00:00Opposition leader Kamala Prasad Bisesa is refuting allegations being levelled against
00:05her party, the UNC, by Prime Minister Stuart Young on Saturday.
00:09In a statement to TV6 News, Prasad Bisesa called the video being referenced fake and
00:14accused the PNM, not the UNC, of using artificial intelligence to manufacture lies, distort
00:20the truth and spread propaganda in a desperate bid to retain power.
00:24Prasad Bisesa in a statement says, quote, let me be clear, that clip is fake and speaks
00:30to the PNM campaign in Tobago, quote, they are trying to tie Farley to the UNC so they
00:35can use the racist Calcutta ship strategy that they have used for years, end quote.
00:40She then urged the public not to forget that it is the PNM that has a well-documented history
00:46of putting social media influencers on government payroll and who have always relied on handouts
00:52and bribes to manipulate the population and now is pushing fake AI-generated content.
00:58Drawing a parallel to the email gate scandal, Prasad Bisesa said the PNM continues to rely
01:03on lies and deceit, accusing them of using the same playbook of racism, fear and hate
01:09every election cycle.
01:11Prasad Bisesa reminded citizens, Prime Minister Young was not chosen by the people but was
01:16imposed on the nation.
01:18According to Prasad Bisesa, Young is holding on to power through lies, AI-generated smears
01:24and a divisive campaign designed to distract the population.
