00:00Political leader of the Patriotic Front, Michaela Pandey says people in this
00:05country don't believe their plights are being heard or their concerns addressed.
00:10She says it's time for change. I mean let's be honest the PRM have been there
00:17for 10 years and for Mr. Young or anybody else within that government to
00:23say that they have now realized what the problems are and he was part of a
00:26government for 10 years that did nothing. The Patriotic Front leader says
00:32people are still complaining about lacking basic necessities like food and
00:37water. When asked if she believes she has done enough to make a dent in the
00:42political landscape, she said this. I think I've done enough to win. I don't look at making a dent. I'm wasting my time. If I'm just trying to make a dent, I'm in this to win, you know.
00:55Meanwhile, Marsha Walker, NTA candidate for Diego Martin West, tells the Morning
01:00Edition it appears the population is disenfranchised by the two main parties.
01:06She believes the National Transformation Alliance can make the difference. She
01:11says she does not need to convert PNM voters because Diego Martin West is not
01:17a PNM safe seat but rather it's a non-voting seat. Keith Rowley won with
01:2210,000 votes and that is I mean that is almost one of the highest numbers that
01:27the PNM gets in that area out of 29,000, near 30,000. So you're looking at 19,000
01:33odd plus voters that are available. PNM can keep their 10,000. I do not need
01:40those that are blindly loyal. They're not gonna switch. I mean what we need are the
01:4419,000. Nicole M Romney, TV6 News.
