00:00With a second down and nine to McCaffrey from Jones, oh, he's got room to roam.
00:06Into the secondary, got by Belton, and then he comes back and Black combines on the stop.
00:12Catch and run, the 20 of the Giants, 39-yard catch and run by Christian McCaffrey with the hobbling Corey Black to the sideline.
00:21Now, back to Stiney and Guru on 95.7 The Game.
00:26All right, Kevin Harlan on the call there. 49ers win 34-24 against the Giants, and we welcome in Dan Diddley and Mark Willard.
00:34It is the crossover.
00:35Who cares if it were the Giants, right? After what we saw with Houston, you are 6-3.
00:40Who cares? Any week, ever, no matter who.
00:43Look around yesterday.
00:44Yeah, look around. Look around. I don't care who you're playing. W's in the NFL.
00:48Carolina beat Green Bay. Pittsburgh beat Indy.
00:51Tell me. Tell my survivor pool about it.
00:54Did you win in fantasy?
00:55Of course not.
00:57No.
00:58Oh, no.
00:59Why is it?
01:00Because it keeps growing. We all want it to pop.
01:03Exactly. No, no, no.
01:06Every week, I'm going to swing and miss just like your son in a gender reveal party.
01:10Oh, that was embarrassing, man. Come on, man.
01:13That hurt me.
01:14TCI changed it up a little bit.
01:15No, it was all good.
01:16It was on him, not you.
01:17Yeah.
01:18And that was a soft pitch.
01:19No, I thought your pitch was fine.
01:23And that's my, like, anybody who wants gender reveal suggestions, please don't bring a bat and a ball.
01:28Dim said a golf ball.
01:30Golf ball.
01:30Well, that might be more.
01:31It's better.
01:32I would prefer a tennis ball and a tennis racket.
01:35Like, let's not.
01:36Can we stop with the swing and miss?
01:38Yeah.
01:39Gender reveal parties.
01:39Yeah, he looked like a Blue Jay Saturday night.
01:42I gave myself a two.
01:43Damn.
01:43Yeah.
01:44Damn.
01:45What a game, huh?
01:46What a series.
01:47Was that incredible, D.M.S.?
01:48It was awesome.
01:49I was doing a banquet in Marin, the Marin Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame banquet.
01:54And so I'm doing the banquet.
01:55And, you know, you get into the first inductee, and he's doing a speech.
02:00And we told him three to five minutes.
02:01Oh, boy.
02:02And this guy's, like, well past ten minutes.
02:04And I'm the emcee.
02:05And I'm like, oh, my God.
02:07It's going to be a long night.
02:08And I look to my left at table one, and there's somebody watching the baseball game on his phone.
02:14So I'm like, all right, speaker number one.
02:16And I won't name.
02:17I will name check him Dan Munoz.
02:19I told you three to five minutes.
02:21And he went about 15.
02:23So now it's like, it's okay.
02:24Because we're watching the game.
02:26And it was, I mean, it was tied to that point.
02:29I don't even know.
02:29But I kept checking in on his phone.
02:32And did the Jays have the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth?
02:36Was that the ninth?
02:37Yes, they did.
02:38Yeah, it was the ninth.
02:39The bases loaded one out?
02:41Yeah.
02:41And then they, and Vars showed, that was a sharp ground ball.
02:44Yeah.
02:44And it looked like, what's his name?
02:46Who was over there?
02:47It's the same guy who hit the home run.
02:48Rojas.
02:49Rojas.
02:49Yeah.
02:50He looked like he was going to fall over.
02:51He did.
02:51He did.
02:52The ground ball was knocked him over.
02:53He wouldn't have been able to go back to L.A.
02:54And then he threw a seed to home plate and he beat him by a centimeter.
02:58Yeah, yeah.
02:59What a, I mean.
03:00When I was looking at Eric Burns' Instagram, and Burns was so hot.
03:04Saying he was safe?
03:05No, saying that the secondary lead that the runner took was unsatisfactory.
03:11Your lead should be the same distance that the third baseman is from the base.
03:14And he makes it easy.
03:15And Burns is like, he gave up about eight feet.
03:18And had he had the proper lead, he's safe.
03:22He scores.
03:22And so, I missed all this in real time, because I'm trying to like, you know, hey, waka waka.
03:27Dude, it was.
03:28Fun banquet.
03:28Well, and then the very next hitter hits a shot to left center.
03:32When you see the outfielders start running, you're like, one that just got subbed in the
03:37game.
03:38I'm screaming, oh, Canada.
03:40Like, that thing is over their heads.
03:43Oh, no, Canada.
03:43And then they run together.
03:45Kike Hernandez lays out, gets a knee in the belly.
03:48The other outfielders are like, boop.
03:50Hold on.
03:51I mean, it was just incredible theater.
03:53Yeah, man.
03:53Incredible theater.
03:56Baseball, they're in a good place, Donnie.
03:58They're in a good place.
04:00Screw them.
04:00Screw them.
04:01When we were doing the, you know, doing the show switch today, Shasky and Spadoni, is
04:08it true you're not giving the Dodgers credit?
04:11Who?
04:11You.
04:12I haven't said a word about this.
04:13For what?
04:14Well, that's what they meant.
04:15For back-to-back titles.
04:17I've not said one public word about it.
04:20Then they were mistaken, because they said, well, we're not giving him credit.
04:25And I said, is that official?
04:27He's not giving him credit.
04:28He's like, they're not going to give him credit.
04:29No, you don't bring him up.
04:30I don't give them credit for the bubble thing, or whatever they call that stupid Fakak to
04:3560 games.
04:36Texas.
04:36Yeah, but no.
04:38I was with my family over the weekend.
04:41I said nothing.
04:42I tweeted.
04:42I don't even have Twitter.
04:44I don't, like, I didn't go on Instagram.
04:46I went to a Halloween party that night.
04:48Well, Stoddy means you're not happy for a Dodger fan.
04:50Of course I'm not happy for the ball.
04:52There we go, Stoddy.
04:53We're going to be a Giants fan.
04:54Whoa, that was great.
04:55That was really fun.
04:56I mean, boy, you deserve it.
04:59Butch even said it was a great game, but you did too.
05:01It was a great series.
05:03Unbelievable series.
05:04Baseball deal.
05:05What's fun for me over a weekend like that, because it's Halloween weekend, and so there's
05:09parties everywhere, and you get, like, a group of people in front of a game, and some of
05:13them are really into sports, and some of them aren't.
05:15And the best way I've learned now, to really, really out who is a baseball fan and who's
05:21not, you look at a series like that, and when the games go into extra innings, if you're
05:26a baseball fan, you're like, this is incredible drama.
05:30And if you're not, your response is, are they still playing?
05:35I can't tell you how many people, both of these extra inning games, people are just like,
05:39if not over yet, and no one scored in the last two and a half hours, that's how you
05:46know you're not a baseball fan.
05:48There was one other thing involving you.
05:52Oh, boy.
05:53Not the fantasy.
05:54He already comped it at.
05:56No.
05:57And you and I are in quite a battle.
05:59I need Dallas to have a fan.
06:00He needs 24 points from Williams and Aubrey.
06:06I'm in a little bit of trouble.
06:07I need Dallas to not, like, do a lot tonight.
06:10I need this bad.
06:11Yeah.
06:11Okay, 24 from Javante Williams and Aubrey.
06:14And Brandon Aubrey.
06:15And you have no one?
06:17I got no one.
06:17You're, okay.
06:18And they're in the bank.
06:18They predicted me to win, whatever that's worth.
06:21Of course.
06:21It's 55-45, though.
06:22It's not like, yeah.
06:23No, like, after one drive, if Dallas goes three and out, you will be the underdog.
06:27But one run and a couple of CDs.
06:29I need four points from Jake Ferguson.
06:32That's it.
06:32Oh, you're going to win.
06:33No, differently.
06:34Differently.
06:34Oh, okay.
06:35I'm not winning in this league.
06:37Listen, will you just believe me for once?
06:39Will, I don't like it.
06:40I'm going 0-14.
06:42Actually, 0-13.
06:43And then I'm going to beat Dibbs week 14.
06:45That's my plan.
06:46And the plan is working.
06:48Well, the Niners are 6-3.
06:49Yes, they are.
06:50What do you do by tomorrow?
06:52Something.
06:53Yeah.
06:53Because you did something last week when you had my kill.
06:56Something bigger than that.
06:58Hendrickson.
06:59No.
06:59No.
07:00Who'd I write down, Dibbs?
07:02It's going to be Jermaine Johnson.
07:04Oh, look at him.
07:05He beat me through.
07:06Or Will McDonald.
07:07I like the Niners going to the Jets.
07:09It makes a lot of sense.
07:10No, they, yeah.
07:12They're done.
07:14Excuse me.
07:15Yeah.
07:16Sala knows all those guys.
07:18Right?
07:19Sala drafted some of them.
07:20Yeah.
07:20They're cheap.
07:22They're controlled through beyond this year.
07:26So, like, yeah, they're not going to, it's not going to be fancy.
07:29Yeah.
07:30I don't think it'll be the Jets.
07:31I spent some time over the weekend with a member of the Jets coaching staff.
07:34Oh, that's a hell of a draw.
07:36Well, and as bad as this season has been, A.G., Aaron Glenn, he's coming back.
07:42So, I don't know if they want to, you know, start trading away good players for a team that, you know, this year has been a disaster.
07:49Yes, but they want to come back next year and be better.
07:51So, no yard sale, you don't think, in New York?
07:53I don't think so at all.
07:54Yeah.
07:55And certainly not Quentin Williams.
07:57And that's where I was going.
07:58He's off the table.
07:58Okay.
07:59But even other players that the Jets also control, I don't see them looking to make those moves because you have a coaching staff that, okay, this year is a freebie.
08:08You're brand new and it's been a disaster and you've got quarterback issues.
08:12You have a lot of issues.
08:13I don't think that they're going to be a team looking to strip it down and build for two or three years down the road.
08:20They need to be good next year.
08:21Let's bring in Mark Grandy, who's got some 49ers news.
08:26Yeah, Kyle Shanahan is on his conference call right now talking with the media.
08:29He said a couple of things.
08:30First of all, as we already know, he confirmed Michael Williams tore his ACL.
08:34Also, his lateral meniscus.
08:37So, his season is officially over.
08:39Shanahan did say Bryce Huff is expected back this week against the Rams.
08:42So, you lose one edge rusher, you get one back in Bryce Huff.
08:46Jake Brendel has a chance to return this week.
08:48Starting center for the Niners.
08:49Hasn't played in a couple of weeks.
08:51Brandon Ayuk's practice window will be opened this week as well, meaning he has three weeks to be activated.
08:58And then he was asked, essentially, if Mac Jones' good play of late would put into question whether or not Brock Brady would play when he's ready to play.
09:08He said, no, this is Brock's team.
09:09David Lombardi is saying that Brandon Ayuk's practice window will not open this week.
09:16Oh, we've got conflicting reports then.
09:18I'll double check.
09:19No, no, no.
09:19So, not questioning you.
09:21I'm not hearing anything.
09:21I'm just seeing that on Twitter.
09:24No open practice window for Ayuk this week, says David.
09:26But no controversy in regard to Mac and Brock.
09:29Of course not.
09:30And I got that when they gave him the bag.
09:32I get it.
09:32Yeah.
09:33I mean, listen.
09:36I mean.
09:36It's tough, man.
09:37And Mac played great yesterday.
09:38Oh, yeah.
09:39He's fine.
09:39He played great yesterday.
09:40But he hasn't been Joe Montana throughout the whole thing.
09:43And I'm not dissing him at all.
09:44That Arizona game wasn't the best version of Mac.
09:47You know?
09:47And they wanted.
09:48So.
09:48They're going to get different versions every week of all of the players.
09:53You know what I mean?
09:53He's scoring 50 a game, I guess.
09:55I don't know what it would take for something like that to happen, where you make someone
10:06your long-term franchise quarterback, and then he plays two football games.
10:10One of them's a road win at Seattle.
10:12And then after that, you lose a close game.
10:15And apparently the worst fumble that we've ever seen in the history of mankind and creation
10:18happened or something.
10:19And now, like, now you're going to bench that guy.
10:24Like, I get it.
10:26Hot hand kind of a thing.
10:28I understand.
10:28Because you didn't mention that a couple weeks ago.
10:29I really understand.
10:31Like, Mac has done a great job of getting a lot of confidence in him.
10:35But Kyle sounds like, yeah, to hell with that.
10:37You understand what the trickle-down effect is in an organization if you do something like
10:41that?
10:42If you, like, that's a really.
10:44But if the turf toe was the culprit of why you did that, we're just looking out for
10:49you, couldn't we hide behind that?
10:51Willard just, man, that damn.
10:53We got you.
10:54Well, but it's not forever.
10:55Like, when he.
10:56How long do you use that?
10:58Forever?
10:59Like, is he just not going to play until next year now?
11:02I guess what I'm saying is if Purdy comes back and we see.
11:04Let's just say, I'm not being negative, but two bad starts.
11:07How many of these phones would blow up?
11:09Sure.
11:09Oh, it's the foot.
11:10Sure.
11:11And do you think Kyle, he can give a.
11:13He's trying to win a game.
11:14But I'm just.
11:14Maybe you could keep yourself from that by riding a hot hand.
11:17I guess those are all hypotheticals, though, right?
11:19Totally.
11:19And so you got to live with what you know now.
11:22And yeah, I don't think anybody's been lying to anybody.
11:26It's Brock Purdy's team.
11:27Nothing changes that.
11:29This is awesome that Mac Jones has kept their season afloat.
11:33How the hell did.
11:34How would you guys answer that?
11:35How are they six and three?
11:38Can you give me a sec?
11:40Yeah.
11:40You're listening to 95.7 The Game, KGMZ FM and HD1 San Francisco and Odyssey Sports Station.
11:46Always live on the free Odyssey app and now broadcasting from the Laughing Monk Studios.
11:50I think that they got two unexpected wins on the road.
11:58One was on the last, what was the last play of the game when Purdy hit the guy in Seattle.
12:04And then the Rams game, they just, they played a great game and they took advantage of a couple Rams miscues.
12:14And then they've won the games they should have won.
12:16But I do think the whole key to the season so far has been Seattle and the Rams.
12:24Right?
12:24What do you mean?
12:25The wins over those teams.
12:27Oh, yeah.
12:27I mean, that's, like, my gosh.
12:30And the rest of the teams, they're winning at a, what, three and two?
12:33I can't do the math.
12:35But, you know, they're four and three.
12:36Yeah.
12:36And the other seven.
12:37And if you want to go to Seattle, forget the Tonjes play.
12:40And I'm looking at my notes right here.
12:42Seattle has second and four from the eight.
12:46And Bosa knocks the ball out.
12:48And Bosa recovers the fumble.
12:50And then you go to the L.A. game when it's, what, second or third and goal.
12:54And Williams is going in and Alfred Collins comes in and punches it out.
12:58And you get that ball back as well.
13:00So, those two plays prevented game-changing touchdowns for the other team.
13:05And that's where you get from six and three to four and five.
13:08But if we want to be honest, I think those version of the Niners,
13:12those games should have been out of hand.
13:14The Rams should have won that game going away.
13:17And to answer your question real quick here,
13:19I look at the Warriors' offense,
13:21and I think they play the only style of that offense to me.
13:24That's just me, and it looks different.
13:26And I feel like you've got to be smarter to play in that offense.
13:29That just don't work every time.
13:30But the Niners truly know, because of their coach,
13:33who they are and what they want to do
13:35and how they plan to attack.
13:37That Kyle has his guys in position to do that more often than not.
13:42And then defensively, Salah said, let me join in.
13:45I don't need big names.
13:47I would like them.
13:47But if guys drop, I know what I'm trying to do as well.
13:51And that's why they're six and three.
13:53A lot to do, not overlooking the players, but the coaching.
13:56Obviously, there's no one answer,
13:58but I wonder which one stands out the most to people.
14:00Like, what if I made that a multiple-choice question?
14:03What's the biggest reason that the Niners are six and three this year?
14:07Mack Jones, Christian McCaffrey's health,
14:10Kyle Shanahan, Robert Salah.
14:12I'm going Kyle and Salah, guys.
14:17I don't know that I said you could pick two.
14:20Oh, well, I'm with Kyle.
14:21I know you're having twins.
14:23You can't just pick two.
14:24Kyle.
14:25I'd say Mack, just to not agree with Goo.
14:27Okay.
14:28But I do think it's Kyle.
14:30I'd say Kyle.
14:31What would you say?
14:32It's McCaffrey, and it's not even close.
14:35He's having an historic year,
14:37and he might be thousand-thousand again.
14:40When all things are said and done,
14:42and when he does what he did yesterday,
14:44when they can run the ball,
14:46and he's a threat in the past game as well,
14:48and he's been healthy,
14:49then all of a sudden you don't need Pearsall or Iyuk.
14:53They have no wide receiver.
14:55They've got Kendrick Bourne off the scrap heap.
14:57They've got third and Jawan.
14:59They've got George Kittle, kind of.
15:01And all the praise you can give Mack Jones yesterday, great.
15:05Mack Jones was dink and dunk.
15:06The reason why they won that game is because McCaffrey was able to eat
15:11in the past game and the run game.
15:13For me, he's been far and away their most consistent
15:16and best offensive weapon.
15:19I can't argue with that.
15:21Each time I've talked to you about this,
15:23I feel like you are underselling Mack a little bit yesterday.
15:27Just a little bit.
15:28Tell me the biggest throw Mack made yesterday.
15:30It doesn't matter.
15:31No, it does matter.
15:32Dink and dunk does not give you 235 yards on 19 completions.
15:38It does when you've got yak, yak, yak, yak, yak.
15:40That wasn't a huge yak game.
15:43That was a huge yak game.
15:44It was a pretty big yak game,
15:45and I'm wondering the biggest throw air yards-wise that he made.
15:49He had the one that Watkins made the catch.
15:52I was just about to say.
15:53Yeah, first down.
15:54That was a lot of Watkins.
15:55It was a pretty decent throw.
15:56Is that the one where they both looked to have possession?
15:59They both did have possession, but possession goes to the offense there.
16:03Other than that, the touchdown pass to McCaffrey,
16:06that was a Shanahan special.
16:09And Juwan Jennings with an unbelievable double pick.
16:12He picked two guys on that play, and whatever, no call.
16:16McCaffrey is able to slide out.
16:17That was a Shanahan special.
16:19Mack was fine.
16:20I'm not here to disrespect Mack,
16:22but this was not a drop back and throw it 40 times a game Mack.
16:27Mack was efficient, but Mack,
16:29most of the throws were underneath, checkdowns, screens.
16:34Yeah.
16:35I mean, I watched it back this morning.
16:36Yeah, no, I watched the game.
16:38I saw the game.
16:38I know you did, but I'm still waiting to hear, like, the big throw,
16:41like the big time.
16:42That's not how I watch football.
16:44I don't think that's how the Niners play football.
16:46They sure didn't yesterday.
16:46First thing you said in the other room was,
16:48what's the wow throw?
16:49I don't need a wow throw.
16:50No, he was fine.
16:51I need you to not turn the ball over
16:53and have your teammates catch the ball when you throw it to them.
16:55And he did turn it over in a spot where you could not have a turnover.
16:58And that was his one bad play.
17:00Right.
17:00And actually, it was not a deal breaker
17:02because even if something goes wrong there,
17:04you're still ahead at halftime and getting the ball coming out.
17:07But, yeah, that was a bad play that he didn't eat that one.
17:11You've got to feel like if that rush is coming,
17:14don't throw that football.
17:15So that was his one big mistake.
17:17But outside of that, dude, take that one play away.
17:20And did they credit that as a fumble, not a pick?
17:23Yep, which is why it blew my mind.
17:24His QB rating is 135 because if that was a pick,
17:28his QB rating would be about 96.
17:29I don't know how the hell that was a fumble.
17:31His arm was clearly coming forward.
17:33And it doesn't matter.
17:34Whatever.
17:35All my fumbles hit the ground in my world.
17:37Yeah, I got it.
17:38He played a really good football game.
17:41They scored 34 points.
17:44Yeah, I thought he was great.
17:45So nobody's going to say the defense, though, huh?
17:47The bend but don't break and they've had their bad days.
17:50But the fact that they just keep overcoming.
17:52Oh, the defense was by far the story for me.
17:54Oh, but not yesterday.
17:55Just to his question.
17:56Oh, no.
17:57Yesterday for me, the defense was the story.
17:58But all year, the defense.
18:00I feel like everyone.
18:01The defense has been mostly pretty good.
18:02I mean, bend but don't break.
18:03But, you know, you look at previous games where they gave up big,
18:06big gash plays.
18:07It was just last Sunday.
18:09And honestly, the Giants did them such a big favor yesterday.
18:12The Giants come out and they go tempo.
18:14Not hurry up, but no huddle.
18:16And it's boop, boop, boop, boop, boop.
18:17It's down the field.
18:18And then they stop doing that.
18:20Thank you, table.
18:20That is, wow.
18:21That's what I mean.
18:22That is, wow.
18:23I saw it very, very differently.
18:25I don't think this defense was the story of the game at all yesterday.
18:29I thought they were good enough based on the personnel that they have.
18:34But I think they were playing a quarterback who was playing his fourth or fifth game.
18:38I don't think it's a very good team.
18:40I think they lost both of their best offensive players.
18:44They gave up 24 points.
18:46They gave up 5.6 yards per carry.
18:48I don't think that the Niner defense was great yesterday.
18:51I think that they were the ones that I would call fine against a not very good football team.
18:57And they all were good enough on offense, efficient enough to outscore them.
19:01But, yeah, that's a team you should beat, and they did.
19:06I feel like the Giants, several times during that game, on third down, he threw short of the sticks.
19:14Yep.
19:15All, like, six times.
19:17Just make the tackle.
19:18How many times did you say that?
19:19At least three or four in the first half.
19:23But watch a lot of football, Stony, other places.
19:25It happens more than you think.
19:27It ain't just him doing it.
19:28But the Niners, on the other hand, seem to be catching their balls two yards beyond the first down.
19:34It's amazing sometimes you watch that upper camera, and it's just like five receivers running down to about the sticks,
19:44and then they just all turn around.
19:45That's funny.
19:46But, anyway, they tackled right after the catch, I thought, yesterday.
19:51They did well with that.
19:52Yeah, they didn't miss any of those tackles at the first down stick.
19:54Like, hey, I got a question for you guys.
19:56Can you help me here?
19:58Dibs.
19:58Yeah.
19:59What do you know about Michael Carter?
20:01Which one?
20:02Is it running back for the Cardinals?
20:05Arizona?
20:05Yeah.
20:06And they're not going to use him.
20:07I mean, it's...
20:07I'm up 17, and he's got that guy.
20:11Was Dallas defense, oh boy.
20:13You told me to tweak Dallas' defense.
20:15Oh boy.
20:15Tonight's going to be Bam Knight.
20:17What does that mean?
20:17What does that mean?
20:18That's the running back for the Cardinals.
20:20Oh, okay.
20:20Got it.
20:20Bam Morris.
20:22No, Bam Knight.
20:22Bam Adebayo.
20:23Yeah, no, Bam Knight.
20:24Still Bam Knight.
20:26But yeah, it's not going to be...
20:29Michael Carter actually got released off of this team and then re-signed to the practice
20:33squad and elevated.
20:34So N.A. probably being not available?
20:36Yep.
20:37So he might not even be available today.
20:39Might not, yeah.
20:39So this is hashtag random before we get out of here.
20:43Yeah, my neighbor bid on the over last night with the 630 Laker game in Miami Heat.
20:47Lakers won.
20:48Doing okay without LeBron.
20:49I went off and we know we were here for his rant.
20:52We all witnessed it about the NBA and the load management.
20:56But do you know Luka and Reeves are out tonight?
20:58They got a back-to-back.
20:59But that's what's wrong with the league.
21:02And you can be like, Guru, shut up.
21:03And some will.
21:04But I won't.
21:05But how can you justify sitting both of those dudes and dibs you just played not even a day
21:11ago and the season just started?
21:13Like, that's bad for the league.
21:16Do you remember when, did you, you should go, go search out Steve Kerr's answer on this
21:22when we talked to him last week.
21:24Because you guys had a really cool conversation about what MJ said.
21:28Yeah.
21:28About load management.
21:29And then we brought that up.
21:31Because I was like, I bet, I bet you heard your old teammate there talking about load management.
21:35And I was kind of just playing, like, messing around with him.
21:40But he launched into a pretty involved answer as to why it completely makes sense that guys
21:47could do it back then and can't do it now.
21:52In terms of, it's pretty fascinating the way he talked about the way that the floor,
21:58the floor coverage, how much faster the game is, the different way, and I won't do it justice.
22:04You should go listen to what he said about it.
22:07Because he's pretty smart about the whole thing, obviously.
22:09But if you're holding a Laker ticket to see Luka or Reeves, and you're in Portland making,
22:14you know, bills up the wing-wing, and they're not there, that's who I'm thinking about.
22:19You still get Scoot Henderson.
22:20You do.
22:21You do.
22:21And what Steve basically was saying.
22:23Actually, he was out.
22:24And I went back to the last year of the Bulls dynasty, the last dance year, and the Lakers
22:30were number one in pace.
22:31And if you took their pace and you applied it to last year, they were dead last and not
22:37even close to 29th.
22:40And the Lakers, in that year, 1998.
22:42So you're saying that's the need for back the game.
22:44It's not only the pace, but also what Steve said, which is when you play defense now,
22:48you have to guard from the rim to 30 feet and back and back again and back again.
22:53And teams are now playing all 94 feet.
22:56They're doing that to the Warriors.
22:57Everyone's doing that to everyone.
22:59So even when you're out there, and I even joke with Steve, like, yeah, Steve, when you
23:02played, like, give it to MJ, and the four of you are over there on the weak side, like,
23:07exchanging business cards and handshakes and having coffee.
23:10But even now, like, the Warriors, when they do that, when Jimmy goes ISO, you've got, like,
23:15weak side cuts, you've got other screens, you've got more action, the split action, you know,
23:19and all the rest of it.
23:20You're going to, what if the Warriors sit a guy or two in the next two nights?
23:25Why do I feel like we won't get Jimmy, Dre, and Steph on one night?
23:29What about two of them?
23:30I know we're not going to get Al.
23:33Well, you've got to start Al.
23:36Why?
23:37Just to get better results.
23:39I believe.
23:40Just me, man.
23:41Hey, Stiney, how many players do you think played all 82 last year?
23:45Oh, boy.
23:45In the association?
23:47Well, didn't somebody play 83?
23:49Not last year.
23:50No.
23:50I would say less than five.
23:54How many?
23:54I'm going to say two.
23:55I'll say three.
23:56How many?
24:00Seven.
24:01The answers are 11.
24:02Oh, damn.
24:03You got the names?
24:04One Warrior.
24:05Buddy Hill.
24:06Looney.
24:06And one former Warrior.
24:08Looney.
24:09Jordan Poole?
24:10No.
24:11Harrison Barnes.
24:12Oh.
24:13Buddy and HB.
24:15Buddy.
24:16Even Julian Champagne played all 82.
24:19Was Buddy the one who played 83 the year before?
24:23Mikael Bridges, I think, played 84.
24:25But, yeah, Buddy played 83, I think, the year before.
24:27Yeah, yeah, yeah.
24:27Yeah.
24:28That's fun.
24:29All righty.
24:30Well, you guys bring it home.
24:31I played today.
24:32Who did?
24:33No, it's off the drop.
24:35All right, so wait one more time.
24:36What do y'all need tonight?
24:37What do you need tonight?
24:38I need Dallas to not score.
24:40Speak it.
24:40I need Williams and Aubrey to get 22 combined points.
24:43Okay.
24:44And I need some guy named Carter to stay N.A.
24:47I think you'll be fine.
24:48Yeah.
24:48How many points does he need?
24:5017.
24:50He's not doing that.
24:52I feel pretty good.
24:52I got the 99%.
24:54Who's the guy?
24:56You're playing.
24:57Cam.
24:57Oh, okay.
24:58All right.
24:58What's up, Cam?
25:00That'd be terrible if someone started someone who's not playing, huh?
25:04My name is Buddy.
