04:28The one thing I like is, so Gardner goes to the Colts for two firsts,
04:35and Williams goes to the Cowboys for a first and a second.
04:40So, obviously, those two particular players, that was too much for the Niners.

04:50But the one thing I was thinking, and it was not me, actually, Evan brought it up,
04:54is who knows the Jets' defense better than Salah?
04:57Yeah, so they must have been, I don't know about in on it,
05:03but they must have known what it was exactly going to take for both those guys each.
05:09And I'll bet you Salah was like, that's too much for either one or both.

05:18So you're going to pay Brock Purdy next year $53 million,
05:21and so that's going to hit the books hard.

05:30And Brandon Ayuk is yet to play this year, and he's still on the books.
05:33So even though some people would say cap schmap,
05:37and they've done a good job of manipulating the cap down there in Santa Clara,
05:40if you add Quinn and Williams and that hit, now it starts to squeeze you.
05:45So you give up a first and a second, and you take on a big contract.
05:49In fact, that to me is bad business.

05:52So, yeah, I don't buy that Salah says, okay, that means Quinnen or Jermaine Johnson's not worth that pick.
05:59I think that the 49ers front office is like, we're not doing that right now.

06:31They're rebooting, and they're trying to get younger and cheaper and all of that.
06:35And now you strip the two best players off of it as well.
06:38I think that they think that it would be silly to push chips into the middle of the table for this year.
06:44So, if you're McCaffrey or Trent with that thought, you're a little lightweight disappointed?

08:47because it's an inexact science.
08:49So, like, now it's like, cool, we have a first-round pick, which is shiny,
08:53but it could also be a bust or just a lesser player.

08:58Well, the Jets need a quarterback, so they're going to try and do everything they can
09:01to get their first-round pick, which will be a high first-round pick.
09:05So this year, I don't know if it's a great quarterback year,
09:07but the next year, I'm being told, is a great one.

11:12The new head coach, new coaching staff, you don't have a quarterback, you don't have an offensive line.
11:18You have a situation that is, like, heading toward the No. 1 overall pick.
11:22So, embrace it.
11:23Go ahead and, you know, beeline for it.
11:25As opposed to, let's gut out a 4-13 year and get the 5th pick.
11:29How about you go 2-15 and you lock down the No. 1 pick, and then you get Dallas' pick, and now you have a chance to really start to jumpstart it.

15:12So, in the case of Mack Jones and Brock Purdy, if on Wednesday and Thursday they split it 50-50, it –

16:54So, I do think that they look at these Wednesday, Thursday, Friday practice reps as sacrosanct.
17:01And they think, no matter who we go with, you're our guy.
17:04And if they're at all in question about whether or not Brock can get through it, then they won't give him the majority.
17:09I also don't buy this idea.
17:11I think they love for us to think that they show up Wednesday as if they've all just met each other for the first time.
17:18And they're like, oh, we're going to get out there and just see who feels.

17:23They have a plan.
17:24This is all they do all day, every day, all week long.
17:27They have a plan and at least an indication of what they're thinking they're going to do.
17:35And they do not play on turf again until December 22nd.
17:39And so, I think for a while now, it has probably been the plan to wait until this week to sort of reassess the situation.
17:48But I don't think they're showing up tomorrow morning and being like, okay, run around and tell me if it hurts.
17:53It's like, I would imagine they have an idea of who is likely to probably lead the way at the start of practice.

18:53Kyler Murray and the Cardinals have consulted with multiple doctors on his foot.
18:56And they say the timetable can be anywhere from four to eight weeks.
19:00So now he's got more time to heal.
19:03And I said this yesterday in advance of the game.
19:04How convenient.
19:05I said the people I've talked to in Arizona are saying the team wants Jacoby Brissett anyway.
19:10They look different.
19:11They look great.

19:12Ask Marvin Harrison Jr. who he wants.
19:14They would have won that Niner game, I believe, with Brissett.

20:42And that is an emotional thing in a locker room when your teammates go out the door or you get new teammates to come in the door.
20:49And I think that a team that's gone through so much adversity and has still found this way to be 6-3 and 3-0 in the division and 6-1 in the conference, you've got to give them something.
