00:00The star batsmen up front for the West Indies, Tej Narayan Chandapal and John Campbell.
00:06Could they take the shine of the ball, burn out the Indian seamers and lay the platform that the visitors need to change their fortunes in this match?
00:14It must have been a lot to think about as they fought to find the confidence in themselves to get runs on the board.
00:20Both batsmen needed to prove a point on why they were recalled for the West Indies team.
00:25Chandapal, known for playing his shots, he got out for eight off 23 balls.
00:30Outstanding catching.
00:31Twelve runs later, Campbell was gone for 14 of the bowling of Chadasia, 24 for two.
00:36Very easy, very simple.
00:38Alec Athanese was making it look easy with his patience and concentration.
00:4430-year-old Brandon King, often used as an opener in the shorter format, came in at four.
00:50Will he pass his batting average of 18 in the four matches he's played for the West Indies in Test cricket?
00:55He made five, 34 for three.
00:58Get some spin from the straight.
01:00And a 34 for four as Ruston Chase got stuck on whether to come forward or go back.
01:06Embarrassing dismissal nonetheless for the captain.
01:10She hopes to stay at the crease was crucial for the Indies.
01:14He instead made Dadeja's figures look impressive for a test match as he takes his third wicket 46 for five.
01:20He's a short one.
01:22Credit to Athanese and Greaves.
01:24That reverse sweep was working against India's field placements.
01:28There was always the threat, though, that India would get the breakthrough despite Athanese cruising along to a top score of 38.
01:35However, it was not India's persistence that paid off, but rather Athanese's lapse in concentration, gone with the score on 92.
01:44His exit looked like the end of the match for the Indies.
01:47Greaves was removed LBW by Mohamed Siraj for 25.
01:51Did Jamel Warricon forget that they were still trailing by 188 runs?
01:58Maybe losing his bat would make the runs go away.
02:01They've got him no runs.
02:03A comedy of errors.
02:05The Indies' second best partnership came from Pierre's partnership with Johan Lane and Jaden Seals.
02:11Their partnerships included 24 runs each.
02:15Seals the last wicket to fall for 22.
02:18Pierre not out on 13 on debut.
02:19West Indies lose by an innings and 140 runs.
02:25They've got two extra days to think about their approach for the second test on October 10th.
