00:00The opposition leader, being highly critical of Dr. Raoli, calls him the only prime minister
00:05in the country's history who she claims has not made a single tangible achievement during
00:10his tenure.
00:11Kamala Prasad Bisesta says Dr. Raoli persisted in dealings with the Maduro regime and local
00:17business interests connected to the Venezuelan government, and she says U.S. authorities
00:22are already taking action against individuals and entities that have collaborated with the
00:28Maduro regime.
00:30Attempting to list the prime minister's failures, the opposition leader says over the past 10
00:34years, Dr. Raoli and his ministers have failed to diversify the economy even as energy sector
00:40production steadily declined and idle industrial plants created a rust belt.
00:46Kamala Prasad Bisesta says Dr. Raoli turned Trinidad and Tobago from the Caribbean's greatest
00:51beneficiary of direct foreign investment into the only country in the region with a net
00:57outflow of investors.
00:59And additionally, Prasad Bisesta accuses him of destroying the independence of virtually
01:04every independent institution, mismanaged the state sector, ruined the nation's image
01:09internationally, and oversaw a regression in societal harmony.
01:14The opposition leader says the immediate goal must be to move past his tenure, and the first
01:19measure must be to summon the nation to a general election.
