PNM member Keigon Denoon is clearing the air on word that he has crossed the floor into the camp of the Tobago People's Party.

We questioned Mr. Denoon on the matter and Elizabeth Williams has this report.

Transcript
00:00Let me thank you for the opportunity to clear the air.
00:03And I am always grateful that you are one who seeks truth and does not go based on ESA.
00:10At this time, I have not resigned from the People's National Movement, nor am I a member of the Tobago People's Party.
00:17I think that is as clear as it can get.
00:18Mr. Dinun, however, when questioned further by this reporter, confirmed he has been approached by members of the TPP to join the party.
00:28Mr. Dinun has been a long-standing member of the PNM.
00:32It is not my fault that people would see value in the work that I am doing.
00:36And of course, people from the opposite party have approached me, recognizing the work that I have been doing and seeing value in the work that I have done.
00:44And they have indicated that if I should desire, the opportunity is available for me to serve under the Tobago People's Party.
00:54As for his political future?
00:56I would inform the entire Tobago of those decisions because I believe it's the right thing to do.
01:04In terms of principle and integrity, the thing is, Liz, what can I say?
01:12Tobago is an environment where rumors spread faster than the truth.
01:17What I have seen over the past couple of weeks is people speculating, having their own conversations, and not going based on the facts.
01:25He said Tobago must always win.
01:28It's always good when people see value in you, but at the end of the day, you have to know what you stand for.
01:34And in the end, my thing is that Tobago must always win.
01:38Both political parties have their strengths and weaknesses, and that is a fact.
01:42But in the end of the day, what is most important to me is Tobago's development, community development, and youth development.
01:49And that is what I would continue to do.
01:51I would continue to put in the work, regardless of political season.
01:55When the nine days has passed, after this conversation, as you would know, I would still be on the ground working, because it doesn't take an office for me to serve.
02:03Word has been circulating that Mr. De Noon is being looked at for the Buku-Mount Pleasant seat, one of two seats the TPP is again deliberating on for the upcoming THA election.
02:16The other, Mason Hall-Mariah.
02:18Screening of candidates continued on Tuesday.
