00:08dancehall star Vibes Cartel says he will be performing at the One Caribbean Music Festival on May 31st.
00:16Cartel, whose real name is Adija Palmer, took to social media saying he has no issue with the government or its restrictions,
00:23and they have nothing to do with his scheduled performance.
00:26Since news broke on Thursday about the government's immigration order which curtails his itinerary,
00:33including a radio interview, TV interview and local press droppings,
00:37angry fans encouraged the dancehall artiste to cancel his performance.
00:41On the other hand, the government's decision did gain some support,
00:45and the artiste is agreeing with that decision, saying it's the promoter's fault to include additional activities in his itinerary.
00:52There is no problem with Vibes Cartel performing in Shumida.
00:57You know what I mean? The permits, the necessary permits are granted.
01:01The problem lies in where the promoter took it upon himself and tried to fill Vibes Cartel's itinerary
01:08with things that had nothing to do with Vibes Cartel's performance.
01:12And rightfully so, the defence minister pulled the plug on that part of the itinerary.
