not much early speed from the other five horses in here.
06:20That is my question.
06:21Who will sacrifice their horse to go after Be Your Best?
06:26Because if you let her go, she can wire the field.
06:29I think she has the quality.
06:31You saw the last race.
06:33I mean, she's on the outside.
06:36And it's Ira Ortiz.
06:37I think, you know, you have to go after her early.
06:41Otherwise, you probably won't be able to catch her.
