Vybz Kartel, the world boss of dancehall- was recently released from jail and is set to perform in Trinidad on Carnival Friday, in what is being dubbed 'The One Caribbean Music Festival'. The concert has been met with oppositon in some quarters- as some stakeholders and citizens believe that Carnival should only promote Soca, chutney and calypso music.

The concert has sparked a firestorm of debate as many believe it will take away from the Soca Monarch competition which returns on Carnival Friday, as well as other events.

Today, TV6's Mark Bassant caught up with Vybz Kartel at the Angostura Launch of Kartel's new run Str8(Straight Vybz) and asked about the rationale for having the concert on Carnival Friday.
