00:00All right, we're talking about our 7-15 second date update between Derek and Brooke.
00:03Now, they say you have to make a good first impression.
00:07There was a lot of first impressions on this date.
00:09I loved Derek's idea, and I don't understand why Brooke didn't want to go back out with him,
00:15because I think the majority of us would think this guy's a ton of fun.
00:18A lot of ladies backed him up and said, I would be down for this guy.
00:21Leave a comment, let us know what you think.
00:23You're going to laugh.
00:24Well, Derek took his date to the zoo, which we thought was a great idea.
00:27But now, he has not heard anything since the zoo, so we're trying to figure this out.
00:31I love this idea.
00:33He said they wanted to do something different.
00:35She loved the date.
00:36He goes, I don't know what happened.
00:37Well, good news.
00:38We have Brooke on the phone with us.
00:40She is on hold.
00:41We're going to bring her back on.
00:42Brooke.
00:43Hello.
00:44Yeah, hey.
00:44Hey, Brooke.
00:45I know you talked to Kevin off the air.
00:46He said you were cool with talking to us on the air, so I appreciate that so much.
00:50Well, we'll get right to it.
00:51We heard from Derek.
00:53He said you guys had a date at the zoo.
00:55Sounded great.
00:56As Kevin told you off the air, he really wants to see you again.
00:59We're just looking for answers.
01:01So, give it to us straight.
01:02What's going on?
01:03Why have you not gotten back to Derek?
01:05Honestly, Derek is a little bit too much of a nerd, I guess, is how I would describe it.
01:14Maybe a little immature for me.
01:16Oh, hold on, hold on, Brooke.
01:18It's a little harsh, coming out saying he's immature and a nerd.
01:21Why is that?
01:21I just, his behavior on the date was not what I expected.
01:27And so, I'm just kind of, I'm all set.
01:31What was his behavior like?
01:34So, I don't know what he told you, but we went to the zoo, okay?
01:39And every exhibit that we went to, like every animal we walked up to, he was making absurd animal noises.
01:50Like, becoming an animal in front of me for the animals, for me, for the crowd.
01:57I don't know, because people were staring, but he, like, for example, we went to the monkey cage, and he starts, like, making all these monkey noises and, like, tickling under his armpits.
02:09And, like, it was insane.
02:12It's a good visual, right?
02:13It's a classic monkey move right there, yeah.
02:16So, what was he trying to do, get their attention?
02:19Yes, he was trying to get the monkey's attention, but also my, like, I think he thought, I would think this is funny, but I didn't.
02:27And it wasn't just the monkey's.
02:29We went up to the tiger cage, and he's like, here, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, roar.
02:34Like, weird.
02:37It was weird.
02:38He had turkey coals.
02:41The people were staring.
02:43What did he do around the monkey cage?
02:44Just out of curiosity.
02:46CR.
02:46I told you, he behaved like a monkey, like a physical transformation.
02:52Yeah, like, what do you mean, though?
02:53Like, just an example.
02:56He was, like, whoop-a-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
02:59Like, he was, like, hyperventilating as a monkey.
03:03I love it.
03:04I got no problem with this whatsoever.
03:06So, you just were a little embarrassed, Brooke.
03:09Not a little, a lot.
03:11Well, here's the deal.
03:12Um, Brooke, we actually have, uh, uh, the, uh, monkey impersonator, aka, uh, Derek, on, uh, the phone with us as well.
03:19And I want to bring him back on, because I think this is phenomenal.
03:22I'm sorry that you were embarrassed, but, Derek.
03:25Yeah.
03:26Way to go, man.
03:28Wait.
03:29So, I gotta say, like, first off, it, I didn't, I wasn't making noises at the monkey cage.
03:35It was the chimpanzee cage, and they don't make, like, a low, like, sound.
03:39All right.
03:40Mark that on the record.
03:41They go, like, it's a different kind of sound.
03:46And, you know, I, I just want to make sure, just in case there's any, you know, zoo enthusiasts out there, I'm not, I'm not throwing out the wrong sounds for the wrong animal.
03:54Yeah.
03:55Now I got it, Brooke.
03:56That was awesome, really.
03:57Yeah, great.
03:57Brooke, I get it now.
03:58Sorry.
03:59Yeah, Derek, I don't think we were concerned about what type of animal you were doing the sounds for.
04:04It was the fact that you were defending the fact that you did sound.
04:08But you laughed.
04:09Right.
04:10I was laughing at you, not me.
04:11Like, with that whole crowd of people, everybody was giggling at me.
04:14Brooke, if it was, like, one time, it would have been okay, but the fact that he was doing this over and over and over, that's kind of where we're at with this?
04:21Yeah.
04:22Every single animal.
04:24It was every single exhibit.
04:25It was a lot.
04:27What would you say was his best impression, though, of the animal, Brooke?
04:30No, hold on.
04:30No, real question, though.
04:31No, hold on.
04:32Nice.
04:33Real question, though, Derek.
04:34You know, it sounds like you're very knowledgeable in this area, and obviously you've studied their calls.
04:38So this is a real passion for you.
04:40Yeah.
04:41I mean, I love animals.
04:43You know, did you know that, like, wolves only, like, imitate the sounds that they love hearing?
04:49So when those, like, ambulance alarms go by and they're howling, it's because they actually kind of like the sound.
04:55Oh, a car line fun fact, huh?
04:57For tomorrow.
04:58Isn't that cool?
04:59I like that.
05:00It was just embarrassing for me, and if you don't see any problem with what you were doing, I just, there was no future for us, so.
05:11It's not like we were at the opera or something.
05:13I wasn't trying to, like, sing along at the opera.
05:15Oh, sure.
05:16What if we toned it back a little bit and let's stay away from the zoo, maybe on another date, and just had, like, a normal dinner date, and you guys had conversations about things other than animals.
05:27Would you be willing to do that, Derek?
05:28I don't know, honestly, if Brooke's going to be a stick in the mud, I don't know if that's going to work out in the long run.
05:36I like to make people laugh, and, you know, I didn't realize there was something wrong with being a nerd these days.
05:42Geez.
05:43Can you do a wolf sound for us?
05:46They actually sometimes do, like, a little more like a yuk, like a yuk, yuk, yuk, and then, and then, of course, like, when they get really into it, they're, they go all over the place.
06:03Well done.
06:04Well, Brooke, here's the question.
06:06Would you want to hear more of that, maybe on another date?
06:09No, I've heard enough for a lifetime, so I'm all set.
06:13Well, Derek, I think you're a very talented individual.
06:15I think you're very knowledgeable.
06:16I appreciate you being true to yourself and just saying, hey, this is me, Brooke.
06:20Thank you for your time this morning, and I wish you both luck, okay?
06:24Okay, thanks.
06:25All right.
06:26For us, that got away from who cares if they went on another date.
06:29I just kind of wanted to hear more of the sound.
06:31I know.
06:31We got to keep that guy's number when we need animal noises.
06:34But I feel like he was fun.
06:35Yeah, absolutely, he'd be fine.
06:37Kevin, you do a killer.
06:38Elephant one.
06:43All right.
06:44What did you think about the second date update?
06:46Would that have been a deal breaker for you, or would you have thought that was fun?
06:48I remember it happened at every exhibit, all right?
06:51So 800-992-1099, 800-992-1099.
06:55Hit us up.
