Redemption road is looking like a steep incline for the West Indies.

After they fell 2-0 behind in the five-match T20 series against Australia Tuesday evening.

The West Indies flattered to deceive in the second match at Sabina Park.

Losing game two by eight wickets after the Aussies chased down 172 with almost five overs to spare, while sending Andre Russell off into the sunset with a defeat on home soil.

00:00It's the final time that this man will be representing the West Indies.
00:05The fans came out hoping for a West Indian win, but also to say farewell to their hero, Andrea Russell.
00:11And another Jamaican was laying the foundation as Brandon King was in his groove.
00:15Shea Hope was sedate while King was dealing almost exclusively in boundaries.
00:19That has been smashed.
00:22He would get to his half-century before Adam Zampa got him at 63 for one.
00:25From King and...
00:27Hope's lack of scoring would exacerbate things when he departed on the same score.
00:32It's a chance, it's a chance, and it's well taken.
00:36Glenn Maxwell struck once more, removing Shimon Hetmeier on 14.
00:39And just like that, the West Indies' fragility was on display.
00:43Spinn doing the trick as Zampa and Mitchell combined to take five of the first six battles.
00:47Wilford is going, and going straight to a fielder.
00:50Andrea Russell had one last chance to show why he was called Superman.
00:54He's on a mission this evening.
00:55And for a moment, it was vintage Dre Ross, as he sent the ball literally out of the park.
01:03His final knock would unfortunately end on 36, as the West Indies were struggling.
01:07He was brave underneath that.
01:11Inglis, oh, that wasn't easy.
01:13He says a prayer to the heavens there.
01:16That had ice on it as it came down.
01:19Very good, though, again, from Ellis.
01:22Yeah, very well bowled.
01:24They have one ninth in Ellis.
01:25Just have a look at this now.
01:28Nothing needs to be said.
01:29Look at the Australian players.
01:40Budakesh Moti chipped in with an unbeaten 18 of nine, as the host failed to improve, closing on 172 for eight.
01:47The pressure was on the host from the start to defend a below-par total.
01:51Maxwell hits this one even further.
01:53Maxwell hits this one even further.
01:53Four previously, six now.
01:56Questions, a whole lot of them.
01:59And Holder's early strike was what the West Indies needed at 12 for one.
02:03But Mitchell Marsh and Josh Ingles were unbothered.
02:06Just helped.
02:07So strong leg side.
02:09Even when Aldari Jose got the captain on 21, it felt the host were already behind the eight ball.
02:16The West Indies played their part in digging a deeper hole, as chance after chance was squandered.
02:22Even Drew Ross wasn't spared as Australia were punishing everything and everyone.
02:35The West Indies were already mentally defeated at this stage.
02:39Inglis and Green would both pummel unbeaten half-centuries.
02:58The West Indies lacked fight and conviction, as Australia's team rolled to an eight-wicked win to take a 2-0 series lead.
03:05As Andrew Russell signed off his international career with another defeat.
03:10Terence Clark, TV6 Sport.
