We went out into Manchester to ask people on the street about whether they are guilty of allowing their cars to be driven for a little too long before fixing their MOT advisories.

00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Hewson-Betz and today I'm going down onto the streets of Manchester to ask people about MOTs.
00:06Particularly, do they get their advisories fixed straight away?
00:10One in six people who have their MOT and ignore their advisories break down fairly soon after having their MOT.
00:16We want to know if people get them fixed straight away or whether they are one of those who are guilty of sometimes delaying a bit too long.
00:22If I'm still getting from A to B, what's the issue?
00:26If I had the money on me, I probably would just get it done there and then.
00:32If it was anything like brakes or tyres, it would probably get fixed.
00:37Anything else, probably not, no.
00:42I drive my car with the engine light on, service light on, every issue wrong with it.
00:48And I just keep going until it will break down, until I get to my MOT, but I've never gone past an MOT.
00:54So that's illegal, I believe.
00:57You're possible to be able to get the happenings in the future of being a CO.
01:00And then there will be a shortage of people trying to buy a fly in the future.
01:03That's illegal.
01:05I'm still looking for it.
01:06I'm looking at you Pier
