00:00Good afternoon. Well, it has been another slow start in places with low cloud that's coming
00:05from the North Sea and slowly breaking up. So this is the latest satellite at time of
00:11recording and you can see all this low cloud drifting from into the North Sea and further
00:16inland. So Huggin Coast, northeastern England into East Anglia and the far south and east
00:22out towards the west. That's where we've got plenty of sunshine through this morning.
00:27Now, as we go into the afternoon, that low cloud will eventually lift and break. It
00:31could be a bit stubborn to clear in places for the likes of the east of the Midlands and
00:36towards the far southeast before retreating back to the coast across eastern parts. Elsewhere,
00:43further out towards the west, plenty of lengthy sunny spells, but you'll just notice a few
00:48showers bubbling up across the southern parts of Scotland. Otherwise, it's still going to
00:54be feeling warm in that sunshine out towards the west, highs of 23, possibly 24 degrees.
01:00But again, where we've got this north and northeasterly wind coming down from the cool North
01:06Sea, it's always going to be feeling chilliest across the eastern coasts. So as we go through
01:13Sunday evening, those showers that I mentioned across the southern parts of Scotland will drift
01:18their way further southwards, affecting parts of Wales as we go overnight. Out towards the west,
01:24that's where we hold on to the lengthiest, clear skies. May even have some mist and fog patches
01:29towards Devon and Cornwall on Monday morning. But otherwise, as the land cools, we'll see further
01:35spells of low cloud moving in. It's going to be thick enough in places for some patchy drizzle too.
01:41Otherwise, temperatures generally holding up underneath the blanket of cloud might turn a little bit chilly
01:46in rural spots further out towards the west. So that leaves a pretty messy picture to start
01:53Monday morning. There'll be some showers first thing across parts of Wales and northern areas
01:58too. But otherwise, across northern Ireland, southern parts of Scotland, northern England,
02:02we'll have more in the way of cloud and some showers developing as we go into the afternoon.
02:08Again, still some low cloud hugging some coastal areas in the east. Best of the sunshine now coming
02:14in towards the far south east of England. And here, that's where we'll see the highest temperatures
02:20on Monday, 21, possibly 22 degrees. But out towards the west, temperatures just a touchdown
02:27on recent days, given that we have more in the way of cloud and those showers breaking out.
02:33So as we go through Monday evening, again, we'll see the swirl of showers. Some of these still could be
02:39on the heavy side, perhaps even with the odd rumble of thunder. But they generally ease as they move
02:43into Northern Ireland. Then we see the return of some low cloud across North Sea coast, but elsewhere
02:50generally staying dry. Now, as we go into Tuesday and Wednesday, there is the chance of further showers
02:56that could be heavy and thundery. Thursday, generally drier, but a little bit cooler. Make sure to hit
03:01subscribe so you don't miss any updates on any of that. And I'll see you very soon. Bye bye.
