00:24It's really really good stuff about the 49er offseason and it starts out with John

00:30Addressing his quarterback. We have started negotiations. We're talking

00:34I won't go into negotiations like always is our stance

00:39want Brock to be our quarterback as long as we're here and

00:43And beyond and we'll leave it at that. I think the final thing there's no guarantees that we get something done, but

00:51My experience has been when both sides are motivated there's ample opportunity to do so and we've been able to do that

00:57So have you talked to Trent Williams recently and is he definitely playing football this year?

01:00He's playing and he's ready. I think he's really motivated to come back and you know when you're

01:09That's rarefied air with Trent lives in and when you're a player that has

01:14Experience playing at those heights. You don't want to play unless you're playing at those at that level

01:19And I think that's where Trent's at and I think we're gonna see a real motivated

01:24Trent Williams to come back and have a great year and that's a good thing for us

01:30It's doing great Christian's doing really well and

01:34you know, I think was real frustrated with the way last season went and

01:39Doing everything in as possible as he did in preparation for last year

01:43We're hoping CMC's out there gonna have a tremendous year if he's healthy. He will have a tremendous year

01:48That's just what he does

01:53You know, I think so I think at least parts of it, you know, we'll be judicious and follow

02:00You know the medical folks advice on that but Christians, you know, he's done a great job doing the rehab

02:07he's tireless if anything you always gotta you gotta say whoa to Christian and

02:12As my my friend Mike Tomlin it's a lot better to have to say whoa than it is to say sick

02:18I'm so Christian is a whoa guy and because he's gonna do everything possible to give himself a chance

02:24Is there a health update on Brandon? I you there was also a report from the combine that teams are poking around

02:30That typically happens with really good players I remember I think two years ago, you know having similar conversations

02:36you get calls and you always listen to calls and you know, we're I

02:40Think since Kyle and I've been here we've been

02:43You know certainly a top five. I believe number two cash spending team, you know in the last five years

02:49I think we're four years

02:51Going into the fourth year. I think we're the fourth highest cash spending team

02:55So we're at some point you have to reset a little bit or at least recalibrate

02:59You can't just keep pressing the pedal and I think there's some good that could come out and we need to get younger

03:04You know, I think we're the oldest team in football

03:07Trying to make a run at the deal last year and I think it's good to constantly get younger

03:12Our draft class last year was a great move towards that. We'll have four picks in the top 100

03:18If the comp picks happen like we see it, that's always a calculation

03:23You know

03:23We'll have ten picks overall and we're excited about adding more youth

03:28To a great core of players that we already have we asked you about Debo last month

03:32You said you not in the engine not interested in moving on from a good player since then he's requested a trade

03:36Yeah, the latest with him. Yeah

03:38You know still not interested grant but along those lines of the financial constraints and some conversations

03:45We've had with Debo. It's something, you know, we've been been forthright with that. Yeah, we're on good terms with Debo

03:50I think you know, he's asked for a fresh start and you know, I think we're gonna honor that

03:57Don't like seeing great players and he is a great player

04:00He's uh, you know, I think often one of my favorite draft picks in my time. He's this guy's just a

04:06he makes plays and he makes game-changing plays and

04:10You know

04:11Everything's good

04:12You know, but I think at some point time time happens and and he asked for that

04:20We don't always you know, there's contracts and things but you know, it probably makes sense

04:24So we're at least allowing him to look and we're having conversations. We'll see where that goes

04:29Is this the week that you expect to start getting maybe a little bit more clarity on green law?

04:34Funga just through their conversations as to whether or not you might be able to bring them back. Those guys are fantastic players

04:40of course, we have interest in bringing them back and

04:44You know

04:45We'll work our tails off to try to make that happen whether it does can't tell you that but I think in the near future here

04:52You know things are things are kicking off. So yeah, you know, we've been in contact with them and their representatives will continue to be

04:59part of a situation like

05:03What's the most challenging aspect

05:06Love, you know, there's a lot of love there. There's a lot of respect there

05:10There's a lot of shared experiences. So to let that go that's difficult. But like I said time happens and

05:19If it makes sense for both sides you you at least you at least give it a chance

05:23And so that's where we're at. Did he explain why he wanted to fresh start? Yeah, but I'm not those are personal conversations

05:29Like I said, everybody's on good terms

05:32Hopefully we find a great place

05:35Then we'll have to make a decision if we don't but there's I could say there's been a lot of interest around the league

05:44There's always I've learned that as well

05:46Yeah, you mentioned the possibility of bringing back your ball car great. Is that still a possibility in your eyes?

05:54It is but I would tell you I think that the d-tackle markets gonna be and those guys

05:59It's a premium position and they typically do well and even Joe Jay Vaughn who's coming off the tricep

06:07You know, I think he's he's well on his way to being healthy and we'll say I think it'd be a robust market

06:13But we'll see and we've had good discussions

06:16With J Vaughn, you know when when we kind of talked about the

06:22Transaction we were gonna make that. Yeah, we'd be interested in a scenario where he comes back and hopefully we can be involved in that

06:29We'll see

06:46One more time we're on that question

06:52Yes

07:03Yeah, you know the one thing I've learned in this deal is everything is tied to everything

07:07It's particularly when you're talking about a position like the quarterback position and and the effect it has on your entire team

07:13they can lift your entire team, but it can affect your entire team and

07:18You know, we'll see where that goes

07:20but you know, our intention is to have a really good team around and whatever that entails and

07:26But it but it does have an impact
