00:05after an electrical cable leading to the meter base of the building caught fire.
00:10Residents mobilized and were able to use sand to extinguish the blaze
00:14before it spread to the other apartments.
00:16However, some electrical infrastructure was said to be damaged,
00:19resulting in TNTech removing 12 meters.
00:22An affected resident contacted the TV6 newsroom around 2 o'clock this afternoon.
00:27At 9.30 a.m., the resident of Beverly Hills, Laventil, noticed smoke coming out from the meter base on Building 10.
00:34With a blink of an eye, a fire started.
00:37Residents quickly chose on and the main electricity is deprived of it under control.
00:41TNTech was contacted. All 12 meters was removed immediately.
00:45The manager and supervisor from AGC was contacted, and no one asked him to resolve the problem.
00:51We have elderly people living in the building, and we have kids to go to school.
00:54We have babies, you understand, and up to now nobody has come to Beverly Hills to walk to the final.

01:03So that's with the CRS waiting, basically, on somebody to come to talk to you to find out what is going on.
01:08However, sometime after 5 this evening, HTC confirmed that technical and maintenance teams
01:14were dispatched to assess the damage later on in the day, and replacement works are currently underway.
01:19The HTC cell's full replacement of the cable is expected to be completed by Thursday, June 5,
01:26and restoration of electricity to Building 10 is expected shortly thereafter.
01:31The corporation is giving an assurance that updates will be provided to the residents
01:35should the date of completion change.
