00:00Hello there, good afternoon.
00:02A brighter day ahead for many, though a chance some of us could see some thundery showers
00:06tomorrow.
00:07This afternoon, though, plenty of sunny spells to go around.
00:11That's away from the north-west, though, some thicker areas of cloud moving through
00:14here, possibly even some light outbreaks of rain pushing into western Scotland.
00:18Any rain, though, should be clearing away from Northern Ireland, so a brighter afternoon
00:22here.
00:23And for many across England and Wales, it should be a dry end to the day.
00:26Some sunny spells particularly breaking through across Wales, parts of the south-west, as
00:30we head later into the afternoon, and it is going to be feeling rather warm.
00:34Highs reaching around 25 degrees Celsius across the south, but even in northern areas, many
00:39towns and cities pushing into the low 20s.
00:42Now, it should be a dry evening for many.
00:45Once again, still plenty of clouds, some outbreaks of rain pushing eastwards across parts of Scotland.
00:49Then it's all eyes further south, this area of clouds, some showerier outbreaks pushing
00:54into parts of Wales and central parts of England by the morning, so it could be a damp start
00:59for some of us.
01:00But many areas once again remaining dry, but it is going to be a rather warm, muggy night
01:04once again.
01:05Some towns and cities across southern parts not pushing much past 16 to 17, possibly even
01:1018 degrees across southern parts of Wales.
01:14So a mild, muggy start to the day.
01:17And then all eyes across the south, some showery outbreaks here, and these possibly turning
01:22quite heavy as we head into the afternoon.
01:25And there is a good chance that we could start to see some thunderstorms, so some frequent
01:29lightnings, some hail, and also some gusty winds possible, and there has been a Met Office
01:33warning issued across southern and south-eastern parts.
01:36So keep an eye on across our social media channels on our website for any details on those.
01:41Also a chance of some showers across eastern parts of Scotland, north-eastern parts of England
01:45by the afternoon, but elsewhere once again plenty of sunny spells.
01:50Feeling warm, still quite muggy, particularly across the south once again, highs reaching
01:5425 degrees Celsius.
01:58Now we could start to see some thundery showers linger on, particularly across the southeast
02:01later into the afternoon, before it eventually clears away.
02:05Still some showery outbreaks too along eastern coast, and starting to see some isolated showers
02:09push into the northwest.
02:11These eventually easing away there, a ridge of high pressure building across the west.
02:15And that leads to a rather fine day on Friday, and for the beginning of the weekend.
02:20But draw your eyes towards Iceland, there's still some frontal systems waiting in the wings
02:24as we head later into Sunday.
