00:00Well, they live their life like a candle in the wind.
00:15That was the flicker of hope given by the West Indies, who fell to a 152-run defeat Australia,
00:22despite another stellar Shamaa Joseph performance.
00:25Joseph was a thorn in the side of the Aussies, grabbing five wickets,
00:28but the Windies' hopes of pushing one to victory on Day 3, well, that was thwarted as chasing 201.
00:35Josh Hazelwood ripped through their batting to see them fold it for 141.
00:43Day 3 at Kensington was going to be pivotal, with the Aussies batting a second time,
00:47nursing a slender lead of 82, but with six wickets remaining.
00:53And every wicket squandered was going to increase the pressure on the West Indies.
00:58Again, how many of those have we seen in the test match?
01:05Seventh drop of the match, Justin Graves, again.
01:09Travis Head and Bo Webster were putting value on their wicket,
01:12putting together a valuable 102-run stand.
01:16But Shamaa Joseph was the Australian's poisoned chalice, removing Head on 61.
01:21He would also end Webster's four-hour vigil on 63.
01:33The ball passes close to the bat.
01:36Can you hold an old stretch, confirm bat, no bat, please?
01:40Keep going through, keep going through.
01:42There's a clear spike as the ball is next to the bat.
01:44But the tourists are known for their fight, and Alex Carey was combative as he made a half-century.
01:56That's authoritative from Alex Carey to bring up his 50.
02:02A lead of 300-plus was the target for the visitors,
02:05but the West Indies were trying to limit the damage.
02:07The Joseph Pacers struck a double blow, removing Pat Cummings and Mitchell Stark,
02:14while skipper Ruston Chase finally got carried to air on 65,
02:20with the visitors leading by 281.
02:26And Shamaa Joseph's 5-4 would polish off the Australians at 310,
02:30with a valuable lead of exactly 300.
02:33However, 301 was always going to be a complex task for the host.
02:44Yet, John Campbell and Casey Carty had a period of production,
02:48albeit not without some drama.
02:58Both got into the 20s, conjuring hope of a solid partnership.
03:03But it was only a mirage.
03:10As Josh Hazelwood had Campbell and Brandon King back in the stands with a score on 47.
03:18And the skipper would join them two runs later.
03:27The host going from 47 for 2 to 56 for 5 in quick time.
03:31It's Josh Hazelwood, a familiar dismissal type.
03:35And Pat Cummings produced one that was unplayable for Shea Hoop at 61 for 6.
03:39Seems to be the end that's doing all the damage.
03:42Where the West Indians were slack, the Australians were efficient.
03:46There is a significant contribution from Manas Labashain, not in the 11-4.
04:00Shamaa Joseph's cameo 44 of 22 balls provided a distraction from the obvious.
04:04But the Australians would not be denied victory on day three.
04:09Winning the first test by 159 runs with Josh Hazelwood, the destroyer, with a 5-4.
04:21The wicket and the Australians have dominated.
04:25Torrance Clark, teams export.
04:28All after Humpty Dumpty's great fall, new skipper Rosten Chase placed the blame on the feeling,
04:33but was full of praise for his bowlers.
04:35Yeah, I thought we slipped up in terms of the feeling.
04:39We dropped too many catches.
04:40We didn't take the chances when they came.
04:42And you can't really drop good batters at this level and give them two innings to back.
04:47I thought Travis and Webster played a beautiful partnership, so kudos to them.
04:52But I can't discredit the bowlers.
04:55Every time I called on them, they were willing and ready to come and give their all.
04:59And I must commend them for the effort throughout the game.
05:03Well, the skipper also explained what went wrong with the Caribbean men's second innings with the bat.
05:08We didn't get off to a good start.
05:10We were looking for at least a 50 partnership because we realized that the wicket was a new ball wicket,
05:15that things were happening with the new ball.
05:17So once we could nullify that new ball, we thought that we could have had a chance at getting the target.
05:22But I mean, we were on the back foot from ball one.
05:26In the first oval, we lost our most experienced batsman, Craig Braffitt.
05:29And we just never really got a foot back in the game from then.
05:34The skipper for the single out piece, Shemar Joseph, who took nine wickets in the match and also set a new high with the bat despite the defeat.
05:41Coming into the game, they had a bit of controversy in the news talking about currently Ambrose and stuff.
05:50So I guess he used that as fire to come out there and give the performance that he gave.
05:55And I just want to congratulate him again on the game that he had and the innings that he came and played in the end.
06:01It just shows that the character and the heart that this young man has.
