The 10th edition of the Kick It with Karyn football tournament is set to take place next weekend.

The competition which is hosted by National Women's Football Captain Karyn Forbes puts football in focus and she expects a bigger and better tournament as its shifts to Shaw Park..

00:00Ten years of kicking it with Karen in Tobago.
00:03It's a landmark that the organizer, National Women's Football Captain Karen Forbes, is proud of.
00:09For this edition, she explained that there's been a few changes which she hopes will improve the quality of the competition.
00:15They are looking at a new venue as well.
00:18I think the venue definitely for sure will have more room.
00:22We have more coverage in terms of, you know, not having to use too much tents.
00:28I think facilities, the toilet, the media setup, we have a VIP section this year.
00:36It's expected to be a packed two-day event at Shore Park Recreation Ground.
00:42So the first day will be the 24th of May, which is next weekend, that's Saturday.
00:47And then the second day is the 25th of May, which is Sunday.
00:51So it's a two-day competition and it will be held at the Shore Park Recreation Ground, start time 9 a.m.
00:57So kids will be on the first day, which we will have U9, U11, U13, and U15s.
01:04And then on the second day, we will have U13 girls, U15 girls, female open, and men alumni.
01:10She added that no team necessarily holds the title of favorites, but she is expecting top-quality football.
01:17We have some new faces coming in.
01:18I've never really heard of some of those academies, but it's going to be interesting to see because it will, you know, more or less, people like to say,
01:27Tobago and Trinidad.
01:28I don't necessarily see it like that.
01:30I just feel like, you know, it's a competition.
01:32It's going to be competitive.
01:34You're not going to just win easily.
01:35And coaches get to see whatever they rehearse to see if they're working and what level they need to rise at.
01:42Forbes also thanked her sponsors for once again making the event possible and encouraged fans to turn up in their numbers to support the game.
