Even though defending champions Central Sports have one hand on this year's Two-Day trophy, captain Imran Khan is taking nothing for granted when they take on Marchin Patriots this weekend in Felicity.

It's the last round of matches, with Central on 160 points, while Marchin Patriots are next on 139.

Vinod Narwani and cameraman Brandon Benoit met with the side during today's training session at their home ground.

00:01Central Sports are close to retaining their TTCB two-day Premier League title.
00:05Their opponents are marching Patriots, with a game taking place at the Invaders Recreation Ground in Felicity.
00:10Even though Central Sports require just a handful of points, team captain Imran Khan is not prepared to celebrate prematurely.
00:17Yeah, it's been a lot of hard work during the season.
00:20As you said, cricket is a funny game. We're not celebrating yet.
00:24You know, have another game coming up weekend. It's an important one, you know, one playing two.
00:30I mean, we need about five to six points to secure the title, but I'm not taking anyone for granted.
00:35As you said, recently, cricket is a funny game.
00:37So, just one game at a time, and then hopefully we come out victorious.
00:42Khan has utmost respect for marching Patriots, who are in second position.
00:46After all, Central Sports missed out on the TTCB treble last year after losing the 50-over title to the same opponents.
00:53Yeah, I mean, credit to them as well, you know, for the past couple of years, you know, they've been consistent in this form, in this tournament.
01:00You know, they're one of the better teams as well, too.
01:02So, they've been playing really good cricket as well.
01:04You know, as I said, credit to them.
01:05But, you know, the game is played on every day, so, you know, we take one day at a time.
01:09And, you know, I'm sure it will be a good entertaining game, you know, once weather permitting as well, too.
01:14Batsman Jesse Bhutan is pleased to have recently returned to the side after being involved in a vehicular crash.
01:19He's in good spirits and looking forward to the all-important weekend clash.
01:24Definitely ready for the final game.
01:26It's a showdown that Central Sports always looks forward to.
01:30Yeah, after the first game, I had a little bit of an accident to deal with.
01:33I recovered well, some minor injuries, thank God.
01:36My two days so far has been a bit lean.
01:37Probably my leanest season so far, but I'm in a good batting frame of mine ever since.
01:42So, it's just a matter of riding through the hard times and then waiting for those runs to start flowing.
01:47While manager Richard Ramkissu may finally be at peace now, things weren't hunky-dory when the season bowled off in 2025.
01:54But he's grateful that the team's think tank and players have been able to make things happen.
01:59Well, you know, this year was a difficult year for us because a number of players were in and out of the team,
02:05whether it was national duties or injury.
02:07So, we found it very difficult, but we will be able to manipulate the resources that we have
02:14and try to encourage younger players to focus and be disciplined and come out and try to, you know what I mean,
02:21perform to their best of their ability.
02:23God has blessed us this year in that even though we faced all those challenges,
02:27we were able to, you know, overcome all those obstacles and really do excellent this year.
02:34Central Sports are 21 points ahead of March in Patriots,
02:38which means only a miracle can help the latter dethrone the reigning two-day champions.
02:43Vinod now on the Chiefs export.
