00:00If you're still using old D-handles, you're missing out on your options that are available
00:03that give you more versatility, like the Eucalypt Smile Handle that goes from a regular D-handle
00:07and turns into a hammer grip handle without needing another attachment. So this just gives
00:13me more bang for my buck. And this is not a concept that's new. It's been around with Prime Fitness
00:17with their Kaz handles. But at $130 a pop, those are expensive handles. So in this video, I'm going
00:22to show you two different options that are more affordable, the Eucalypt Smile Handle and also
00:26the Bullet Pulley Pistol Grip Handle that has a double-ended strap. So it comes with two
00:30carabiners on each end, and then it slides down to create that hammer grip handle. This first one's
00:36a small handle from Euclips, and this one feels very solid, very heavy for a handle. It's made
00:41out of stainless steel. You have the eye bolts on the top and the bottom here, so you can attach a
00:46cable from any direction. And then this here, the knurling, is very aggressive, and it almost feels
00:51like a barbell. As far as the handle goes, it's about just shy of five inches, and then you have
00:56plastic stoppers here on the side, so you can have some support for your hand. Now the strap is about
01:01an inch and a half in thickness. As far as durability goes, this feels very solid since it's mostly metal.
01:07The weakest point, I would say, is right here where the strap meets the eye bolt or the eye hook.
01:13There's a grommet there, so that protects the strap, but I think that would be the only weak point
01:18to this whole handle. Other than that, I mean, you can use it like a regular handle, and then you have
01:22the ability to attach the cable here for tricep kickbacks, tricep extensions, hammer curls, reverse
01:28flies. Very solid handle, and this one goes for about 70 bucks if you buy the pair. This other one's
01:34the bullet pulley pistol grip handle, and this one has a double-ended strap, so each end of the strap
01:38has a carabiner, so I can use them together to form a D-handle, or I can only hook one end to the
01:44cable machine, and then it becomes a hammer grip handle. Now this handle here is about four inches
01:49wide, so it can be small if you have bigger hands. It is ergonomic though, so it feels really good on
01:55my hand, and it does have some texture to it. I wouldn't say it's grippy, but it feels really nice.
02:02There's a wide diameter to the handle, so it feels really good with the ergonomic design. Now the center
02:07is completely hollow, so I can move the strap to the top or bring it all the way down, and what's good
02:13about that ergonomic design though is when you compare this to an ergonomic triceps rope, if you
02:17try to use a triceps rope that's ergonomic, and you flip it upside down to do something like hammer
02:21curls or face pulls, you lose that ergonomic design because the handle can only go one way, but with
02:27this one having a double-ended strap, you don't lose that ergonomic design, so it's always there
02:32whether I'm doing triceps extensions or hammer curls, so that's a good thing. Now the strap on this one
02:38is about an inch in thickness, and like I said before, each end has a carabiner that works
02:43independently, or I can work them together. So the advantage of using these handles over regular D
02:47handles when it comes to hammer grip exercises is that the strap is not going to get in the way.
02:52With this handle here, the strap is out of the way completely. When I use a regular D handle, if I want
02:57to anchor this on the top, that strap is going to be pinching me down, or I can grab my hand around the
03:03strap, but it's just not going to be as comfortable. So that's the main difference, and if you can get
03:07two handles out of one, why not? So which one of these is better? Well that's going to depend on
03:11what you like. If you like more of an ergonomic handle, then this might be a good option for you.
03:15It's four inches wide though, remember that, so if you have bigger hands, then this one over here
03:19might be a better option. If you like knurling, then this is aggressive knurling. It feels like a
03:24barbell, and it feels heavy for what it is, but both of them function the same way. They work very well
03:29for D handle exercises and for hammer grip exercises, so now you have choices. This one here, the pair
03:35sells for $30. This one here, the pair sells for $70. So it's up to you what you like. I'll leave
03:40links in the description below so you can check them both out. If you like the information in this
03:44video, make sure you give it a thumbs up. Leave me your comments and questions down below. Don't
